For months now, Ponyville Schoolhouse has enjoyed peace and harmony, but such tranquility can never last. A new bully has risen to power, striking fear into everypony at school, and her name is Dinky Doo! When she's not listening attentively in class, taking a test, or doing her homework, she becomes the baddest of the bad. It falls to Miss Cheerilee to set the filly back on the straight and narrow before it's too late, at least according to Dinky herself.

It's been a couple months since Rumble's brother started dating his classmate's mom. Now saddled with all the jokes that come with it, a thunderstorm he didn't prepare for is just what he needed.

And, of course, there's also her daughter, Dinky.

Perhaps, though, there's more to her than Rumble thought, and sharing an umbrella may show him things aren't as bad as they seem.

Sparkler Doo has just started her first summer in Ponyville and already has plans with her family. Why should she have friends?

Mailponies, the couriers of Equestria, carry important documents and packages back and forth throughout the land. Known for being kind, steadfast, and reliable, they are bound by a code of conduct detailing how to behave. In this code, an emphasis is placed on camaraderie between fellow mailponies. They are to trust, assist, and cooperate with each other whenever they can.

When mailmare Ditzy Doo finds an injured stallion by the edge of the Everfree Forest, she takes him under her wing. Upon waking, she discovers that he is, in fact, another mailpony, bound by the same creed as her. Through an adherence to the rules and the kindness of her heart, she allows the stallion to stay with her until he recovers. What will life be like for him under the Doo roof? More importantly, will he survive Dinky?

Derpy was never meant to be important. She was always meant to be remain in the background. But slowly, she became more important. Appeared more often.

But what happens when the powers that be decide you're 'politically incorrect' or 'offensive?' What does it feel like to be censored?

She also happens to be the Element of Kindness, something that can lead to a pony getting some unwanted attention. This starts to become a problem when she is approached by some ponies from Manehattan with an offer they doubt she'll refuse. What will happen? How will the Elements react? And what part does Big Macintosh play in all of this?

Cheerilee loves teaching. Despite all the trials and tribulations it presents, it's worth it in the end when her students learn something new. Not even a letter from the Ministry of Education reminding her about the impending teacher evaluations can sway her. But tack on her new relationship, the constant 'help' of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and some strange behavior from Dinky and Sparkler, and her life is about to become a lot more complicated.

This story is set in parallel with The Life and Times of a Winning Pony and The Study of a Winning Pony with the approval of Chengar Qordath, Comma-Kazie and Ponibius.
