It's the optimistic part of me. I like when two people worm their way into each other's hearts and push past all the crap, hurt, and ugliness in the world around them to stay together and build something truly special. It's really cool watching the progression from strangers, to acquaintances, to friends, to family.

I am cutting it close with the word count on my Sunset Shipping contest entry - I finally uploaded the first four chapters to Fimfiction, and they come out at 8,331 words! That leaves a mere 1,669 words left for the final (and incredibly necessary!) part if I don't wanna go over the word count.

This is gonna be tricky. I expect some painful trimming down in my future

I think RaraRara would be cute, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a conflict to drive their story. They're the kind of couple where their biggest problem would probably be that thier demanding, mostly unrelated careers would keep them from spending time together. Which is a thing, but not a very exciting thing. Unless

I think my next thing will be a FlutterDash story, and since I write them both as kind of self-destructive, finding conflict in that should be a breeze.

I gotta say I really love Thunderlane x Cloudchaser and Soarin x Spitfire. Those two shippings are the only shippings I really support in MLP, especially Thunderlane x Cloudchaser. Unfortunately, these character are all background characters, so there aren't exactly a lot of fanfics on these couples. Quite a shame.

Sometimes, when I'm bored, I like to read Big Mac x (female character) fanfics, since Big Mac is such a versatile shipping character.

Seriously, I have no idea. I know, of course, that Soarin' and Applejack create my favorite pairing of SoarinJack and the first my little pony fanfic that I ever read was part of a AppleDash series. I know the name of many more obscure shippings as well, such as TwiFire, RariDoo and LunaMac, but I don't know the name of one of the most unchallenged* ships our fandom has to offer! It's like not knowing that Rainbow Dash is the victim in Cupcakes!
