A first person POV through Garble as he helps Sunset Shimmer win her crown
In this Alternate Universe, Garble is considered one of Sunset Shimmer's most trusted right hand. He aids Sunset Shimmer in getting her crown back which had been "wrongfully" taken from her. It is up to him and the rest of Sunset's gang to get her crown back so she can be the "rightful" princess.
*Beep beep beep*That's the sound of my alarm clock as I lay on my bed, looking up to the ceiling. My eyes are still half closed as I turned my head and saw it was 6:00 in the morning. As I started to get up from bed, I took a look around my room and couldn't help but notice the huge amount of homework scattered across my desk. However that was not on my concern at the moment. Right now, I needed to get ready and meet Sunset and her gang at the back of the school before it starts. Sunset had texted everyone in the group chat she needed all of us to get her crown back. Whatever reason she wants that crown is none of my business but nonetheless I get dressed and go downstairs to fix myself some toast. As I was eating, my father comes downstairs. He's already in his work clothes as he too has somewhere to be at 6 in the morning.
"Morning, son. You off to another one of your club meets?" he asked
I nodded. "Yea. I gotta get there before 6:45" Of course, this was not true. I did have somewhere to be but it was not for a club meet. I only told my parents that or else they would get suspicious of me meeting a group of students at the back of the school before it even starts. "What about you?"
"I got called in. My boss said he needed me to come in as soon as possible. So what's this club meeting you always going to?"
"Oh it's nothing really. Just a nature club that we decided we're gonna have meets in the morning because its easier and won't interrupt our schedules during the school time." I lied.
"Ahh I see," My father slightly smiled. "Well it's already 6:15 so I suggest you get going or else you'll be late."
"Alright," I said as I quickly finish my toast and went upstairs to brush my teeth. Thank god he bought it because there was no way in hell he would be okay with me meeting other students in the back of the school early morning. I went downstairs and grabbed my backpack and car keys. Right when I walked out the door I heard my father call out
"Have a good day at school, son"
"Thanks, Dad. I will" I replied as I shut the door behind me and started to walk.
As I'm driving to Canterlot High, my phone which was being held by a built in holder started to ring. Trixie was calling me. There was a red light so I stopped and picked up. Putting my phone on speaker I responded, "Yeah, Trixie? what's up?" I continued driving as I was speaking.
"Garble, Trixie needs to know if you're still coming"
"Yeah, I am. I'm driving over right now. Be there shortly. Did you need anything?"
"Nothing really just wanted to make sure. Sunset is pretty pissed about Fluttershy turning in her crown yesterday. The Fall Formal is tomorrow so she needs our help to get it back for her"
"Okay. I'm almost there just give me five minutes." I said. I hung up and continued to drive. Canterlot High was just in sight. After a few minutes, I pulled into the parking lot and parked the car. Thank God I remembered to bring my jacket because it was pretty chilly as I stepped out of my car. The breeze wasn't too harsh but not gentle either. I made my way towards the back of the school where Trixie and Sunset were already there.
"Good. you're here now." Sunset says as she looks at me. "Something happened yesterday that pissed me off! That bitch Fluttershy turned in my crown!"
"Yeah, Trixie already told me." I said. "And where are the others?"
"Hoops, Dumbbell, and Score are coming here shortly. Gilda as well," Trixie answered.
"Okay, what about Snips and Snails?"
"They were too lazy to show up. But don't worry about them. We need to discuss how to get Sunset's crown back."
Three more boys and a girl started to come over. Sure enough it was those Trixie had mentioned. All the boys were wearing athletic clothes and jackets. Gilda was wearing a brown leather jacket, jeans and black shoes. She cracked her knuckles.
"So you need me to beat up that Flutterbitch or what?" She asked while laughing sadistically.
"No, Gilda. We don't." I said.
"Since when did you care about her?" Gilda raised an eyebrow at me.
"I don't," I replied flatly. "But beating up Fluttershy isn't going to make the crown magically appear in Sunset's hands will it? We need an actual plan, Gilda. Not everything can be solved by sending someone to the emergency room."
"But she turned in Sunset's Crown!" Gilda said irritated.
