//------------------------------// // Equestria vs Equestria // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Kanto Region. Out in the wilds. Afternoon. "Ugh..." Twilight groaned as she was currently laying on the ground. Her eyes had opened up as she was greeted with the sight of a grassy landscape with the blades of grass being blown in the wind. She got up from the ground, immediately looking at the night sky. Right now, everything was calm and silent, far different from all the commotion and chaos that had happened earlier. "What?" Twilight had then noticed that barely of her friends were with her at the moment. The only ones here were her Pokemon along with Togekiss. "What happened?" "Espeon...?" Just like her trainer, Eve and the others were a bit befuddled and dazed. The last thing they all remember was the ship firing a giant magic cannon at them while defending themselves. And before they knew it, a giant light covered them all and now they were here. "Absol..." "Cinccino." "Toge?" "How did we get here...?" Twilight was recalling everything that had happened before. She remembered the cannon breaking through her, Starlight and Audino's protective shields and then that light appeared. She then realized what it could've been. "Oh! Chikorita! Guess that fate changing leaf helped out. But where is everypony else? Did the leaf separate us?" "Esp?" "We need to get moving. They could still be chasing Ash and the staff down." Twilight stood up. "But...where?" "Sol!" Absol ran ahead as he told everyone to follow him. Absol has been living in the wild for years by himself. If anyone can get them somewhere quicker, it was most definitely him. Everyone followed Absol's lead, putting in faith that he could lead them to Fluttershy and everyone else. Wherever they may be. Actually, speaking of Fluttershy, since it was her Chikorita that had changed fate itself and saved their lives, a massive drawback had been made. The leaf on her head. Most of it was gone. Now all that remained was the stem. This was highly detrimental to Chikorita's health as her leaf was of great importance. "C-Chiko..." The Leaf Pokemon breathed in and out with a majority of her leaf gone. Fluttershy held Chikorita in her hooves while Audino was trying to ease the pain with Heal Pulse. "There, there. It's okay." Fluttershy spoke trying to soothe Chikorita's pain. "When the sun comes up, it'll grow back. It's summer so it's brighter than ever. Just hang in there, okay?" "Chikori..." "Just have to find everyone and Ash." Fluttershy looked around. "But where could they be?" In truth, Chikorita's leaf had changed fate so much everyone had been split up into groups instead of sticking onto one spot. Chikorita didn't really have any full control over her fate-changing leaf, so results may vary. Right now, everyone had been separated across the wilds. Unsure of each other's location. But they all kept a good lookout in the sky, searching for the giant ship that was pursuing Ash. And of course, the staff of Sir Aaron. Manehattan. Nightfall. Elsewhere, the invasion was in full swing. A multitude of ships covered the sky as they flew over the land of Equestria. And Manehattan, a city as big as it is, was no exception. Already, the soldiers of Canterlot had ordered many of the residents to take shelter during the sudden invasion for their own safety while they handle the rest here. The ships had already sent troops from their hatches along with those robotic creations. From ground units to aerial ones. That titanic robotic battle station had also come out, multiple of them this time. They flooded Manehattan as magic rays were already being shot from above, raining down on the city. "Alright! Get ready, Probopass!" One troop looked at a group of Probopass. Mainly 5 of them that were owned by the Canterlot soldiers. They all owned Probopass for one reason. It's amazing magnetism abilities. If anything, these robots and anything metal were perfect for Probopass to work its magic. "Probo!" All 5o f them nodded in understanding. The soldiers at the front were already starting to fend off the approaching robotic rhino vehicles along with the armoured ponies. They had their Pokemon, mainly Golurk, by their side. "Gol!" The Golurk held their arms out, forming a large Golurk wall as they stood in front of the approaching rhino vehicles. The ponies controlling the vehicles put the machine into full ramming speed as the metal horn on the top started spinning around like a drill. When coming into contact, the Golurk had their hands met with the ramming rhino-based vehicles, causing a loud and hard impact. The spinning drills spun onto the arms of Golurk, moving at rapid speeds. "Golurk!" All of the Golurk cried out as the spinning drills in their arms clearly did hurt. It wasn't a pleasant feeling but they had to endure it. And thanks to their amazing strength, they could. Once they had the vehicles in front of them, each of the Golurk used their amazing strength to grab the horn drills on the vehicle, ripping them