> Forgotten ashes > by Akuma > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > 1 : Realization > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sun was rising, ponies woke up to the warmth of the sun right on their faces and ate breakfast. Others skipped breakfast to go to work, but their coworkers brought snacks for them to eat if they were still hungry. Royal guards greeted eachother in their own ways, some said hi, some hoof-bumped, and some said code words to eachother to know if they're imposters. Raven Inkwell looked at the clipboard that was grasped in her magic, and looked at the stairway infront of her. She sighed, she looked at the stairway with a tired look. "Faust damn it Princess. Why does your room need to have the entrance be stairs!?" She exclaimed as she started to climb up the stairs. "Well, atleast she rose the sun in a different way, maybe she's much more happy than usual because it's morning? The sun did shine brighter a few minutes ago." ———————————————————————————————————————— Princess Celestia absolutely loathed mornings, she never even liked mornings! Much less the day! Too many idiotic nobles to deal with. She turned on the faucet of her bathroom and began to wash her face after casting a spell she created so she can have hands made out of magic after taking a bath. She glared at her magic hands, 'I should have been transported to an anthro equestria, not a full-on equine one.' she thought to her mind. She was about to grab her face towel when she saw a hoofed claw grab it instead. Celestia looked beside her, seeing her long-time unicorn friend, Shadow Facade, raising an eyebrow at her, holding a strange device. Shadow Facade was a unicorn who had a maroon coat and light pink mane with neon pink streaks on it. They had blue eyes and gills on the side of their neck and hoofed claws, they seemed to have canines instead of normal herbivore teeth. "Glaring at your 'hands' won't make it turn real again, Sol. Be lucky we still have our old belongings from our universe." They stated. The white alicorn just closed her eyes and sighed. "My apologies, I just miss having to feel my hands and arms instead of magical hands, hooves, and forelegs Facade. Also what device is that?" Facade hummed, "My own DNA test machine, I already tested myself and hundreds of your guards with families with it, so it's one hundred percent accurate." They proceeded to their friend's wet face with the face towel, making the princess sputter from surprise. "Look I don't care if you're a princess or my friend, do you even know what day it is?" They asked, gaining a tilted head from the princess. "The one thousandth summer-what-now celebration? Yes I remember what day it is, you kept pestering me about it!" Shouted Celestia. Facade just facehoofed and brought out Celestia's phone (Celestia rose an eyebrow when she saw her phone) and clicked the notes app. Facade brought the phone up to Princess Celestia's face with magic, who muttered "The fuck???" When it touched her snout. "It's the first episode of the show! We need to meet your student!" They yelled, grinning like a child—or a foal—who just met their favorite superhero. Celestia groaned and covered her face with her right wing. "We already did meet her, dozens of time already. She is my student remember?" She asked. Facade just shook their head, "No no no, you don't understand Sol, we haven't met her yet during THE SHOW." They gritted their teeth at the last part, looking at Celestia's eyes, both untwitching. Silence. "Oh. Oh! During the show!? We don't even know if she's going to write the same thing to me!" Celestia cringed at the last part, ever since reading a fanfic in her human years, she started having thoughts that her just being in this body might mess up an act of hers, causing twilight to write something else instead of her "sister." Facade rolled their eyes, "C'mon dude, it's not like this is an Alternate Universe or some shit, if it was, I would have noticed immediately." Facade stated, smiling at her while she walked outside the bathroom door. "Don't test fate my friend, don't test fate." She stated and started putting on her regalia and eyeliner ("Why do you even bother putting on the eyeliner?" "I look magnificent in it."). KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. "Oh for the love of- did I not tell Raven to just yell at me to come down instead of knocking?" She mumbled under her breath, walking towards the door. Shadow Facade casted a spell onto themself, making them invisible, even placing down their device. Celestia opened the door, seeing a wheezing Raven Inkwell infront of her. Princess Celestia pretended to looked shocked, even going as far as to place a hoof on her chest. "Raven! Did I not tell you to just yell for me to go down the stairs?" She asked, concerned (and definetely not trying to laugh because of her secretary's forgetfulness of that ONE COMMAND TO JUST YELL.) for her being. Her secretary just coughed and straightened up, "My apologies Your Majesty, but your bedroom door was too far away for me to yell at." She stated. Princess Celestia rolled her eyes, amused. "Come on my little pony, I will teleport both of us back down." At the nod of her secretary, she powered up her horn, and teleported them both away. Shadow Facade decasted the spell and sighed. "I swear, she's going to break character and laugh at an accident soon like a teenager." They looked at a spot on the floor, seeing a patch of fur. Facade grinned, they grasped the patch of fur with their magic and immediately put it inside their own DNA test machine. After a few seconds, the results finally popped out in the form of a paper. They grabbed the paper with their claws and read it. "Age yadda yadda—oh wow she's actually ten thousand years old—height eight feet—that's not even her canon height something fishy is going on—and.." Facade froze, eyes wide open and mouth agape. They gulped. "Oh shit. Solaris is NOT going to be happy once she realizes that her sister Luna isn't her sister in this universe.." > 2 : Preparation > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia stood on her throne, listening to a unicorn noble explaining their problem. "-and those peseants had the gall to say that they owe me nothing!" The unicorn yelled, making Princess Celestia raise an eyebrow. 