"We know. But like I already said, beating up Fluttershy won't get us anywhere. Our main concern is getting Sunset's crown back. How many times you beat up Fluttershy afterwards I don't care but right now, the crown is our main priority." I was getting a bit annoyed. This girl thinks that beating up a student will somehow get Sunset's crown back. If Fluttershy still has the crown in her possession, then it's a different story as Gilda can just threaten her into giving back it back, but since she already turned it in there was absolutley no point beating her up for it. It would get us nowhere.
"Garbles right, we need to focus on getting Sunset's crown back," Score said. He turned towards Garble. "So what do you need us to do?"
"Hey, Sunset did you mention this one girl yesterday? The one who apparently tried to talk shit on you?" I asked
"Oh yeah, that fucking whore. She thinks she can walk all over me. Didn't bother to remember her name."
"Okay you three" I pointed at the three boys. "I need you to keep an eye on this girl. She has light purple skin with long dark purple hair and a light blue shirt with a purple skirt and pair of purple boots." I look at Sunset. "Is that right?"
Sunset nodded. "That's correct."
"Keep an eye on her. She might be a major obstacle for us. You too Gilda. Keep an eye on the other students. Make sure no one changes their mind on voting Sunset. If they seem to, do whatever it takes to make them reconsider. Got it?"
"We do"
"of course"
"yeah"
"Whatever"
After our little discussion, we parted ways to go to our classrooms when Sunset called Trixie and I over. She looked at us with a serious expression. "I need everything to be perfect today and ESPECIALLY tomorrow! You two make sure things run smoothly. That crown is important to me. Do not...let me down."
Now I hate to admit but when she said the last 5 words, I got a slight chill down my spine. I wouldn't have been so worried if I failed Sunset but she is an "all-powerful unicorn" or at least claims to be from another world. Me and Trixie are the only ones who know this since we are the ones she trusts the most. I have no idea what this "other world" she's talking about, neither does Trixie but we weren't going to take any chances. My anxiety went up slightly but nevertheless I reassured her.
"We won't"
"Trixie, will make sure you have that crown back! So you could claim your rightful place!" Trixie said.
Fluttershy walked alone in the hallway. She had asked to get a drink of water from the fountain and had been excused to do so. At the fountain, she bent forward and drank from the fountain but before she realized, there was a hand covering her mouth and the other yanked her hair pulling her back. She let out a squeak and felt someone slam her into the door. She yelped in pain but whoever attacked her wasn't done because they opened the door to the bathroom and threw her in. When she turned around, her face turned. "Wait. G-Gilda. W-what do y-you want?" she whimpered as she looked up.
"What the hell do you think, Flutterbitch?" Gilda replied cruelly.
"A-are y-y-you still m-mad about me turning i-in that c-crown?" Fluttershy was on the verge of tears.
"C-c-can y-y-you s-s-speak n-n-normally?" Gilda mocked. "Of course I am! You know how important that crown was to Sunset!"
"I already told you it's not he-" Gilda interrupted with a kick to Fluttershy's stomach. Making the timid girl yelp in pain. Whatever tears she held back was now released in huge waves of sobs as she begged Gilda to stop.
"W-w-wait please I'm sorr-" a punch to her eye made her scream in pain. She cried even harder as her hand went up to her now black eye.
"Oh boo-hoo this is what you get, Flutterbitch! Didn't you learn to not take things that don't belong to you?" Gilda shouted. She continued to beat up the poor girl all over her body from head to toe. The pain from all the bruises caused a warm release between Fluttershy's legs and the bathroom filled with a urine stench. She blushed with embarrassment and sobbed heavily. Now wishing she hadn't turned in the crown. This of course did not go unnoticed by Gilda.
"Look at you wetting your self like a baby! That's what you are! A pathetic crybaby and the only friends you have are fucking stray animals!"
"Gilda!" said a not very happy voice.
Gilda turned around to see Trixie behind her and she looked anything but happy.
"Did you not listen ANYTHING we just said?! We asked you to keep a watch on the other students. YOU'RE WASTING PRECIOUS TIME!" She screamed.
"Woah, bro just chill out. I'm almost done." Gilda said calmly
"NO! Don't tell me to chill. We need everything to be perfect and everyone to stick to the plan! TELL ME HOW IS BEATING UP FLUTTERSHY GOING TO HELP?!" Trixie was livid with her face red.