out. After ripping them out, the Golurk then used the drill for themselves. Their objective was to stab it through the rhino-like vehicles and destroy them. Seeing this, the troops inside the vehicles immediately jumped out to avoid being hit by the drill. The Golurk each smashed the drills through the vehicles, causing them to blow up. The Golurk could successfully handle the rhino vehicles in a simple and yet effective way. But the rest was a bit harder than that. The regular Canterlot soldiers were having an up-close scuffle with the futuristic and alternate universe Canterlot soldiers. The futuristic soldiers had an advantage due to their developed technology. Those electrical staffs were already a major problem as many of the regular Canterlot soldiers were forced back by the electric shock and even had their armour affected. Their spears weren't even that good of a match against these metal ones, unfortunately. However, what they lacked in the arsenal category, they made up for via the Pokemon. More superficially, the Probopass and to an extent the Golurk. The Empress' soldiers pushed the regular Canterlot soldiers back with their superior arsenal and force, even attacking from above. Those aerial robots with large claws on their sides could also fire rays from their eyes, attacking any of the soldiers from above and even the ones that could fly. "Okay! That's close enough! Now, Probopass! Do it!" A soldier commanded all of the Probopass. "Probopass!" At the same time, all of the Compass Pokemon had used their three units could mini-noses, summoning the potent magnetic force. With just one usage of it from all five of them, the Probopass were able to manipulate all of the nearby robots and armour that belonged to the Empress' soldiers. "W-What is this?!" The futuristic soldiers noticed that something was off. They couldn't move. The Probopass' were holding them all in one spot by just their magnetism abilities. Their armour was rattling aggressively as even the aerial robots had been stopped dead in their tracks. The magnetism of a Probopass is so great that nearby electrical appliances become unusable. And the same can be said for the technology belonging to the Empress' side. "We'll take those thank you very much." One of the Canterlot soldiers said before taking the electric staff that belonged to the Empress' soldiers. Soon, all of the Canterlot troops snatched the staffs away, utilizing them instead of their spears. With them having their opposing forces' weapons, they stood an even better chance now. They used their own weapons, hitting the troops and their metal armour while Probopass' magnetism held them there. But, the aerial robots still had one advantage. Even if they couldn't move, they could still fire rays from their robotic eyes either way. "Probopass! Use Gravity!" "Pro!" One of the Probopass ceased the magnetism while the rest of its fellow Probopass kept using their own magnetism. The single Probopass had then looked up, summoning a field of gravity that forced the aerial robots down, bringing them to a lower level. Not only that, but the hard gravity even pressed on their metal exterior. Then, for another greater advantage, the other troops had commanded their Golurk to go on the offensive with some Pokemon moves. "Golurk! Hammer Arm!" "Dynamic Punch!" "Shadow Punch!" "Lurk!" Many commands were given to each of the Golurk as they approached the troops, using their heavy fists to smash onto their armour, shattering them. They even smashed their fists onto the robots, including the ones in the air that were forced back down thanks to Probopass. Even though the Golurk could technically fly by themselves via the rockets they possess on the lower parts of their artificial bodies. And it also helped that Golurk's natural ability was Iron Fist so any fist-related moves would be satisfying when they land. Their armour were like twigs to the Golurk as many of the troops had lost their defences with ease. The robots tried to shoot the Golurk with their eye rays but it was too late for them. The Golurk didn't even need to use fist-based moves for the robots. They could just stomp on them and that was the end of that. Very soon, all of the troops down here had been defeated thanks to the efforts of Probopass and the Golurk. But it wasn't over yet. "Good! Now let's focus on getting those ships!" One of the Canterlot soldiers said, pointing his hoof at the multitude of ships in the air that were still sending out troops. "Get the Probopass in a good range, okay! We can probably stop all of those ships too!" But before they could advance towards the ships for a better range, new units from the ships had flown this way. Those units were the Soundgliders. Perhaps the most intimidating aerial foes thanks to their ability to emit high-level soundwaves up to 60 hertz and befuddle practically anyone except themselves thanks to the special helmets they wore. From their gliders, high-frequency soundwaves were being sent out, immediately passing through the ears of