IN WHICH I THINK I'VE GOT IT MAYBE
Hey! It's after 5am (CDT), and I'm still awake, writing a blogpost! What the hell is wrong with me? If you would be so kind as to please follow me past the jump, I shall explain.
Well, folks... I'm calling the latest and craziest TLaTU chapter a success. Three new likes, and TLaTU part 37 was certainly a popular chapter by read count. It's been very well-received thus far--doubly so for it being the wildest thing I've written yet! I have to admit I had some trepidation about how well it would go over, but it turned out I needn't have worried. I was also pleasantly surprised by how eager folks seemed for the ending, even after everything that had already come. I knew
As most of you may already know I have been writing an origin on Night Fright. Well, now it is finished. but I want someponies to preread this before I post. I'm planning on posting the story next Tuesday, March 21st. However, if I get some prereaders to look through it, I will post it much sooner, possibly on Saturday, March 18th.

August comes, and as promised a couple months ago, I've been working on my anthro novel, though I've found the going much slower and harder than I would like. I'm stuck at one place in particular right now that's giving me fits. I'm finding it hard, unfortunately, to slip back into the mindset that writing this kind of anthro fiction requires and re-immerse myself in this world I created several years ago. I can only hope that will
I hope you guys had a decent one this year. (It was pretty much just another Wednesday for myself, which honestly suits me just fine.)
I didn't really have any candy to give to any passerby trick-or-treaters, so we ended up just leaving a note by our door about the lack of sweets, supplemented with this little drawing of my own creation:
A true masterpiece, is it not?
An enormous milestone that the release of the companion story, Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night helped it reach. So a huge thank-you to all readers, both old and new! This is easily my most successful story, and one I immensely enjoyed writing. Yes, I have promised additional bonus features and a Shadowbolt-centered sequel, and be assured they are not forgotten. It seems unlikely I can get to the latter this year, but I will aim for late winter or spring of next.
Well, you know that story that I posted on October 29th 2015 anyway part two/chapter one will come out either Monday or Tuesday. Since Nightmare Night is tomorrow I'm going to be busy with well hanging with friends, trick-o-treating, and being Fabulous. But during that time I will write Chapter One and two which in chapter two's case won't be released until Tuesday or Wednesday. Also I love all the critical feedback I got on the prologue of my story also I love that many people have already
And Happy Halloween too!
HOOOOO BOY am I excited! I've finished the final chapter of AAP: The Misery Tree, and after I get back to work, I plan on binging on ALOT of horror and macabre. Watch a little Beetlejuice here, play a little Resident Evil HD there, maybe play some Nightmare Creatures and watch Army of Darkness, before capping it off with Garfield's Halloween Adventure for a laugh.
May your day be filled with spooks and excitement too, dear readers!
After three months working more or less exclusively on it, Nightmare Night goes on a brief hiatus. Here's the full status on it plus future plans:
I kept my promise to get two more Temptations & Transformations side story chapters posted this past week for seven total. With more content comes more likes; I picked up four new upvotes there over the past couple days.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
Last week's bullshit is shat. Enjoy.
This time around... hooboy. Our "whatever" slot this month honors the inclusion of Nostalgia Bear in the sacred Nintendo Fisticuffs Extravaganza. We celebrate this joyous occasion by soiling it with a Doctor Who crossover.
This is my elevator pitch for The White Duchess. Consider it a bit of insight into what exactly I’m planning to be publishing here as my next big project. It will be a trilogy, and it’s going to be a very long time before I get to the end with it, so I’m dropping this today as the first of (what I hope to be) many sneak peeks. You can read a bit of a prelude to this in a previous
It’s been fun, but also an ordeal at times to write, folks. I’m pleased to say that it’s not only finished, but that the first prereader review is already in and quite positive—thanks, AJ_Aficionado! I’ll be aiming for a Thursday night release; expect it to be around 11k words.
The new Nightmare Night chapter is now well over 14k words and climbing as it's still not finished. I have one more sequence and transition to complete, which will likely leave this up over 16k words by the time all editing passes/prereads are done. That's on the verge of needing to be split up, but I'll try to avoid that, as I'd honestly prefer this epic battle of friends-turned-foes to be contained within a single chapter.
There’s good news and bad news. The good news is you’re going to be getting another 12k word entry soon. The bad news is I elected to break it up again, to get it out before I go on vacation. So there will be one final trailing part to this now not-so-mini story arc, whose contents will be obvious once you read the end of the new chapter.
I’ll be going on vacation there in two days. And though I hoped to maybe finish a chapter of Feathered Hearts—which currently sits at around 14.7k words and is likely to be broken up again for the length it’s reaching—I’m not going to be able to. Too much on my plate, and I need to be able to relax for a bit.