"So you're not mad Flutterbitch turned in Sunset's Crown?" Gilda shot back. She was beginning to dislike the way Trixie was speaking to her.
"I am mad about that but there's nothing we can do is there?! Like Garble already told to your thick skull, beating someone up isn't going to help us at all!"
"You're getting really pressed over a crown. What's even the big deal about it?"
"That's none of your concern! Now come on!" Trixie snapped and left the bathroom.
After the door closed Gilda muttered "Fucking whore". She decided she was done with Fluttershy but not before she threatened her. "If you tell anyone about this? I'll break your legs in 3 different places got it?"
Fluttershy nodded with tears in her eyes. "Y-yes j-j-just please go a-away." She sobbed. Gilda left the bathroom leaving the poor girl to cry on her own.
"So yeah. It's like Gilda doesn't even care!" Trixie was telling me. We were both on our lunch break. I sigh and laced my fingers through my hair.
"I'm beginning to regret letting her join us. She doesn't do anything we tell her to do. She doesn't even care how important this is...What about Hoops and them?"
"They at least care enough to stick to the plan. Everything else seems to be going smoothly."
"Good." I said. "What have Snips and Snails got on that one girl?"
"well nothing really yet, but I'm sure they'll find something."
"Okay. We gotta find a way to make Twilight unable to compete. I have few ideas." I said.
Fluttershy continued to sob on the floor until the bathroom door opened. Rainbow Dash gasped in horror. "Fluttershy?!" she ran towards her and knelt down ignoring the smell of urine. "WHAT HAPPENED?!" Her face suddenly went red with rage. "WHO DID THIS TO YOU?!"
Fluttershy remembered Gilda's threat and refused to answer. "I-I just slipped" she tried to lie.
"Fluttershy, you definitley did not slip! Tell me who did this! Wait...It was Gilda wasn't it? When I find that slut, I'm going to really let her have it!"
"N-no please. She's going to think I told you a-and" She couldn't speak anymore and sobbed uncontrollably. Rainbow's face softened and she pulled Fluttershy for a hug and comforted her. "Hey you don't have to worry but Gilda needs to be taught a lesson and the teachers aren't going to do anything." She continued to hug her more until Fluttershy finally calmed down. "And don't listen to Gilda's threats. As long as you stay by me, I'll keep you safe," she reassured.
"O-okay. Thank you, Rainbow." She sobbed quietly.
After our lunch, we start to go to our classes. My phone started to vibrate and I saw it was Sunset who was calling me.
"Yeah, Sunset?"
"How is everything going? Does everyone still seem to want to vote me?"
"Yeah it's going smoothly. Nothing too bad has happened yet."
"Good. We cannot have any missteps. Understood?"
"Yes, Sunset."
"What about that one girl?"
"Hoops and Dumbell haven't found anything on her yet. But they'll keep looking."
After Algebra class had ended (Thank God!), I had a break before my next class. While walking down the hall, my eyes caught Rainbow Dash exiting the nurse's office. I don't have to be a detective to figure out what was going on but that was not on my concern right now. I kept on walking until she spotted me.
"Hey! You think this is funny?!" she stomped towards me with a furious expression.
"What is it, Rainbow? I don't have time." I said a bit Irritated
"Sending one of your pet psychos to beat up a sensitive girl! That's what!" She snapped harshly.
"I didn't tell her to. She just went on her own." I said. "In fact I didn't even guess until I saw you walk out the nurse's office."
"So you don't even care that Gilda beat her up?"
"I don't even know Fluttershy except her name and that she likes animals but that's not my concern at the moment. Now leave me alone, Rainbow. I got some things I need to do."
"Like what? Being an asshole? You already do that all the time!"
I was getting agitated by this tomboy bitch. "Leave me alone, Rainbow Dash! I am quite stressed out right now and I don't need you to make it worse! Now get out of my way!" I shoved her away and continued walking down the hall. Hoops came up to me with a worried look on his face.
"Uhhh Garble, there's something you should see."
Hoops led me to the Cafeteria where I saw four girls I recognized. Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and AppleJack. They were all doing a song and choreography convincing the others to vote for Twilight instead of Sunset. Speaking of Sunset she saw the whole thing from the door windows. She gave me a cold glare.
"What is this, Garble? You said everything would be perfect! This doesn't look like perfect to me!"
