I just got done binging the new Netflix She-Ra show. It's awesome.
Everyone should watch it.
... SheTra? Is that the ship name? CatDora? One of them probably.
Get on it nerds.

"It's only a cartoon, don't take it so seriously!"
It's a comment you often hear, whenever anyone points out that the writers of a series such as My Little Pony have done a terrible job. That they have voided previous canon, or turned a previously heartfelt series into a wacky 40's era Looney Tunes romp, that, ultimately, they have broken the tone and world of the story universe. "It's only a cartoon".
Fucking finally!! This is something that we've been waiting for! Seriously, Christina Miller is such an idiot for not doing this during her TTG-biased presidency.
The 2010s had an explosion of animation for good and bad, but more so towards the better side then past decades. Today I'm going to countdown, my top 10 cartoons from the 2010s. Two rules, one is that it has been running through the 2010s, a cartoon that began in the late 00s counts as long as it concluded in some fashion in the 2010s. Secondly, the cartoon must have ended in some way, either by its own merits or canceled no later than 2020. So you won't be seeing the likes of Ducktales (2017)

(The first episode...thank small mercies for YouTube Kids)
At this point I'm just counting the days, doesn't mean I don't still fear it tho.
I guess we may never know the fate of CN I heard nothing, but all I see is yes and no of its existence, but most is disheartening. So I don't know.
39 days are left, I wonder...If it even happens at all..
You know those times when you spend hours just wandering around Youtube, from link to link, Suggestion to Suggestion, hoping to stumble across something good? And then there's that moment when you stumble across that gem -- a diamond among pearls -- shining brightly in the dark?
That's this animation for me tonight. Bed time now. I leave you with this. Enjoy.
I binge-watched the first 10 episodes yesterday and holy cow, that was one of the most intriguing cartoons I've ever watched. It has a lot of dark and emotional moments as it deals mostly with trying to accept change, self-reflection, coping with loss, and the stages of grief.
I'm now up to date with Steven Universe, shorts and all. And yeah, I like it a good deal and am pretty impatient for the next episode to come out. As a PG-rated show, it has more space to explore mature themes, and it's fair to say that some of the best (hello, "Keeping It Together") pack a tremendous emotional punch. The gradually unfolding backstory is fascinating, too, and SU has that crucial "heart" that's what really keeps me watching. For what it's worth, my favourite
Since Danger Mouse has annoyingly decided to have a hiatus after a mere 15 episodes, I've finally given in to the people who have been pestering me to watch Steven Universe for ages. So, well, I started watching Steven Universe. I've just finished the first (long) season, which is to say that I'm up to "Jail Break". I suppose the very thought that I've got this far tells you something -- but here are some thoughts anyway:
10). Zsasz (Batman franchise)
Boring
9). Fred (Scooby-Doo franchise)
Bland
8). General Grievous (Star Wars franchise excluding 2003 cartoon)
Incompetent
7). Cosmo (The Fairy Oddparents)
I should not have to refer to myself officially as "an oldster," but considering the average age of the fandom I suppose I qualify.
So, before some of you out there were born, there was another well-written, well-animated cartoon out there... though far less pastel-equine oriented.
