Well, this is rather late in coming, but here we go… commentary for Some Canterlot Wedding! As always, I recommend only reading this after reading the chapter.
I couldn’t resist doing the ‘I’m flattered, maybe even a little curious, but the answer is no’ joke one more time. Rule of three and all that. I don’t expect to see it again.
It's been several weeks since the last chapter, and I figured I should give an explanation. Sure, three weeks without a new chapter would actually be considered normal for some stories on this site, but it's a major slowdown compared to the rate of the previous chapters. Well, first, chapters are probably going to be posted less frequently than before for a simple reason: I started up with a bit of a buffer, and I've sort of burned through it. So this is the commentary for A Hearth’s Warming Eve Carol.
I think this marks the first time I legitimately just threw out everything about the original story. Sure, “Griffon the Prank-Off” didn’t have much to do with the original, but it at least still had the idea of Gilda pulling pranks on people. This one, though, just dispensed entirely with the original idea.
