If you've been here long enough, you'll know of my How to Catch Series. In said series, I use an OC named Dom the Human and Rainbow Dash. Together, they prank and 'catch' their friends, either literally or in the sense they catch them so off guard their brains short circuit...figuratively speaking.

I just rewatched "Look Before You Sleep." In this episode, a thunderstorm forces Applejack and Rarity to sleep over at Twilight's treebrary.
Twilight is so excited to have her very first slumber party that she follows a sleepover itinerary from one of her books to optimize her experience.

So where has summer gone, huh? I haven't been writing as much as I'd like, though apparently Bicyclette is doing a Sunset/Sci-Twi shipping contest, which I ... might actually look into? As that sort of thing is entirely within my wheelhouse. Maybe not as much as, say, a Rarijack contest or a Flash Sentry contest, but hey.
IN WHICH SHIPPING IS DISCUSSED (hooray?)
Okay, so this is, like, the third time I've tried to write this blogpost. In the false starts, I tried to rant about anime but couldn't come up with anything coherent. So instead, I realized there was something I forgot to put in my Lows & Highs author notes. It's about shipping, or rather the lack thereof. Follow me past the jump!
A little while back, I noticed an informal little contest being held by a Viking named Erik, who was having a wee bit of trouble finding a personalized Coke bottle.
As luck would have it, I happened upon the Coke bottle in question mere hours later and won myself a free fic. By our powers combined, we bring you a short story of two white-coated ponies, one wingy and one horny:

Rainbow Dash: I was asleep! I was having this totally awesome dream! You were in it.... and Spitfire... and Fleetfoot... and Rarity...
[Wonderbolts exchange nervous glances]
Rainbow: And Windrider.. and Celestia... and Luna... and Sweetie Belle...
Soarin': Uh...
Rainbow: [drools slightly] I-I'm gonna go use the bathroom for a few hours...
One day Rainbow was working at Sugarcube Corner. Her dignity all but died when her friends Rarity and Twilight from crystal Prep came in and saw her wearing a maid outfit uniform.
"Oh , Darling you look absolutely marvelous!" Rarity squeed looking the athletic girl over.
"It's suits you Rainbow, although I think, Sunny would look better." Twilight said.
"Har, har, can I take you order?" Rainbow asked flatly taking out a notepad.
At one time, I made my living designing games, so I have a professional interest in the games that writers use in stories. Unfortunately, most games that writers make up for stories are poor games. Quidditch, in the Harry Potter series, is among the most glaring examples. The Golden Snitch makes the rest of the game irrelevant.
Originally, the chapter where Rarity became a dragon was going to be a non-canon post. Something to show what might have happened if Diamond Dog hadn't suddenly pulled ahead.
I got an idea, though, on how to make it canon. I just rewrote a few sections of it.

Is anyone there? It has been suggested to me that I should start a blog. Biographical Log? Bi-Monthly Log? Brohoof Log? No matter, here it is. Let's see, what should I talk about?
Is it just me or are they focusing more on Rarity now? I mean, since the season's return, every episode featured Rarity in a leading role. Sure, Dash was a big part last week and A.J. this week, but Rarity has been right there with them including being the soul focus when the season returned. Seriously, we've hardly seen the others since the return. Did they cut back on budgets or something? I don't mind seeing episodes where they focus on one or two of the main six, but you can space it out a
Been a while and finally thought to give an update. Sadly, I wasnt able to get my planned summer stories far enough along to post as a bunch of things have been going on IRL that have tied me up. Until I'm settled I don't anticipate coming out with anything but hopefully IRL concerns will be done in a month or so.
I told yall I would be doing this one and I meant it!
That's right, I've just finished making a new chapter and it'll be about a subject that I rarely see being used on this site but that it'll be prevalent on the story "The Fractured Unity": Journalism. Enjoy.