'I'm pretty sure that they do owe you nothing, you've done nothing but complain about their land.' She thought. "Mister Moonstone Vision, they have done nothing wrong to you, I believe you were just overreacting." Celestia stated with a motherly tone, internally she was groaning from his sheer audacity to complain instead of stating a problem to a ruler. Moonstone grumbled, "I guess you're right princess." Celestia's eyes slightly widen at the response. 'Well at least you know you're wrong, the other nobles are shi-' BANG! "Oh dear heavens not again." Celestia muttered outloud, seeing that the throne doors were slammed open by her friend. "CELESTIA- Hey uh so do you know you know who?" Shadow Facade asked, earning a spear to the face by the royal guards inside the room. She rose a single hoof, stopping the guards from attacking. She stared at Shadow Facade with a blank look. "Yes. Yes I do know L— you know who." She stated, raising an eyebrow for her friend to finish. They coughed. "Yeah uh- apparently they're-" Facade coughed "—not your you know what, but instead something... else?" They gritted out of their teeth. Celestia furrowed her eyebrows, "What do you mean by something else? I don't understand you when you just kept saying you know what!" She exclaimed. Facade looked at her with a face saying really bitch?. "Blue pony be child and not purple pony like in other universes." They stated. The universe we're both in turns out that Luna isn't your sister, but instead your daughter. Celestia's eyes widen. She waves a hoof around and looks at the guards and noble, "You're all dismissed." Celestia was walking the halls with Shadow Facade, who darted glances at their sides and behind them. "Mind telling me why she's my daughter and not my sister?" She asked Facade, who made a whistling kettle noise. "You kind of left a patch of fur in your room, so I took it and put it in my DNA machine. Turns out your the mom of Luna and not her sibling like we thought of." They stuttered out. Celestia hummed, "This is why I hate being Celestia, we turn into our favorite ponies and OCs and the next thing you know, we don't even have their memories." She stated and nodded at a guard who bowed at her, yet looking at the unicorn beside her. "Hey, it's afternoon now, so why hasn't Twilight send the 'Nightmare Moon is coming' letter?" Facade asked. FWOOSH! a scroll was immediately sent towards them. They both blinked, "Well that was a good timing." Facade stated. Celestia unfolded the scroll while walking, nodding at some guards who bowed. "Okay she's stating that Nightmare Moon is going to appear tomorrow, jeez Twilight, I wonder why?" She rolled her eyes, sarcasm was visible in her tone. Facade gave her a blank scroll and a fountain pen, Celestia took a double look. "How do you have a fountain pen? That's not even invented yet!" Facade shrugged at her question. "I bought it when we were still human. We're heading to the dining room to eat lunch right?" "Yeah." "Well write the letter while we're walking, I'll guide you." Facade exclaimed. They coughed, "Write this: My dearest most faithful student Twilight–" Celestia immediately wrote on the scroll. "–you know that I value your diligence, and that I trust you complete." Facade looked at Celestia to know if she's writing it, she nods. "But you simply must stop reading those DUSTY old books!" Facade exclaimed while the dining room doors opened. Celestia grinned hearing the dusty part. "Should I write 'My dear Twilight'?" Celestia asked, Facade just nodded. "There is more to a pony's life than studying," Celestia wrote it down while talking to the chef pony for her and the guest's food. "So I'm sending you to supervise preparations of the Summer Sun Celebration–" they looked at Celestia again, who nodded at their direction, the chef pony behind the kitchen looked at the Princess and the unicorn in surprise, seeing that they acted like old friends. "—in this years rotation: Ponyville!" Shadow Facade grinned, earning a laugh from Celestia, who sat down. "Should I write your next sentence down too?" Celestia asked, smirking. Facade just chuckled while also sitting down, "Yeah there's more." The pearl-white alicorn just rolled her eyes. "And, I even have a more exensal-" "are you sure that's the right word?" "–task for you to complete." Facade just shrugged at Celestia's question. "Make some friends!" They grinned like a madman just by finishing the sentence. Celestia smirked while writting her own name at the bottom in cursive. She tilted her head to the side, "Do you think that my student will be shocked that my writting looks better all of a sudden?" She asked, her friend shook their head. "No, Spike reads them outloud, so you just wrote in cursive for nothing." "Damn it." She casted a spell that teleports the scroll to her student. Their foods were immediately infront of them, "Thank you." "Thanks for the food!" Celestia and Facade thanked at the same time. Facade looked down at their food. "Wait- did you ask them to give me meat?" They pointed at the hamburger on the left side of plate, and a barbeque on a stick on the right. Celestia nodded, "You always complained that you couldn't eat meat because other ponies would judge you, but my chefs can cook griffon food which contained meat. So, I just said to make a hayburger but instead of hay, it's meat." Facade just gaped at her, and then immediately began to eat the food. They ate in silence. "...What will you do tomorrow? That's the day of your uh– biological relative, coming back." Facade awkwardly asked. Noting that the two guards beside the door they went from slightly leaned forward, trying to know what were they saying. Celestia narrowed her eyes, "My original self would have let my combat weak student fight her with her five civilian friends." She make a tsk sound. "I'm going to help the Mane Six, and make sure that I'll be the one fighting, while they charge up for the rainbow beam." She said, earning a gleeful look from the unicorn infrotn of her. "You're going to use the spells you created, aren't you?" Facade asked with a raised eyebrow while grinning, Celestia nodded. Facade snickered. "Looks like Nightmare Moon won't meet Princess Celestia this time.." The alicorn grinned, her eyes gleaning with mischief. "Oh, they'll meet me alright, just as Solaris instead." Celestia— Solaris exclaimed.