"Sunset, just calm down okay? This is just a minor setback I'm sure we can figure something out." I was getting worried hoping she would calm down.
"Listen here, Garble. The Fall Formal is tomorrow and this crown is really important to me you know that right?"
"Yes, Sunset I do. I truly do."
Sunset then gives me a death glare and said slowly, "If I don't have that crown tomorrow, you'll meet a side of me you don't ever want to see. Got it?"
I felt a chill down my spine at Sunset's threat. "Y-yes, I got it."
Sunset turned around and walked away. I put my hands on top of my head. "Fuck!" I muttered.
"Sorry, Garble, we really tried. But I guess everyone loves their dance or something," Hoops said.
"It's whatever," I told him. But I need you to do something for me. You and the others I need you to trash the gym. The one that Pinkie decorated and frame Twilight."
"On it." Hoops said as he started to head out.
I went to the Library to sit down on one of the couches. I need a break right now.
Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie, and AppleJack walked down the hallway together after their whole cafeteria song. Twilight felt there was no way no one would vote for her after this. "That was such a great idea, Rarity!"
"If you say so. Though I do wish Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were here with us. Something awful must've happened. They saw Rainbow Dash running towards them. "Rainbow Dash! What happened?!"
"It's Fluttershy," Rainbow said with a bit of concern in her voice. "She got beaten up real bad. She looks horrible."
"What?!" All the girls shouted.
"Who did it?! Who is cruel enough to beat up a sensitive girl?!" AppleJack asked angrily.
"I know...not to promise to tell anyone but I'm certain it was Gilda."
"Why am I not surprised? That varmint oughta get whats coming to her!"
Rainbow sighed. "I agree but can we keep it between us only. If Gilda finds out someone knew, she's going to hurt Fluttershy even more."
"We won't let her hurt Fluttershy anymore." Rarity said. "And speaking of her. Where is she?"
"She's still in the nurse's office," Rainbow replied.
"Ummm who exactly is Gilda?" Twilight asked.
"Oh right I forgot you're new here." AppleJack said. "Well Gilda is a no-good bully."
"She's a heartless cunt, Twilight." Rainbow added. "You don't wanna get on her bad side but it seems that's the only side she has."
"She's super violent too!" Pinkie exclaimed with a sad frown. "And she almost cost someone her life by putting bleach in their drink as an April Fools prank! I'm all for pranks but not when someone gets hurt!"
"I'm assuming bleach is like a poison?" Twilight guessed. Being an alicorn from Equestria, she has never heard the term "bleach" before.
"Well it's a poison if you drink it." AppleJack said. "That incident got her suspended for two weeks."
"I still think she should've been expelled," Rainbow said with a bit of anger. "She's lucky that girl survived or her ass would've gotten a far worse punishment. That's not the only thing she's done she also sabotaged someone's science project just because it looked better than hers, and leaked Rarity's diary all over the school to humiliate her during the Spring Fling."
"And I'm pretty sure she doesn't even feel any remorse for it!" Rarity said.
After hearing how cruel and violent Gilda was Twilight shuddered and asked, "What does she look like?"
"If you see a girl with a brown jacket, jeans and short white hair, that's her. I recommend to stay away from her at all cost." AppleJack warned.
"Is she the only one?"
"Well she's the one you need to watch out for the most. I'm sure you already know Sunset. The one who 'rules' this school with an iron fist."
"There's also Garble and Trixie!" Pinkie chimed in.
"They're the stand in leaders of Sunset's Posse," AppleJack explained. "Anyways, what I'm saying is you should definitely avoid Gilda but also watch out for Sunset and Trixie. Maybe Garble to an extent. He doesn't really bother anyone on his own but that doesn't mean he's friendly."
"He's like super mean but not mean if you get what I'm saying," Pinkie tried to explained.
"Umm not really," Twilight said.
"Garble will do cruel things," AppleJack explained. "He will go extreme measures to make you miserable. He'll hurt tons of other students. At the very least though, he doesn't seem to take any joy doing it so he's not as bad as the others, but like I said he's not friendly."
