Turbo, a gray pegasus with a coal black mane, awoke in his bed with a groan. Ever since a week ago an incident sprung up involving somepony using a magical amulet to enslave a whole town -Ponyville, he had heard-, he kept himself locked, in his house, with the occasional visit from a friend to try and convince him to come outside (having a phobia of being alone (which is why he shares his home with another friend, Wind Tunnel, who helps pay the bills) he gave all of his friends keys to his house. After the Ponyville thing, he started to regret giving all of his friends keys.
"Morning, sleepyhead." said Wind Tunnel, a snow white pegasus with a red and black mane, also just waking up on is separate bed, next to Turbo.
"Just leave me alone, Tunnel." complained Turbo.
"Really dude? You've been saying that for the past week." Tunnel responds "You've got to go outside for once, meet up with the rest of your pals. I hear that Sunny Day is willing to spend a night with you in bead, if you come out of your house for just a second." Then Tunnel winked.
"Meh, I don't care. I just don't want to have to go through all the torture those other ponies are putting me through for this." Turbo points at the necklace around his neck. It was a gift from his passed father, Static Shock, a sturdy pegasus with . He died by getting struck by lightning in the middle of a thunderstorm, that he helped to create. Even the irony of the whole situation did not help to cheer Turbo up. He WAS just 6 at the time of his fathers death. "I don't know why my dad even gave this thing to me. Mom said it was given to me, from his will."
"Sooo... Why don't you just, I don't know, take it off?" Tunnel says, sarcastically.
" Don't you remember dude? I CAN'T" Turbo shouts
"Woah, sorry dude. Hard to remember these kinds of things." Tunnel says apologizing.
The pendent in question was a special one, to put it lightly. It had a solid gold chain, and two huge 20 carat Ruby and Emerald gemstones in the front. After putting it on, when he received it, he found out he cannot take it off. The gold chain instantly tightened around his neck, almost choking him. His mother, Solar Wind, a sun yellow unicorn with a green mane, almost decapitated him trying to pull the necklace off his neck.
Now this would just be a small problem, but straight out of Murphy's Law, the necklace was more than he thought. At his first day of Flight School, the bullies swarmed him, making fun of his necklace. Calling him a stallion-lover for wearing it, and even one kid tried to take it from him. That is what caused Turbo to fear the pendent. The necklace then responded to the colt trying to grab it with his hoof, and turned him into a Tuna Fish with wings. Everyone surrounding the colt- now Pega-Tuna -ran and flew far away from him.
Freaked out of his mind, Turbo immediately flew home and told his mother what happened. And after a whole day at the Cloudsdale Public Library, he and his mother found out that the necklace he was wearing was known as the "Mira Virtus". The necklace gave the wearer magical powers that rival the princess alicorn's magical capability. Meaning that if he wanted to, he could move the sun and the moon by himself. After discovering this, he, and his mother, were called by the Royal Guard, to personally talk to the princesses about the Mira Virtus.
"I'm just gonna take a shower dude. I'll think about going outside." Turbo said.
"Whatever dude. I'll be out with the guys at out usual place." Tunnel said, leaving the house.
"Okay du- WAIT, WHAT'S THE USUAL PLACE?" Turbo shouted.
The door shuts. "Damn it. Well, might as well try to find him. But first, a nice shower!" Turbo says, then jumping into the bathtub.
Just like his mother, Turbo likes his showers cold. It helps him wake up, and focus on the upcoming day. After his shower, he stumbled into the kitchen, grabbing a box of his favorite cereal, Wonder O's, out of the pantry, along with a jug of milk. As he slowly gnawed at his cereal, he thought about what he had been doing. Maybe he was just overacting when he went into hiding inside of his house. Maybe the other ponies don't care anymore. And, to admit it, he did miss his friends.
So he decided. Today would be the day he finally left his house!
After finishing his cereal, he went to the door, and stopped right in front of it.
"C'mon Turbo, you can do this. If you can pass Flight School, you can do this! Turbo thought, trying to gather the courage to exit his safe zone. After 5 minutes and 32 seconds (yes he counted) he slowly, opened his door, and instantly shielded his eyes from the sunlight.
"Celestia damn it! If I knew it was going to be so bright today, I would've grabbed my sunglasses! Turbo complained. Seeing that nopony was near his house, he stood on his tippy-hooves (he was embarrassed that he still called the tips of his hooves that), and slowly, but surely, walked out to the pathway connected to his home, and examined his surroundings.
"Hmmm,,, there is nopony around. Where is everypony? Turbo says, with a quizzical expression.
And then, faster than Spitfire and Soarin' combined, all of his friends, flying out of the bushes on both sides of his walkway group tackled him.
"What- the- HELL!?" Turbo thought, panicking. ~