their opposing forces. The Canterlot guards and the Probopass immediately started screaming as the guards covered their ears from this horrible sound, getting on the floor. Their armour was even shaking as well, giving them the same feeling that Probopass gave to the Empress' forces. But noticeably, Golurk was unphased by this. "Pr-Probo!" "Nopony said anything about this!" One Canterlot soldier cried out. "L-Look!" Another soldier replied, pointing his hoof over to the side. "The Golurk...! T-They're not affected!" This was because Golurk was an artificial Pokemon. So while organic creatures like ponies and even the Probopass would be affected, Golurk didn't fit that bill. Despite it being able to hear the commands of Pokemon Trainers, the Automaton Pokemon could not only ignore the soundwaves but block them out with their ghost-like capabilities. Intangibility was just one of them. However, there are some exceptions "Oh, right...they're not organic! G-G-Golurk! Hit them down with Shadow Punch!" One guard commanded. "Gol!" The Golurk each swapped out their legs for their signature rocket parts. Once they revealed them, each of the Automaton Pokemon flew into the air, soaring right towards the Soundgliders. "Oh! Oh!" The Soundgliders immediately noticed that the Golurk were approaching them at high speeds. Speeds that they were not expecting. "I yield! I yield!" One of the Soundgliders cried out. "Lurk!" Each of the Golurk used their giant hands to grab the gliders, crushing them into scrap metal with their amazing strength. They even smashed their fists onto them and did other hand movements to break the gliders. This caused the ponies who were using the gliders to start falling from above with their gliders gone. They immediately activated their parachutes for safety as the soundwaves had dwindled. After dealing with all the gliders, the Golurk approached the ships, ready to attack them from below. And alongside them were some pegasi, but mostly Golurk. To attack the ships, the Golurk held their arms out, retracting their hands as only a hole could be seen. Some of the Golurk knew some ranged attacks and they were going to use them to their advantage. "Golurk!" Some of them fired Flash Cannon while others used moves like Shadow Ball. Each came out of the holes in their arms. Some of them even went closer for physical attacks. Flash Cannons and Shadow Balls hit the many ships above the skies of Manehattan, causing the ships and the ponies inside to tremble. Physical moves had also hit, causing some visible dents to form as one of the Golurk's Shadow Punch had gone through the ship with its intangibility, hitting some of the ponies inside and knocking them out. With quick retaliation, the ships used their main cannons to fight back the Golurk. Magic rays came out of them, raining down on each of the Automaton Pokemon. The Golurk looked up to see a bombardment of magic rays raining down on them from multiple angles. Because of this, the Golurk were forced back down as they put their arms out to block the magic rays. The rays had also gone for the troops on the ground, forcing them to take cover, raise their shields or just move back. Buildings in Manehattan had been hit by the rays, obliterating parts of roofs and even going through some of the many buildings in this bustling city. The citizens of Manehattan were all far away from here to avoid any chance of them being injured in this invasion. So far, the invasion itself seemed fairly even. Each side had responses to whatever was thrown their way. And right now, the Empress' side was ready to unleash something that could turn the tides. From the highest ship in the sky, the hatch had opened up as large metal boxes came crashing down. When colliding with the ground, it caused a slight tremor, but nothing too big. However, what was inside the box was a huge threat. When all sides of the box had opened up, out of it, multiple Cyborg Manticores came running out, roaring at their new targets. They immediately pounced on the Golurk and Probopass, pinning each of them to the ground. The manticores most definitely outnumbered them in terms of numbers. "G-Gol!" Each of the Golurk had pure steel robotic monsters on top of them, trying to bite their faces off. However, the Golurk's strength was enough to prevent that from happening. The Golurk had either pushed or grabbed the Cyborg Manticore's forcing them away. Some manticores were chasing down the ponies instead of going for the Pokemon. After the Golurk pushed the manticore back, they helped out the Probopass by fending the manticore off of them via ranged attacks such as Flash Cannon. The manticores snarled as they had been pushed back by the Golurk. Afterwards, they charged towards the Golurk, wildly swinging their hard metal claws at them or even going for another bite with their sharp claws. Thanks to the Golurk saving them, the Probopass could assist in this. Since the Cyborg Manticores were also made out of metal, that made them perfect targets for Probopass' magnetism