Hey everyone, I almost forgot that today's Wednesday. But it's time for Song of the Week. Here's a personal favorite of mine.
Hey everyone, I almost forgot that today's Wednesday. But it's time for Song of the Week. Here's a personal favorite of mine.
God I'm laughting so hard after finding this song on my old phone
I wrote it after my best friend at that time left me alone by changing schools...
You can say the lyrics are really bitter
Here is the roughly translated lyrics:
You knew I was hurt, but chosed the evil path
I walked many miles, just to see you smile...
It will never happen again.
When I am outside, and no one is watching
Wishing on a dream that seems far off
Hoping it will come today
Into the starlit night
Foolish dreamers turn their gaze
Waiting on a shooting star
But
What if that star is not to come
Will their dreams fade to nothing?
When the horizon darkens most
We all need to believe there is hope
Is an angel watching closely over me?
Can there be a guiding light I've yet to see?
I know my heart should guide me but
There's a hole within my soul
What will fill this emptiness inside of me?

Intoxicating: the high of sweet surrender to the fact that you'll inevitably fall

And it's liberating: The allocating of the blame to games beyond our ken, above our pay, over the garden wall
I was watching Darkrai rises and this song was beautiful that it would go great as the theme for A New Beginning, do tell me what you think.
It's an old (probably late 80s or early 90s) humorous song about tourists having a holiday in Malta. Descriptions are exaggerated for humour. And yes, I recognise the place in the photos taken, Marsalforn and its surroundings.
Lyrics:
Malta, we love Malta!
These are the things we'd alter.
Malta, we love Malta,
These are the things we'd alter.
Now you've not been in Malta for very long,
A hidden ancient spell
Like night it's setting in
From a foe inside that I'll know well
Is it I who falls to sin?
I can't have daytime
I can't have night
Please save me Twilight
I have the tune, but not all the words of all the verses. (Though I do have the whole chorus. Just the chorus, but... that's a start!)
Here's what I have so far:
Take Me to the End, by Jaydove
(Only the chorus so far...)
Take me to the end of days and you will see
That I've been waiting for you all our lives
And take me to the end of fate and destiny
Where I can see your light that still survives
What do you think? Should I finish it?
Greetings, everyone! Thank you to everyone who sent some birthday greetings and wishes my way. I very much appreciated them! I tried to reply to them all, but I apologize if I forgot anyone.
Hey everyone, it's time for Song of the Week. Time to dance.
I was starting to believe that we would never get this far!
Yep. That's right. This Fruit Loop here writes songs! And poems! And stories, but you already knew that. Don't be fooled by the name or the fact that I listen to a lot of rock music! My genre of choice is pretty spread out. So, what song to use... Maybe that dumb old love song I wrote. For a long time, my favorite song on love was by Ne-Yo, but then I watched Rio 2 and heard What is Love by Janelle Monae. Really hit me. So I wrote a song using a similar rhythm. It came out

Hey everyone, it's time for Song of the Week. Slap Stick
This shining city built of gold, a far cry from innocence,
There's more than meets the eye round here, look to the waters of the deep.
A city of evil.
There sat a seven-headed beast, ten horns raised from his head.
Symbolic woman sits on his throne, but hatred strips her and leaves her naked.
The Beast and the Harlot.
She's a dwelling place for demons.
She's a cage for every unclean spirit,
Every filthy bird and makes us drink
