Twilight Sparkle was cursed, imprisoned into a castle. The only way for her to be freed was for her True Love to kill the great dragon guarding her. For years, suitors lined up in front of her castle. Today, she is waiting for her love to come.

Handsome, suave, and just bursting with charisma, Prince Blueblood is the stallion every mare in Equestria pines for. At least until they spend five minutes with him and realize he's a pompous blowhard. When a royal summit at the Crystal Empire goes sour, the only nephew of Princess Celestia is ordered to mingle with the "lowly commoners" with the intent of reconnecting with society. Though begrudgingly accepting his punishment just to humor his auntie, things quickly go from bad to worse when a certain pink pony from the boonies crashes into him bearing the worst possible news...in the worst possible place.

Written for Writer's Training Grounds #003 with the prompt, "While helping Twilight Sparkle with her genealogical research, Pinkie discovers another surprising familial connection. Pinkie heads out to investigate."

Octavia's birthday is coming up, and Luna wants to make sure that she appropriately honors her favorite musician and close friend. In disguise as the page Night Vision, she works with another page named Paperweight to scour the city of Canterlot and find the perfect gift! Hats will be purchased, gelato will be consumed, and even powerful ponies like Prince Blueblood may find themselves roped into the shenanigans. But at the end of the day, Luna is confident that she and Paperweight can find a perfect present for a wonderful musician.

The law exists to protect Equestrian citizens, and must be enacted in a fair and even manner. Prince Blueblood knows this; he's accepted punishment for his numerous minor disturbances of the Equestrian legal system, without ever trying to slip out of it.

Fluttershy is in violation the law. Ergo, she must be brought to justice. That's just logic.

Now if only he can get the captain of the guard and his annoyingly lackidasial aunt to cooperate...