abilities. When being saved, each of the five Probopass used their abilities to affect the nearby Cyborg Manticores. When the manticores tried to get another swing or bite out at the Golurk, they were immediately stopped in place. After being stopped in place by the heavy magnetism, this gave the Golurk the chance to attack. And each of them were going to unload their heavy hits onto the manticores. But even when being held back, the manticores had a second way of attacking. Their mechanic eye. And the difference between theirs and the other robots with robotic eyes was that the beam that was fired from it was much faster. Out of the manticores robotic eyes, silver beams came flying out. The Golurk had been struck in their upper body by the scorching beams, knocking them on their backs as some of them even hit the three of the Probopass as well, breaking the magnetic hold. The remaining two Probopass decided to then use their magnetism to smash the manticores into each other, at least the ones that they were holding. By smashing them together, damaging their metallic bodies. The Probopass then pushed the manticores back, getting some distance between them. After that, the ships in the sky decided to chime in. By aiming their cannons further down, they granted the manticore and Empress' forces extra aerial support. This time, the magic rays from the cannons had been bumped up with their power increasing. The rays of magic rained down, bombarding the surrounding area of Manehattan. Their destructive power was greater than before as the dome-shaped purple explosions were even larger. The Golurk and some of the troops had been blown away by these magic rays as they were starting to get overwhelmed a bit. One of the Golurk stood in front, using Protect to try and defend its allies A wide green screen of protective energy had formed, taking some of the magic rays that were sent down. But, the ones that missed protect had hit the ground, forming the explosions around Golurk. The Automaton Pokemon's protective screen was beginning to crack from all these constant barrages as the nearby explosions were reaching it. So far, one side was showing more signs of pressure if anything. Manehattan had surprisingly taken less damage than expected. Although, the roofs were certainly a bit of a mess. However, the tides were about to change as the Canterlot soldiers noticed that high in the sky, more ships from the empire were flying this way, ready to assist. But, also arriving here was some extra help. Possibly one of the biggest helps they could receive. Outpacing the ships, Princess Luna had shown up. Alongside Darkrai and Frillish. "Princess Luna!" The soldiers looked up to see the Princess of the Night as the Golurk were currently going against the manticore head to head. "All of you! Get the Probopass ready for what's coming behind me!" She ordered as Darkrai was also seen flying beside her. The Pitch Black Pokemon was firing Dark Pulse from behind, but he wasn't aiming for the ships. He was aiming at something else. "Behind her?" The soldiers said as they understood to get ready with the Probopass. But they were wondering what exactly was coming this way. They found out very soon. From the horizon, just over some of the tall buildings of Manehattan, just like the manticores, another creature from the Everfree Forest had shown itself. The Bugbear. But with some mechanical attachments. Like its fellow Everfree creature the Manticore, in its own world, the empire had transformed it into something unnatural for an already abnormal creature. This time there many of them flying after Luna and Darkrai. Darkrai's Dark Pulse was able to knock some of them away. The Pitch Black Pokemon also used Dark Void to put some of them to sleep, Frillish used Hydro Pump to fry their circuits while Luna used her magic as well. But there was so many of them and they were catching up. "Oh! Probopass! Get ready!" The soldiers instantly saw the Cyborg Bugbears as they turned to the Probopass. Behind them, one of the manticores was about to claw them each, but a Golurk had saved them by grabbing the Cyborg Manticore by its tail, swinging the mechanical creature around and tossing it away. "Frillish!" Frillish became intangible, phasing through a building to juke some bugbears out. Since a few of them were pursuing Frillish, phasing through the building allowed for the Cyborg Bugbear to crash into the buildings, taking damage. A nice trick from Frillish. And as an extra addition, Frillish fired another Hydro Pump from his mouth, blasting it through the walls of the building and hitting the bugbears and frying their circuits too. "Now!" Once the rest of the Cyborg Bugbears got close, one of the troops gave the call for Probopass to use their magnetism. "Bopass!" Each of the 5 Probopass turned their focus towards the bugbears as Luna, Darkrai and Frillish flew by each of them. Once close enough, the bugbears had been caught by Probopass' magnetism, stopping them in place. They then forced the Bugbear all