This week: my latest COVID exposure and Formula 1
Grrrrrrrrrreetings, friends! It is I, Mystic Mind, once again for my continued review and analysis of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, seeing how the show evolved and changed over the years to become an animation juggernaut, defining the 2010s era of animation. Today, we are tackling the first Slice of Life episode of season 1, being "Ticket Master". No, not the price-gauging concert ticket website, but the fued over who gets to attend the Grand Galloping Gala!
Emily gave the bed a good kick. "STUPID!" she screamed, "WHY DID YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH THAT PORTAL?! NOW..." she heaved, balling her fists. "NOW YOU'RE STUCK, EMI! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW?"
She fell to her knees, sinking a little into the soft bedding. A quiet sob escaped her lips.
I have a new Ponies-on-Earth satire of internet content creation written and ready to go, but I'm going to wait until after the two contests that wrap up this Sunday are out of the New Column.
Also, Australian Grand Prix this weekend. Shall we take bets on precisely how Ferrari and McLaren humiliate themselves?
Yet another example of an episode that sucks ass despite all the signs indicating that it should be a really good one. Hell, the title itself is a reference to one of the all-time best comedy films that came out in the 80s. Unfortunately, while it doesn't exactly fail in being funny, it does fail at being a good story in general. I suppose shouldn't be all that surprised since the writer of the episode also wrote Stare Master before leaving the show. Even though he went on to developing
Yesterday's Mexican Grand Prix was, in a word, lackluster. Ferrari drove like minivans heading to soccer practice, Mercedes bungled their tire strategy, and Max went to hyperspace and stayed there. The only exciting part was Daniel Ricciardo driving like it was 2018.
However,
https://m.Mariachi F1 theme music?!?!?!
It's beautiful. I've listened to it for five hours now.
PEPPERMINT TWIST
This week, I have been posting a few essays inspired by Call of the Cutie. I felt Peppermint Twist deserved her own post.
Call of the Cutie is the only episode where she speaks, and she hardly even appears in later episodes, (except I think as a background pony on rare occasion).
Formula 1 is on their summer break. My thoughts, predictions, and vain hopes for the remaining nine races of the season:
Hiya, lovely peeps!
Most of you probably know that by now: I’m an artist. Well, not in the traditional sense of the word, but I still like to draw - digitally, of course. So I thought, ‘Why not compile all my drawings in one giant art gallery?’
Without further ado, here are all my My Little Pony- and Equestria Girls- related artwork since... since I started drawing. These will be arranged in chronological order, starting with the oldest one, so you can see the evolution.
I've hit my 100 follower mark, but I'm not even CLOSE to finishing the 100 follower special.

Well, I generally don't juggle too many games at once. I usually commit to 2-3 at a time. Any more than that, and someone's getting left in the dust and forgotten for months or more.
So because of a 50% off sale on Origin, I'm only now picking this up:
I can always find an excuse not to do any actual work. Today, it’s power outages.
I have a mobile connection, some battery life, a kerosene lamp, and a backup kerosene lamp, but coding when at any moment power and network might cut out again is way too bothersome. Let’s write up another one.
Let’s write up another one. It’s been so important to the lore, they deliberately put it out of order, after all – at least, Lauren Faust is on record saying just that.