Before Twilight could say something the intercom speaker announced through the entire hallways, "Twilight Sparkle, Please come to the Principal's Office Immediately"
*earlier*
Sunset had shown Vice Principal Luna the gym that "Twilight" had trashed. Needless to say, it was a wreck. Fizzy apple cider were spilled all over the floor along with shattered glass from the bottle, streamers were a mess all over, the huge disco ball was on the floor and broken and tables were a wreck and turned upside down.
"What in the world happened here?!" Vice Principal Luna almost shouted.
"I know! I had the same reaction!" Sunset said faking her shock. "After Pinkie Pie worked so hard to make everything so perfect! Why would Twilight Sparkle do something like this?"
Vice Principal Luna looked at her then at the mess. "What makes you think Twilight did it?"
"Because I have proof and if you don't believe me, ask Garble. He saw her trash the gym!"
Garble, Please report to the Principal's Office the loudspeaker announced while I was sitting in my English class. I wonder what happened? I got up from my seat and walked out the classroom. At the principal's office I saw Sunset and Twilight as well as Vice Principal Luna.
"There he is, Vice Principal!" Sunset said pointing at me. "He's the witness who saw Twilight destroy Pinkie's decorations!"
"What?! I did not!" Twilight angrily yelled.
"Don't lie, Twilight! You're just afraid you're going to win Fall Formal Princess so you decide to ruin my chance!"
"I wasn't even at the gym I was in the cafeteria the whole time!"
"Enough!" Vice Principal Luna shouted. She looked at me. "Garble, what did you see?"
"I saw Twilight trash the gym." I said with no hesitation.
"Then it's settled. Twilight you are banned from running for Fall Formal Princess," Vice Principal Luna said sternly. "And you'll be spending the dance in detention. I've seen enough evidence already."
"What no you gotta believe me I didn't do it!" Twilight was on the verge of tears. This couldn't be happening. Why was this happening to her?"
Sunset only laughed. "See, Twilight? This is what you get for trying to sabotage!" She left the office leaving only me and Twilight.
"You may leave now," VP Luna said to me. I left the office and went back to my English class. There was a good 40 minutes of class left which was spent going over literature slides nothing too interesting. After class ended, I started to make a bee line to my car and go home. Twilight spotted me but I ignored her and kept on walking.
"Hey why did you lie?!" Twilight got in front of me so I tried to go around her but she stepped in front of me.
"Move, Twilight. I gotta get home." I said but she got in my way again. "Ugh, what?"
"I said why did you lie?!" She shouted. From the look of her eyes, it seemed like she had been crying. In fact she still was. "Why did you lie saying I trashed the gym?! You know I didn't!"
"I'll tell you later, But I need to leave." I said trying to get away but Twilight kept on pushing.
"No tell me! Why did you throw me under the bus like that?!"
I sigh. I figured I was going to be honest. "Look, Twilight. It's nothing personal...or at least for me it isn't. We could've been great friends in fact. It's just that...I gotta make sure Sunset gets her crown because well...If she doesn't, it's my head she's going to rip off. I hope you understand."
Twilight abruptly turned around and walked away. I could hear her sobs but that didn't matter to me. Actually, a slight sliver of me felt bad but the rest of me thought otherwise. It had to be done. Sunset was the rightful owner of that crown and I wasn't going to take any chances failing her.
"Oh my goodness, what the?!" Was the first words that escaped Rarity's mouth when she saw the gym. It looked like a warzone.
"What in tarnation happened here?!" AppleJack asked in shock. Both girls looked at each other and at the gym. "Who would do such a thing?!"
"The gym...it's ruined!" Rarity gasped.
"We need to tell the Principal now," AppleJack said. They raced to the office but stopped when they saw Twilight on the floor, her arms around her knees. She was sobbing uncontrollably.
"Hey, Darling what's wrong?" Rarity asked.
"I-I got banned from running. Vice Principal Luna said t-that I trashed the gym but I didn't do it!" Twilight cried.
"But that's not true! You were with us all this whole time!" AppleJack said. "Someone is trying to set you up!"
Rainbow Dash came up. "Hey what's wrong, Twilight?"
"Someone framed Twilight for trashing the gym and now she's banned from running," Rarity explained.
"This is obviously Sunset's doing, guys. This is the kind of things she'll do."
"The dance is tomorrow, and I have no way to prove I'm innocent." Twilight said miserably. "I'm done for."
Rarity went over and gave Twilight a hug. "It's going to be alright, ok?"