to get closer together. "Now Darkrai! Dark Void! And Frillish, Hydro Pump!" "I got it!" Darkrai ascended into the air, holding his arms out, ready to use another Dark Void. This time, now that all of them were in place and were unable to move, he could put every last one of them to sleep. And when they would be put to sleep, Frillish could override their circuits with a ton of water, essentially making them normal bugbears afterwards. The magic cannons that were still firing rays from above turned their attention towards the Pitch Black Pokemon's group, ready to unload their rays onto them. A conglomerate of magic rays rained down, heading for Darkrai. "Oh!" Luna took notice as she ascended, putting up a wide magic shield around Darkrai and Frillish, protecting them from taking damage. Luna's alicorn magic was certainly a major help in this as the magic rays poured down onto her barrier, proving to be more effective than Golurk's Protect. Luna had given Darkrai and Frillish enough time to fire. An assembly of black orbs came flying out along with a stream of high volume water. The orbs had hit each of the Cyborg Bugbear, placing them to rest and then afterwards, Hydro Pump had hit all of them with Frillish moving his mouth, frying the circuits of every bugbear in front of him. With that, each of them had lost their cyborg functions duo to the water as they were now just average bugbears that were asleep. But this wasn't the last of them. There were more of them out there with even larger numbers. "Excellent." Luna nodded as she faced the sky. "Now all we have to do is deal with those in the sky and Manehattan will be cleared out." "We're aiming to get up there with the Probopass so their magnetism can hold the ships. We just need to have the Golurk carry the Probopass." One troop said to Princess Luna while the magical explosions went off in the distance with both sides still going at it. "Good. Keep doing that. If we keep the Probopass in the sky, their ships will be in perfect range." Luna said as an explosion went off near her, causing the alicorn to flinch. "Darkrai, Frillish and I will also enter one of those ships as well. Hurry. We can at least defeat the ships around the nearby area. My sister and the others are already out there going for the rest." "Gol!" Five Golurk picked up the five Probopass, shifting their lower half into those jet boosters. Afterwards, the Golurk took to the skies, carrying the Probopass with them. Luna, Darkrai and Frillish also ascended into the air, flying next to the Automaton Pokemon as the rest of the Golurk down below dealt with the Cyborg Manticotores alongside the Canterlot troops. The ships and their cannons fired rays down towards Luna and the others that were approaching them to try and shoot them all down. Luna and the others had flown around, evading the incoming shots of magic rays from the ships as hard as they could. And if they couldn't Luna could just put up a magic barrier to shield everyone from the hits. She even managed to reflect the rays, causing them to hit the ships. The rays that had hit the ship made the tremble and that gave Golurk and the rest enough time to attack. Once they were close enough, the Probopass had activated their magnetism. They were able to control almost all of the ships, holding them in place. They were ready to shut down the ship's entire functions with their magnetism, but the ship's cannons reacted quickly, shooting down rays of magic to try and stop them. Darkrai flew in front of the Golurk and Probopass, using Dark Pulse to fight back against the rays. Luna did the same with her magic, protecting the Compass Pokemon. The Probopass then used their magnetism to completely disrupt and disable the electrical devices of the ships, messing with everything inside. Including the cannons. Even though they were powered by magic, they were still connected to something electrical. "Everything's off!" One of the ponies commanding the ship had exclaimed as there was massive panic. And for good reason. All of the ships were starting to fall due to their engines being disrupted. They couldn't stay in the air now. Everypony started running for the escape pods. Unfortunately, those also required electricity for the doors to even open for the pods, therefore making them useless. They all started screaming with panic in their voices. Some even decided to exit the ship via the windows, using their parachutes for safety. Unfortunately, not all of them had parachutes. "Golurk!" However, the rest of the Golurk were here to deal with that. By flying through the air, they used their amazing strength to grab the ships. After catching the ships, each of the Automaton Pokemon descended with their ships in their grasp. Once they reached the ground, they placed the ships down, making the remaining ponies inside jump. The Golurk then used their brute strength to rip open the inner parts of the ship, showing their intimidating stature to the ponies inside. Despite saving them, all of the Empress's forces were in