So, I guess I got around to reading the Fiendship is Magic comics, and this is my...review? Opinion? I guess both, on the 3rd issue with the Dazzlings. Enjoy!
The DAZZLINGS! Yay! :D
P.S. It took me ages to download this. And then I had to download something else.
Fck it. We're doing this the youtube way! Okay!
Adagio: "Ah, Trottingham was so tasty!"
Here we go. The Siege of the Crystal Empire. The first major multi-part story since Reflections, which promises the return of King Sombra and plot elements from Fiendship is Magic #1. With Jeremy Whitley riding high after Friends Forever #20 and the mentioned Fiendship is Magic #1, I have high expectations as I'm sure many do. So, let's not waste any more time and dig in.
So, the first month of DC's new attempt to not screw things over has come and gone. DC Rebirth, announced as the grand return to form for the editorial with new stories and a new overall style. All of this to give DC not just a sale boost, but also to go back into the stories and characters that make DC iconic. Let's have some history down first.
Shining Armor and Prince Blueblood. Not a pairing I'd have ever thought of, but why not? It makes sense in a lot of ways, and we haven't seen Blueblood in any capacity outside small cameos since Season 1. I know he's almost universally despised, but perhaps this comic can win him some fans.
Pinkie and Granny Smith? There's a few ways this could go. I adore Pinkie, because I personally relate to her. I like making people happy and I don't like holding grudges. I'm no saint, I've said bad things about people and done some bad things, but overall I don't like negativity and unhappiness. I think Pinkie's vision of ponies making each other smile is beautiful. Granny Smith... eh. No opinion. Christina Rice wrote this issue? Oh boy...
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. My OTP. Oh come on, it's so obvious! Lyra and Bon Bon was just obvious trolling, but the writers have been friendshipping RD and Flutters since Day 1. How can this comic go wrong? Well, getting Christina Rice, writer behind Main Series 30-31 and the Tirek issue, is a good start. Jay Fosgitt as artist, drawing ponies with necks like hourglasses, is another. Getting a sinking feeling here...
Time to get Pinked. It'll be fabulous.
Today I'll be reviewing Friendship is Magic #51-52...
Oh bother. It's Trauncles Comics.
What's this? A wild story arc appeared!
As promised, here is the first response for Wish World. Feel free to make your own wishes for characters in MLP, and you might get something made for it as well.
You know how people always complain that Sunset Shimmer doesn't get wings when she ponies up? It turns out, in the official novelization of Rainbow Rocks (I never bother with those, mostly because they're written really young), she does. I'm not sure if that makes things better or worse. :B
This is an awesome story... it's not finished yet.
Shortly after publishing Discord Writes a Novel, a user named Diamond06mlp contacted me and said that he wanted to make a comic adaptation of my story.
The first page was completed today...I don't know about you, but I'm really excited to see what's next! :)
I don’t blog so I don’t know if anyone will even see this. But this caught me by such surprise I wanted to say something.
I know there’s a comic but that surprised me.
But you can see the comic here anyway:)
I'm really tired (work is hectic which is why you haven't seen much of me) so I won't be writing a step by step account of all the things I liked about the comic (plenty of funny moments) except to say the most touching part of this comic for me was it's pretty obvious Discord sees Fluttershy and the CMCs as some kind of surrogate family.
"I feel sorry for them. They care about me."
