It Ain't Over Till It's Over [actual leak spoilers!] · 2:19am Oct 9th, 2016
Damn. Damn. Not the most amazing episode, or even the most amazing finale (I'd rank it third overall), but a good episode, bordering on great.

I was hearing that this episode was mostly medicore, so I decided it was best to watch it early and see if that was true. This is currently the last episode that has been released early, but apparently Australia will be getting episodes 12 and 13 later this month. In any case, if you're still waiting on the official U.S. release:
Well, that was pretty dull for the most part. Not actively terrible, but really pretty unexciting; it felt like one of the less involving Season One slice-of-life episodes. Applejack was weirdly portrayed, Spike didn't do anything of note and there's what seems to be a glaring continuity error. Forgettable filler. ★★
Hey, there's five more of these little things, and they all have the same theme. Let's go see what the queegees are up to!
Meh. Really felt like a filler, this one, and I can't help noticing that its writer was Neal Dusedau, whose previous work was on the teleplay for "Princess Spike". It probably doesn't help that Bob Ross isn't a big pop-culture phenomenon in the UK. (I don't think we even got his show on British TV back in the day.) I felt sorry for Twilight, especially as I've been in her position here, and it's not at all enjoyable. I actually felt her friends (and Discord) were being
Time is short (because of UK PonyCon looming), so this will be a short one, and I'll leave the spoilery waffle for Louder Yay in a day or two's time. This was a pretty weird episode, but in the end it was well worth it. It was great to see an Apple Family ep that (mostly) didn't involve Applejack; not that I have anything against AJ, but she's not everything. Big Mac got to talk a whole lot (in a way...) and we got a really interesting look at his character for the first time. There was
Hello, Everybrony!
I’m not going to make excuses for any episodes I missed. Right now, I’m only reviewing the ones that matter to me.
LIKE THIS ONE!
Part 1: Plot
Oh look, another festival. Didn’t Firebrand have Silver Quill make festivals into a drinking game once? I mean seriously, I’m starting to believe that these events are actually nationally funded.
I... I think I'll live... but Crisis is officially departing from canon as of this episode. My gryphons (not griffons) are not going to be rewritten just to fit this whole Griffonstone thing. Sorry. Or "you're welcome," as the case may be.
Anyway, this is my favorite episode so far. At least for this season, it's really hard to compare new episodes with old ones, at least for me. So I'm going to do what I do best and ramble. Fair warning to you.
Pinkie Pie: I'm upset because you're NOT upset!
Twilight: I have seen things you ponies wouldn't believe, Pinkie. Attack zeppelins on fire off the border of the Crystal Empire. I watched mana-beams glitter in the dark near the Tartarus Gate.
Rainbow: *stops crying, staring at Twilight* Tw-Twilight? Wha...
Twilight: All those… moments… will be lost in time...
Pinkie: Uh...
Twilight: Like tears… in… rain.
*entire mane cast staring at her*
Twilight: Time… to die…
Pinkie: MARBLE! You want to wish Big Mac a good Hearth's Warming, don't you?
[Marble nods]
Pinkie: And Big Mac, you want to too, don't you?
Big Mac: Eeyup!
Pinkie: Alright, you crazy kids... [slides on "Careless Whisper" and extracts a jumbo-sized package of condoms from somewhere in her mane]
Pinkie: Hm... [looks up and down over Big Mac and throws the condoms away pulling out a trash bag instead] There we go! Have fun, you two~
[*Applejack pushes the lawn mower over her hat as she tiredly trudges forward*]
[*She turns around, looks down at the tattered ruins of her one defining characteristic besides apples and charming southernisms*]
All around me are familiar faces...
Not much to say on this one. Because it didn't give me much. Instead I'm gonna be a self-indulgent whore. Because I am.
Pinkie: I joined a traveling band, played some shows here and there, got popular, almost made it big until creative differences tore us apart... and THAT'S when I knew I had to get back on with my journey to The Crystal Empire... THE GATEWAY to Yakyakistan! And so, here I am: it was a major adventure that took almost all afternoon. Know what I mean?
(Princess Cadance shuffles through pictures of Pinkie Pie and her band with a look of disdain on her face)
Pinkie: Uh... Princess?
Yes, I'm late with this review, but whatever, let's just get this over with.
Later to the party thanks to morning shift at work, let's get to it!
The most rockin' pony ever returns.
Aka, "Rarity is Getting Old: The Episode"
Haha oh shit it's Wednesday, time to rewatch the episodes. D:
Does anyone read these? :B This one's five pages long.
Aka, "Ship Sinking"
At last, we're getting the long delayed ninth episode in production order, even if it's the nineteenth episode to air this season. I'm not sure why this episode was delayed for so long, but perhaps the writing credits provide the answer. Ed Valentine did return to write the episode, but the story was penned by Meghan McCarthy and Josh Haber. With Meghan busy writing for the upcoming MLP movie next year, and Haber having taken Meghan's place as story editor and show
