It was probably 8th grade when I last wrote a story, and that was 12 years ago. But I’ve been reading Admiral Biscuit’s stories and when he dropped that challenge it kind of stuck with me. I’m not a very creative person and writing is hard, but the idea of imagining a pony working at your job is a whole lot simpler than creating a whole world and even takes half of the work out of creating a plot. It still took me almost a month to finish this chapter and was difficult enough
AlwaysDressesInStyle is at it again, with another not-a-contest entry!
Well, that's the third competition I'm missing in a row, unfortunately. I can't finish my Sparity fic in time for Pia's contest.
Teaching with ME/CFS is enough of a drain, but writing dramatic personal stories is too much stress at the same time. Plus, I've had a neck muscle pulled for about a week now.
Hello, new friend!
This means I have several projects now currently floating in midair:
The great Friendship is Optimal writeoff contest has come to a conclusion. As it turns out, there were actually NO WINNERS CHOSEN, and therefore NO PRIZES.
I'd put a "Contest!" in the blog title, but I'm not running this one. I'm just helping judge it. Pick your favorite classic cartoon and throw them into ponies, because it's time to ask a question that's been echoing about the site practically from the day it went up: Who Crossed Over My Little Pony?
Hey hey folks. I have another two stories from two separate events I participated in; one is from the RBAIA contest and the other is from Krazy's Warm and Fuzzies event, so there should be a little variety in them even if they're both shippy. Hopefully one might take your fancy to read.
With luck, I'll have a new story posted by the end of the week-end with regards to the Cozy Glow contest, so stay tuned for that. It's about halfway finished and then will need a quick coat of editing.
We've got a brand new, juicy cyberpunk story contest up now, this time prepping you all for the Nighmare Night/Halloween spirit.
Go check out the contest and it's rules: here.
I'm looking forward to seeing some spooky, Halloween themed cyberpunk based stories using our favorite ponies.

Deadline is coming up for the Cadance is a Terrible Mom competition. If you have a submission in the works, now is the time to get it done before we close submissions. You have till the twenty-fifth; Best of luck to all participants!
The MOFA is a competition for very short stories of 150 or fewer words each.
In February, the contest's theme was "Bureaucracy." As usual, I had some difficulty picking out a winner.
Story review #10: No Two Sunsets Are Alike —by ReedHoarse
Character’s:
Sunset Shimmer (Pony): Loved the way she thinks her human counterpoint is hotter and grapples with the idea that she’s attracted to herself. And wonders why her friends think she would be attracted to herself.
But most of all she is pretty close to her canon self and because of that she is my favorite character in the story.
Bicyclette's Science Fiction contest is ending today. As most of my readers know, it's right up my alley... but my energy level isn't enough for two contests, even while off work.
I should be in the G5 competition which ends on Sunday, however. I really like my story and I hope you will too!
This month, it's truer than ever that the MOFA is just an opinion someone had while they were trying to pick a favorite story out of someone else's contest's entries!
I had a lot of trouble picking one favorite. I also had trouble deciding whether I should judge primarily on the basis of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, or on other criteria.
Hey, everybody! In case you haven't noticed yet, my first official entry for the Furry Foray Festival Contest is up and ready to read, both on here and on my FurAffinity page. Earlier this week, I held a poll to determine which of Twilight's friends should be paired with Loona from Helluva Boss; and as of right now, the winner has not only been chosen, but has the
Who doesn't love ponies playing video games?
Akouma has written what is the shortest fic in the Not-A-Contest to date . . .
So, since As Time Goes By won the SunsetxEqg villain competition I got to choose the next theme. I didn't need long, having had an idea for a long while.
