With end-of-year exams at the School of Friendship taking much of her time and energy, Ocellus the changeling has been feeling tired and stressed. Her friends offer to take her to Canterlot for a break, but Sandbar has an even better idea - a romantic dinner at the Tasty Treat.

Once again, this story was requested by chazkopa, whom I would like to thank for giving me an excuse to write an Ocelbar-centred fanfic. I was thinking of doing one anyway, and I may do one set in the Locoverse at a later date, but for now, this has allowed me to indulge in one of my two Young Six OTPs (sorry, Yonabar fans).

The basis for this story, again, is a picture by 13mcjunkinm which I've adopted as the cover art. Another artwork that came to light while I was working on the story, and which I've worked into the narrative, is this.

After escaping his birth family and an emotionally abusive lover, Gallus becomes homeless in Griffonstone. Grampa Gruff offers him a new place in Ponyville in exchange for becoming a student at Twilight's new School of Friendship. Gallus discovers new friends, fun hobbies, new romances, and a mother in a pony he never expected. Retelling of Seasons 8-9, and onward.

It's been ten years since Sandbar graduated from the School of Friendship and he's doing well for himself. With Yona, he's made a name for himself in the fashion world by becoming the co-owner of the Ponyville branch of the Carousel Boutique only after a few years of working there.

It's been seven years since Gallus left Ponyville to enlist with the Canterlot Royal Guards, becoming the first Griffon in history to do so. At first, both were concerned about the distance, but felt that their bond could only grow stronger.

It's been five years since Gallus broke up with Sandbar.

Now, after throwing himself into his work at the Carousel Boutique for the past few years, Sandbar finds himself reminiscing on the past despite himself.

While the girls are going on a Spa day together, Gallus and Sandbar work to get the clubhouse ready for Hearth’s Warming, but accidents happen.

With the girls getting back at sunset, will Gallus and Sandbar be able to make it out on top, or will this be even more disastrous than Applejack’s fashion sense?

The Heart's Warming Eve is approaching; all creatures in Equestria and beyond are preparing for this amazing holiday, and students are going home to celebrate it with their families. Sandbar is making final preparations for departure when he suddenly notices that his friend, Gallus, does not share everyone's joy. Now the colt will not rest until he finds a way to cheer up his feathered pal.

Sandbar and Yona have gotten closer together since their trip to Yakyakistan. It seems that they can't be separated by anything. However, one night, the colt gets into an incident with a Timberwolf. He seems to be fine, but Yona and their friends start noticing he's getting more aggressive.

There are some things you have to know about surfing, the most important being there's a difference between trying to catch the wave and letting the wave catch you.

This is a story about friendship, light and darkness, and how sometimes even the most unreasonable sins have reasons.

Sandbar's life has been great. His friends from the school of friendship are awesome, his crush on Ocellus blossomed into a wonderful relationship and in general he's never been better.
But then a much anticipated visit from an old friend turns his whole world upside down and inside out.

I would like to say a huge thank you to my now traditional proofreader: PinkDragonJr whose help made this story look actually like a story written in English instead of my usual rather clanky pile of words.

P.S. This was originally a rewritten version of Jay David's Old Friend, No Longer which since then been merged with other stories to create the "The Young Six" anthology. Though since the original concept my story has changed a lot and now it has basically nothing to do with his original story but a few excerpt from the beginning of the first chapter can still be found which are directly copied from his work.
I debated myself for a long time whether I should change that part and the OC's name but I decided that as a token of my respect I will not. After all without his story this wouldn't exist. Of course I have his permission.

Not just because of Discord's track record of creating trouble, but because they have come to learn the truth of him being the one who brought King Sombra back, the destroyer of their idol, the Tree of Harmony. Bearing a grudge, the students reluctantly go to Discord's lesson, none the wiser to the fact that there is a familiar villain lurking in the shadows, looking to manipulate the darkness within their hearts...