a bad spot. "Golurk!" The Automaton Pokemon let out a chilling howl as the ponies inside, while terrified by the Ground-Ghost-Type, tried fighting back with the arsenal that they had. They tried shocking the Automaton Pokemon but their Ground-Typing essentially made that useless. The Golurk had the indoors of the ships covered, no problem. "This area looks safer now," Luna observed as she had descended. "I'll be moving onto the next immediately. You should move on for extra support everywhere if you can." "Yes, princess!" Some of the troops saluted. "We'll take everything from here!" Luna could depend on the rest of the Canterlot troops to deal with everything else here. She, Darkrai and Frillish could move on to the next area to stop the ships. Since this wasn't a full-on invasion, they could drive them back, giving a pause in all of this. Empress Twilight's world, nightfall. Her throne room. The Empress sat on her throne, waiting to receive reports about how the invasion was going. She waited patiently for all of her plans to fully play out and grant her entire side victory. "Empress!" A guard came running over. "We've just received a report that our forces in Manehattan have been dealt with! It's the Probopass! Their magnetism ended up sabotaging everything!" "Curses!" The Empress stomped her hoof. "Those Probopass are too big of a threat. That magnetic field and everything..." Empress Twilight knew that the Probopass were major threats from the very beginning. Their magnetic field essentially made them perfect counters to a giant majority of ships and technology that the empire possessed. Not only that, but the fact that a few of them can affect so many was already a major problem. This was a problem that the Empress took notice of immediately. However, since all of her arsenals consists of metal and advanced technology, even if she had another year of planning or more, the Probopass would still be able to disrupt it all. Truly a powerful Pokemon despite how goofy it looked. "What should we do, Empress?" A guard asked. "If the Probopass continue to use their magnetism, they could take care of all our ships and creations in no time." "We won't let a group of nose hairs get in our way." The Empress narrowed her eyes. "Focus on capturing as many locations as you can in Equestria. I know how to deal with those Probopass." "Yes, your majesty!" The guards moved out as the invasion continued with new troops being deployed to pass through the gateways and overwhelm the opposing Equestria. Nearby, the ponies that had heard this were the older versions of Fluttershy and the others. Hearing that someone out there was giving the Empress some trouble was delightful to their ears. Even if they were currently being held up by the Empress' magic. But another had heard this. That other was the Celestia from this world who was just a working maid now. All of this information passing through her ears were very hopeful. She had managed to escape the destruction of the ships in space via the escape pods that had barely got out of Pyrestar's spell. But she feared what would happen next if the Empress upped the anty. Kanto Region. Out in the wilds. Nightfall. Out there, Ash had found what he was looking for. After getting some good distance from the ship, he had arrived at a familiar location that he used to be in during his journey with Sir Aaron's Lucario to the Tree of Beginning. "Yes! A Time flower!" Ash picked up the Time flower. "Pikachu!" "Okay. Let's head back, get to the room where Sir Aaron recovered and see what he found out." Ash smiled as he placed the flower in his bag. They had what they needed. Now they could return to Cameran Palace. "Lu!" Lucario's dreads and Aura picked up on something nearby approaching. The staff of Sir Aaron also started reacting to this feeling as well. Ash and the others looked up in the sky, seeing that nearby, just hiding in the cloud, the ship was approaching, searching for Ash and the staff. And they were moving fast. "Uh oh...Time to go!" Ash bolted off with his Pokemon. He wouldn't fly with Dragonite yet. That would just make him visible. He chose to hide and wait for the ship to fly out of their view so that he and his friends could successfully return to Rota. "Dragonite!" Dragonite used Dragon Claw to create a large hole in a mountain, creating a temporary cave that could fit her and the others. "Nice, Dragonite!" Ash praised Dragonite as they all ran inside. And just in time too. The ships had broken through the clouds, arriving near them. Ash and his Pokemon stayed silent, not making a sound as they weren't even facing the ship. The sound of the ship's engines howled throughout the night sky, making it haunting to listen to. "No sign of him still." A pony said to Skyblue Shine. "Hmph. Fine then." Skyblue Shine scoffed. "Send out troops all across the area and find him and that the staff. I'll head out myself to search. If you find anything, call me." "Yes ma'am!" Choosing to get out there herself, the hatch opened with many troops