Before going further I'm going say this, historically December 25 was the Roman holiday known as the Day of Saturnalia, which was there celebration of the "birth of Saturn." Let that sink in for a moment as we go forward. There's a lot of old traditions that the olden time Christians appropriated as a means of bringing in other cultures to the faith, some of those old traditions are even practiced in some form today, I'll share those more with anyone interested.