"Yeah, we'll prove your innocence and we'll make whoever did it pay!" Rainbow added. Fluttershy came in holding an ice pack on one of her bruises. Rainbow saw Fluttershy and rushed towards her. "Fluttershy! Are you ok?"
"I'm o-ok," The timid girl said quietly. "J-just a little shaken up." She noticed how sad Twilight looked and asked what was wrong. AppleJack explained what happened which made her gasp.
"Yeah, it's awful but I'm not surprised Sunset would do this," Rainbow said.
"Is someone talking about me? I must be famous."
All girls turned around to see Sunset behind them with a sinister smile.
"You disgusting bitch!" Rainbow yelled.
"Oh come on, Rainbow. You know I had to do it. That crown is rightfully mine!" Sunset laughed.
"How dare you frame Twilight! You're sick!" Rarity shouted.
"Yeah, whatever. Why do you even care about her? That bitch has been here for only a couple days,"
Everyone was shocked by Sunset's cruel words until Fluttershy took everyone by surprise. She didn't know why but something inside of her clicked. "Be quiet!" She snapped.
Everyone fell silent, including Sunset
"Umm, what?" Sunset began to laugh. "What did you say to me, Flutterslut?"
"I said be quiet!" Fluttershy's voice was rising. It wasn't anything her friends were used to. "You don't talk about Twilight like that! She has been nothing but kind and you're just a selfish brat!" Everyone was shocked but Fluttershy was not done. "All you do is treat others horribly and act like you're some queen! You're awful, sick and just a big bully!"
Sunset only laughed. "Guys, get in here!" She shouted. Gilda, Trixie, Hoops, Dumbbell, and Score all entered the gym and Fluttershy's face initially turned white. "Fluttershy, I want you to say the exact same thing again. I dare you."
"Yeah, what did you say about Sunset?" Score asked with a sadistic grin.
"What's wrong, Fluttercunt? cat got your tongue?" Hoops chuckled
"I-I..." Fluttershy began to mumble.
"Speak up! Trixie can't hear you!" Trixie said.
"Come on, Fluttershy tell me again. Please for the love of God tell me how I'm a 'selfish brat'!" Sunset taunted.
"You called Sunset that?" Score angrily snapped at Fluttershy. "You DO NOT call her that ever, do you hear me?!" All of a sudden, Gilda attacked Fluttershy by tackling her to the ground and started to punch her all over her body. The poor girl tried to defend herself but Gilda was proving too strong.
"It was actually kind of cute seeing you try to stand up to me" Sunset laughed cruelly.
"You're a coward, Sunset!" AppleJack snarled.
"How?"
"Isn't it obvious? You can't handle Fluttershy calling you out, so you need all your lapdogs to stand up for you!"
"Hey, guys what's going on?" Pinkie entered the gym. She took a look around and the answer was already there. "oh..."
Trixie snapped her fingers. "Let her up, Gilda," she ordered.
"But she-"
"Did Trixie stutter?" Trixie asked in a condescending tone. Gilda sighed and let Fluttershy go but not before she gave the animal lover a few bruises.
Rainbow Dash ran to Fluttershy's side and gave her a hug"
"I-I thought I could stand up to Sunset!" Fluttershy cried with tears leaking her cheeks.
"Hey, Flutters you did!" Rainbow said. "She's the real coward. She needed five others to get on you."
"You really think so?"
"Of course! That was awesome how you called her out!" Rainbow continued to hug Fluttershy.
"Trixie apologizes. Gilda is quite unhinged at times," Trixie said although she didn't really sound genuinely sorry. Sunset, Trixie and the other bullies left the gym leaving the six girls in disgust and sadness.
Right now, I'm currently alone because both my parents were still at work so I decided to spend the rest of the afternoon watching T.V until they got home.
*Bzzzzz!* my phone ranged
It's Sunset. I wonder what she wants? "Hey, Sunset what's up?"
"Garble I need you to do something for me.
"Yeah? what is it?"
"Kidnap Twilight for me."
I was little shocked by the request. "Umm I think that's a bit unneeded."
"Are you saying you don't care about my crown?!"
"Sunset, I didn't say that. I'm saying it's a bit unnecessary because I already got Twilight framed. She's not able to run so you're competition is already out of the picture."
