With Equestria at peace and harmony reaching across all the realm, for Twilight, it was only natural she'd want to expand further. Whether it was her curiosity or her hubris, Twilight soon finds herself hanging between here and eternity.

I really gotta get better at writing descriptions. But uh, yeah. Enjoy my attempt at nihilism! That's probably never been said before, holy hecc.

An IT manager with an embarrassing secret personal pastime (fanfic author) gets an unexpected video conference call from Equestria, and a strange request that he cannot refuse because:
1 - Twilight is asking, and
2 - Pinkie Pie won’t let him.

This story is a sequel to Midnight Station - Part 01: Twilight faces the Dark Martial March

Twilight is missing, her friends wake up in a strange and confusing world. What happened? How did they escape the battle against the knights of order? Where is Applejack's hat?

They don't find answers to their questions but they do find an undesirable new friend...

Equestria has witnessed centuries of rapid technological advancement during Twilight's rule. Innovations in the production and integration of magic has led to countless improvements in the quality and efficiency of life in Equestria, and enabling ponies to finally touch the stars and new worlds. However, with the rise of more and more energy-heavy processes and a stagnation in development regarding the extraction of energy, Twilight turns to the biggest and final step in energy extraction: a dyson sphere: a massive device that would surround the sun and allow virtually all the energy released through nuclear fusion to be harnessed by Equestria.

Two former princesses have some concerns.

Death is a reasonable fear, but it is also a constant reassurance. A promise that no matter how bad things get, they will one day end.

That promise was broken, leaving Rainbow Dash to pay the cost.

After a few stressful months, Peter has now found his place as the new Defender of Equestria. With his new friends now aware of his dual identity as Spider-Man, Peter now feels more at home. Not only that, but it appears as if love might be in the air

But the threats aren't over yet, as old foes return once more to push our heroes to their limit. And will force Peter to show more of his hidden nature.

Through scientific invention, Twilight shielded her eyes from witnessing the inevitable deaths of her friends.
