`Scootaloo hung her head glumly, her right fore-hoof absently drawing an indistinguishable pattern on the wood of her desk. Her purple eyes drifted wistfully to one of the windows. The sun was shining and a light breeze was blowing, a perfect day to be out.

But she was stuck here.

With both of her friends sick one day from school, Scootaloo has to find somepony else to hang out with. Terrible taunts, slimy spitballs and errant TV quotes ensure.

Derpy was never meant to be important. She was always meant to be remain in the background. But slowly, she became more important. Appeared more often.

But what happens when the powers that be decide you're 'politically incorrect' or 'offensive?' What does it feel like to be censored?

Dinky Doo just learned that her mother, Ditzy, is Daring Do's sister. Now, together with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, she sets out to find the Cakes' kidnapped foals. Their adventures teach her more than she expected about crusading, sisterhood, and ― most of all ― herself.

Almost everypony in Ponyville knows about Scootaloo. She lives with her Aunt Ditzy and her Cousin Dinky and is one third of the trio of terrors that are the Cutie Mark Crusaders. However, almost nopony knows who Scootaloo's mom is. When her mother finally comes home to Ponyville, Scootaloo doesn't want anypony to find out and her friends are determined to learn why. They discover something they never suspected...

Dinky and Sparkler have the most awesome godmom in Equestria--that's right, me! Rainbow Dash. Being friends with their mom means I've spent a lot of time with them over the past few years. They're pretty cool kids.

But then ... well, Ditzy got sick. Like, really sick. I've been watching them for her, but if she doesn't get better soon, they may be staying with me for a lot longer than I thought.

That's okay, though: I'm Rainbow Dash. I can handle anything life throws at me.

On the surface, Derpy Hooves is doing well. She has a comfortable home, a happy daughter, and a steady job.

Below the surface, things aren't adding up. The house needs fixing, Dinky needs sitters, and Derpy's hours are being cut back.

When the one pony who can really get under Derpy's skin pushes her toward a decision she can't make, everything threatens to come crashing to a halt.

Golden Harvest farms carrots, is incredibly devoted to her husband, and lives in bubbles.

Written Script writes and travels far too often, but is charismatic and well-liked.

Derpy likes muffins and is legally unfit to take care of her foal.

And then there's Dinky, who (legally) belongs to Golden Harvest and (legally) must visit her mother once a month.

Life is incredibly complex, but it's also profoundly simple.

Dinky has grown up enough to stay home by herself while her mother Derpy is out making deliveries. But Dinky isn't so happy about this when a major storm rolls in from the Everfree Forest and her mother doesn't come home that night.

Everypony is her own worst critic, but few take it to the extreme that Derpy does. Still, where friendship and magic abound, a helping hoof is never far away, if only she'll reach out and take it.

This is just a small byproduct of my mind while I am working on a bigger project. It popped up in my head, wouldn´t let go and blocked any creativity, so I had to get it out of there...
