It’s con time again!
I’m at Saint Louis Crystal Fair the next couple of days (no panels or anything, just here to have fun).
My badge will say CategoricalGrant but I’ll also be in a really poorly-made Celestia ponysuit I made- feel free to say hi and give poor sun horse a hug!
So, a new chapter is about to go live of my story, Broken Crystal! It's been written for a while, truthfully, but I wanted to finish the next, spookier chapter, before I published this current one... and sadly the next chapter isn't really done yet, but it's close!
Today's story is a blast from the past.
The Quiescence of the Crystal Empire

Before Twilight and her friends saved the Crystal Empire, its ruler had to watch it die. Long before she meets Shining Armor and Twilight, Cadence walks through her home for the last time.
Hey, if you didn’t see, I updated The Last Unicorn Princess last week. 
It’s a shorter chapter, but I’m pretty proud of it. 
There is a routine I plotted out that was a lot of fun to write. 
Emily and Aero have finally reached the Crystal Empire in their quest to find and destroy Starlight's old time-travel spell. Things have changed quite a bit, however, in the century or so since Starlight herself passed away.
I enjoy listening to Pony music so much I have an iPod shuffle devoted to it: My PonyPod. I especially like the songs I can sing along to, so I end up reviewing official songs a lot. Occasionally, ‘the Failure Song’ from season 3’s Crystal Empire comes on, and I enjoying singing along to this little duet between Twilight & Spike. But one line just bothers me a lot:

So, a little while ago, my good pal and illustrator Colby Green went to Crystal Mountain Ponycon in Salt Lake City. It made sense, him being a native of the great acceptable extant state of Utah and all. He had a great time, but in a move that I think was unbelievably cool... he took some of the pictures of Turing Test from The Iron Horse and got other people to draw her!

Well, I honestly don't know a whole lot about this fanfic since its once again blind... and the description is only two lines.
What little we know from the description is that its set in the Northern Wasteland and something about a dead Stable... yeah, that's literally all we know about it.

You know maybe I should stop doing blind reviews, I tend to make mistakes in retrospect, oh well.
A little something I cobbled together this evening by way of explanation of a certain plot point in The Crystal Empire. Note that I don't feel that this is the ONLY way this could have gone down; she might have also simply decided that failing someone for, you know, saving an entire kingdom would be a rather poor lesson to give her student, and that the rest were just there as backup.
But this is funnier.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you know the chapter that I am writing will be an action chapter consisting Shining Armor and Cadance's wedding. So it will be kind of long to write. I'll have it done sometime in seven days though, I promise.
Ok so I know that it's been an eternity since I've been on here and I'm really really sorry for those who have been waiting for more chapters. I 've been really busy as of late and I was kinda figuring out some changes in my life. But I'll try to be more consistent in doing stories.
Now with that out of the way, there's an update on Snow Crystal's past.
For those of you who've read my Secret of the Snow blog post, then you'll see some tweaks I'll be mentioning here and filling some gaps.