ready to scout the wilds of Kanto. They all descended, either with a ladder, parachutes or other methods. Skyblue Shine simply used her magic to levitate down. Very soon, the wilds of Kanto were covered with troops and other robotic creations that were made to specifically scout. All kept their eyes out for the staff and Ash. "Luca...!" Lucario snarled as he was ready to run out there and attack all of them. "Lucario..." But Ash had calmed him, preventing the Aura Pokemon from rushing forward. Even though it was also in Ash's nature to rush forward, just not in a primal sense. "Pika..." Ash looked to the side, searching for an opening to try and dash off to. The plan to just wait for the ship to leave their field of view wasn't going to work, unfortunately. And even so, it would take a long time for them to stop searching this area. So the plan needed to change. And Ash had an idea he could try. A risky one. He just had to wait until most of them were gone and some were close. As for Skyblue Shine herself, she was further away from Ash than she thought. Her movements led her north, looking around to continue the hunt. The robots of this choice were cylinder-shaped creations. These cylinder-shaped robots had jackhammers on the side of their bodies. These jackhammers were perfect for trembling the ground to reveal anything. And that's exactly what they were doing. The jackhammer robots started hitting the ground to see if they could bring Ash out and reveal the staff anywhere. And they wouldn't stop until they had their target. After around 7 minutes, Skyblue Shine had left the area along with a few others. Ash figured that now was a good time to strike if there ever was one. Lucario's Aura could sense that there less nearby and so could the staff. "Okay. Here goes." Ash took out a Poke Ball, holding it out as he released Gengar inside of the mini-cave. "Gengar!" "Gengar. Hit the ground with Ice Punch, go!" "Gar! Gen...!" The Shadow Pokemon flew forward, sticking its hand out of the cave instead of its full body. With its hand out and gaining a chilling aura, Gengar hit the ground, causing ice to rapidly spread across the ground, creating a flash freeze. Before they knew it, the nearby troops had been caught up in this ice as it was moving faster than they could properly counteract it. Thus, some of them had been frozen by the ice instead of just slipping. Then again, they couldn't slip with metal on them. The jackhammer robots noticed this flash freeze as many of the soldiers were being frozen by the approaching ice. And they certainly couldn't outrun it. Not with the hunk of metal they had on them. The robots had a response to this. They could just use their jackhammers to shatter the approaching ice and they were getting ready to do so. "Now! Aura Sphere, Lucario!" "Ca!" Lucario rushed forward, holding his palms out and already creating a few Aura Spheres. He peered his head to the side before launching the Aura Spheres forward. Each of them had struck the jackhammer robots, blowing them up before they could attack the ice. Thus, the soldiers had been frozen as the ice had reached its limit. But it covered a lot of ground. "Okay! Let's go!" Ash said as he ran out of the mini-cave with his Pokemon. They moved to the side, avoiding the view of the soldier since they could still see even when frozen. The ship was also further away to the point where their field of Ash wasn't close enough. Ash had played his cards properly as he was heading in the direction of Rota. Twilight was still on the move, following Absol's directions. They had been moving for a while, flying and leaping over high mountains and hills, moving through various caves and crossing large river streams. Right now, they were in another cave, walking about, still looking for their friends that they had been separated from. Absol kept a good lookout for any hostile Pokemon or the Empress' forces that may be near. "Nothing yet..." Twilight sighed. She was already worried about the ongoing invasion back at her world. She feared for all of her friends and family as she was unsure what was happening there right now. To make matters worse, the rest of her friends had been split up due to Chikorita changing fate. Wanting to see if they were alright, she took out her Xtransceiver to make sure. The first one Twilight chose to call was actually one of her friends who hadn't been caught by Chikorita's leaf. It was Applejack. She hadn't come along and stayed at Cameran with Rarity to assist. Twilight chose her Trainer number as she received a response. "Twilight!" Applejack spoke. "Applejack! Are you okay over there?!" "Everything's wonderful, darling." Rarity slid over as she and her Pokemon stood on top of a mountain of defeated robots and soldiers. "We've taken care of the whole Cameran Palace issue." "Really?!" "Really. It got a bit heated there but we pulled through." Applejack nodded. "How about you?" "Could be better. Everypony got separated after Chikorita's leaf saved us. We're just trying to gather together again and-" Just as Twilight explained her current status, a second call was coming in. One from Rainbow Dash. "Twilight!