1: a plate on the thorax of certain insects that is usually a dorsal part of the 11th segment

2: a believable name for a Changeling that has the letters "Pip" in it.

This is an entry in the Snippet Series, an anthology of old oneshots that I (and my good buddy Str8aura) wrote based around interesting pics I found. New ones will be posted every other Thursday for the foreseeable future.

Zipp and Pipp have always been distant sisters. Their interests never aligned, and rarely did they spend time in each other's company when their mom wasn't involved. But after returning from an adventure and making friends with earth ponies and a unicorn, the two royals have an important question to answer: are they sisters, or are they family?

Zipp is alone once again on Hearts and Hooves Day. So is her mom.

Izzy is bored waiting for Zipp to arrive for their get together, so she offers to style Sunny's mane while they wait.

Thanks to the heroics of Sunny Starscout, Hitch Trailblazer, Izzy Moonbow, Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals, magic has at long last returned to the land, and after many many years apart, earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi no longer live in abject fear of each other. However, there’s still one big loose end Sunny has to tie up. All it took was one little question from her new friends about her old foalhood friend Sprout Cloverleaf.

Sunny and Hitch have both been caught up lately, with friends, with duties, training; you name it. They've hardly had anytime to hang out lately.
