T

Some ponies want fame. Some ponies want money. Some ponies want not to be alone. It is a primal urge allowing them to withstand the distant fear of death. Wanting to be remembered, to leave something behind cannot be held against anypony.

However, there are those who just want a piece of cardboard to lie on so that the ground isn't so cold, a place shielded from wind and rain, and some leftovers to munch on from time to time. They prefer to not think of themselves as ponies so that not having any of the normal things doesn't hurt so much.

They are happy. No, they look happy.

This is a very interesting character, and the story itself is well-written to boot. I haven't really seen anything like this on the site before, so I look forward to reading more. Quick question though; Grayscale has a speech impediment, correct? It's not a bayou accent?

6851861 Speech impediment. Can't say more without spoilers.

This sounds like it needs a sad tag. Why doesn't this story have a sad tag?

6859452 What do you mean? It's a shining fountain of joy, optimism, and happiness. :scootangel:

Bro what is this

6860571 I am, after careful examination and a period of self-reflection, about 93% certain that this is a story.

6860604 ah yes, thank you, I wasn't entirely sure.

The way Greyscale sees the world is really interesting... and kinda sad...

6903365 It takes a toll on a person when he knows he is worth less than the air he breathes.

This is a "Scootaloo is an orphan" story, right?

Wow... he fixed the shower and got his pay reduced instead?

6923570

No, he assumed his pay would be reduced. Instead, Grey Shrine took pity on him.

6923892 Huh... I didn't realize that was the case... thanks for letting me know...

6923570 English isn't my native language. Is what I write difficult to understand because of it?

6924625 Nah... that's my own fault... I was reading it when i just woke up... so I was groggy... your writing is pretty good... all things considered...

Wait, WHAT? This guy has some serious self-worth issues.

6972339 Or a very clear view of at least one tiny piece of the world concerning him.

Oh wow that was great. :rainbowlaugh:

This is certainly interesting.

7059515 Thank you, hope your interest remains.

Amphetamines help produce dopamine in people with ADHD. Exposure to excess dopamine can effect motor skills and lower inhibition. It's basically chemical mind control and can be addictive if used over long term treatment. You get an a+ for fictional prescription and psychiatric treatment practices.

EDIT: SCIENCE BITCH

7061368 Funny, I mostly just winged it.

:yay:, you're back!

7398979 Yeah,
Thanks for still being here.

NEW UPDATE! NEW UPDATE! YAAAS! I'm so glad to see this back up and running, it's definitely one of my favorites. Keep up the good work!

7400266 Thank you, I'll do what I can.

After waiting so long I had to get use to translating his impaired speech agian

7405125 I'm really trying to make it weird but understandable, but phonetic reading differs so much in all languages that it's so-so.

Wait, he ran his entire leg through for a blood sample? Man, he really does misinterpret everything.

7481294 It wasn'T really intentional, just used a bit too much force.

If I ever start a soup company, the label on my chicken noodle is going to say: "It's morally questionable, but delicious!"

7667407
You can add healthy to the label too.

7822987 Perhaps he doesn'T like strawberries?

I slide the top off of one already open and pull out a clear bottle of something green and gooey. The label on it reads simply - Changeling venom. Shrugging, I put it back and look into another open crate which contains the same kind of bottles.

UMM :twilightoops:

Wow. I welcome this new direction the story is taking. Also, that scene with the 'shower' was hilarious.

7924206 I'm sure there is a good explanation for everything.

A helpless Pony leaving in the streets? Oh this will be good to read! :pinkiehappy:

Wow, this story is really sweet. I really like t that the Guards have him work even though he is poor and helpless. I can't wait to read more.

He sounds almost like Forest Gump to me. Is this inspired by him?

No!!! Why why!!! This is so sad :fluttercry:

A month? That doesn't sound right when so far it sounds to me it's been way more than a month. 3-4 months sounds right.

Stuff happened unusually quickly, and GS had help .)

...mysteeeeeerious heeelp...

7977207 Help is coming :rainbowdetermined2:

7977947 Next chapter sometime in March.