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed with her voice bellowing in Twilight, Applejack and Rarity's ears. "Oh, good! You're okay!" "Rainbow Dash. Yeah, we're fine. Chikorita did save us after all." Twilight replied. "And you?" "I got sent somewhere near a large sea. I can't see much in the air with all these clouds." Rainbow Dash was actually in the air currently. "But I see the ship all the way over there. It's really close." "So nopony's found Ash yet, huh? Okay. We'd better hurry though. Turns out the invasion's already started back home." "It has?!" Rarity and the others gasped. "Then why are we here?! We should get going!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "We can't risk the staff being taken away. We need to let it be in a safe place first." Twilight suggested. "Our sisters are heading back home. We need to make sure that nothing happens to them." Applejack said. "I guess so. You can head back and check. The rest of us will stay and help Ash head back to Cameran with the Time Flower. And the staff in one piece." "Where's Ash right now?" Rainbow Dash wondered as she moved her head around, trying to see if she could spot Ash. "Hold on. I'll try and contact him next and-" But before Twilight could do that, from the near entrance of the cave a blast of magic was coming her way. One of a sky-blue colouring. "Sol!" Absol sensed this with his horn as he got in the way, using his horn to reflect the blast. He had saved Twilight and more specifically, the Xtransceiver because it seemed like the blast was heading for it mainly. "Huh?!" Twilight gasped as she turned around. She saw that the blast of magic had hit the cave walls instead thanks to Absol's reflection. Eve, Togekiss and Cinccino all turned around to see who had caused that. And of course, the one with the sky-blue coloured magic beam was obviously made by a sky-blue coloured pony. Skyblue Shine. "Skyblue Shine!" Twilight exclaimed. "Wait? She's near you?!" Rainbow Dash got her face near the screen. "Hm. Might've been the wrong reflex from me actually." Skyblue Shine spoke. "I could actually use that Xtransceiver to call Ash instead. Or just let you lead me to him." "Absol...!" Absol growled. "Hold on, Twilight! I'll be right there! If I can find you!" Rainbow Dash cried out as she hung up. Applejack and Rarity got moving too as they chose to help Twilight out first before heading over to their sisters. Besides, the gateway connecting back to the other world was fairly far away in Rota so there was some time left. Rarity would have Pheromosa's amazing speed do all the travelling, making it easier for them to get to one place or the other in minutes. "In a way, the Empress wants you as well, plus the staff." Skyblue Shine lightly trotted to the sid with Absol's eyes following her. "Taking your magic will just add to her amazing power even more. And from what we've gathered, this world seems to have the most magic possible. A true goldmine for the Empress." "Like I'd let you take it," Twilight replied. "It's not hers. None of it is. And I won't let her take anypony else's magic ever again from any world." "Are you saying you could stop her? Hmph. I mean, you are a younger version of her so I'd say a few years would get you somewhere. But you can't stop her as she is now. Neither can you the invasion happening to your world. Albeit smaller than we wanted it to be, but it's going to help us dominate and take control of this world either way." "I know I can stop her. But not on my own. I have all my friends with me to help out." Twilight stomped her hoof. "We'll stop this invasion for sure!" "Hah! Even if you do, you'll have to worry about the second one!" "The second one?!" Twilight gasped. "The Empress is an amazing planner. Always plans. "Even though it's impossible for her to lose, if she does lose this, there's always the next invasion in store. And the next one. And the next one. And the cycle will repeat itself until this world is conquered. But only one invasion is needed at all times!" "Then...We'll stop all of them." "I beg your pardon?" Skyblue Shine squinted her eyes. "Thanks to my time with Pokemon and everyone who's taught me about it, I've learned that there's no such thing as limited growth. We'll keep growing over time, getting smarter, faster and stronger by every day and all the time. Until we're more than enough to stop whatever comes our way. Even an entire empire. A Pokemon's potential is limitless and I'll make sure that I live up to that as well." "Tch! You think so, hm?! You'll never get the chance to ever develop ever again!" Skyblue Shine immediately used her magic to take out her Poke Ball, sending Aggron out. "Aggron!" "I'll capture you here and now, return the staff and see your whole world become apart of the wonderful Twilight Imperium!" "Fat chance! Eve! Everyone! Get ready!" "Espeon!" As the journey continues. Chapter 450 End.
