This one will be a pretty brief communique.
Let me start by reassuring you that A Bug on a Stick is neither on hiatus nor canceled.
That said, the next couple of chapters are still in the works and may take a while. The reasons for that are that I intend to complete the arc before publishing it and that I'm stressed out beyond belief for a series of vexations related to the rest of my life.
So, just heads up, the new chapter of A Bug on a Stick will be delayed a bit further. I'm still working on it, but slowly, and am fighting with it at the moment because it seems to be kind of rebellious and I'm having problems disciplining it. I'm not sure if it is some form of a block or simply the lack of time and of a calm environment to write, but I think I will overcome whatever it is in time and deliver you something
Brief heads-up about why I'm kinda late.
Short version: I'm still alive and kicking, but I'm not sure Chapter 17 of A Bug on a Stickwill be ready before the new year.
In the last chapter of A Bug on a Stick (chapter 15) there was a lot of music. Or, better said, music played an important role, and I tried to convey the feeling and the effect it had more than describing it exactly, as doing that would have probably been an exercise in futility. And yet I had some very specific sounds in mind while writing the scene and seeing it play out in front of my internal eye.
Just a fair warning, this post is probably mostly uninteresting ramblings.
So, I was on my happy way finishing writing the first half of chapter 7 of A Bug on a Stick, when I was hit by the realization that it wasn't working.
By the way, I still haven't forgiven Realization, who probably conspired with my dentist appointment to make my day slightly more miserable.
Just a short heads-up; as I have two stories to write for a deadline (my own fault, I know) and as I also have two finals coming up, the new chapter will be a bit delayed. Not sure when it will be out, but I should manage to do it before the end of the month.
My dearest readers,
as a servant (and a humble one, now admire me) and provider of entertainment, I have one question for my audience. Should I publish new chapters for A Bug on a Stick as soon as they are ready, or do you prefer a slightly more regular cadence?
