Snowdrop's life during the time Princess Luna is gone.
Princess Celestia and Snowdrop both miss Princess Luna. When Twilight arrives, Celestia is happy; but not as happy as Snowdrop is. Twilight and Snowdrop have a huge relationship as best friends.
It's kind of short and settle, but it proves a point.
Snow falling down to the ground… The snowflakes that a blind, light blue Pegasus mare made for a very special day. A day that wouldn’t last forever. Princess Luna had transformed into Nightmare Moon… Leaving the filly to grow into a mare, without her only friend in the world. That day that mare created the snowflakes when she was just a filly; made the hatred in the princesses heart sink. The blind mare released her snowflake into the sky to cue the next snowfall.
“Great job Snowdrop. You’ve done it once again.” Princess Celestia said.
“It’s not the same without Princess Luna.” Snowdrop sighed.
Celestia didn’t answer, she missed her beloved sister.
Princess Celestia at this time, a few years later, has found a new student. Twilight Sparkle has just arrived after the tragedy of Sunset Shimmer. Snowdrop wanted to be careful around this new filly, because of what had happened to her. Although she couldn’t see her, Snowdrop could tell that Sunset Shimmer wasn’t the best.
“Alright Twilight, I hope that you’ll enjoy being here at the castle.” Princess Celestia welcomed.
“Of course, it has always been my dream to live here.” Twilight said.
Then, in the corner of her eye, she saw a light blue Pegasus in the corner, working. Snowdrop was preparing for the winter coming up. She was crying, that was the only way she knew how to make her wishing snow.
“Who’s that? Why is she crying?” Twilight asked.
“That’s Snowdrop, she makes the snowflakes in the winter time. And the way she does them is using her tears. Then, using one of her feathers to make them look like a star. She found the winters blessings, so if you think that winter is happy now, thank her, she made it happy. The twinkle from the stars that I made help her make the snow.” Celestia answered.
“Why?”
“Because she can’t see anything.”
“Can I go see her?”
“You can, but let her get to know you. She has had a rough time making any friends.”
Twilight trotted over and looked at her face.
“Hello Twilight Sparkle.” Snowdrop welcomed.
“You know my name?” Twilight asked in disbelief.
“Even though I can’t see you, I heard about you from Celestia.”
“What did she say?”
“I can’t answer the question now.”
“Okay, how did you start to make the wishing snow?”
“You mean the star?!”
“Yes sorry.”
“It’s alright; anyways. When I was a little filly and was in school to prepare for the 100th spring sunrise under their rule. I made a wish to the stars my mother had told me about; then it came to me. I created a star, and gave it to them for the celebration. And then the following winter, I released more of them that winter.”
“Whoa.”
“I’m glad you asked me, none of the other ponies wanted to know about me. They’d judge me before they even knew me.”
“You’re welcome Snowdrop. If you need to talk we can.”
“Thanks. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to work.”
“See you later Snowdrop.”
Twilight left the room with Celestia. Snowdrop went back to work with a sad smile on her face. She made a friend, a forever friend.
Twilight was no longer a filly anymore at this time. She made friends in Ponyville and stayed there, but Princess Luna had returned. The best gift of all. Snowdrop’s time had come, she was dying. The nurse of the hallway led Twilight to Snowdrop’s room.
“Snowdrop?” Twilight softly called.
“Hey Twilight.” Snowdrop painfully said.
Snowdrop really didn’t look so good, her voice wasn’t so sweet anymore, and it lost its glow. And her fur color wasn’t light blue, it was more pale blue.
“What happened?” Twilight asked her.
“Just a heart attack and now I know that my time is almost up.” Snowdrop answered.
“I have one of your stars in my hoof. Make a final wish and I’ll do what I can to make it come true.”
“Ever since I was small, I’ve always wanted to see. But I’ve kept it away because I wanted to save it for the right time.”
“I’ll grant it.”
Twilight used her unicorn magic, lifting Snowdrop up a little bit.
Snowdrop gasped, “I can see! Twilight, you are so beautiful.”
“Thank you, now you can see until your time here is over.”
“Thank you Twilight. This is the best gift I have ever received. I don’t want to leave now. Having the ability to see, and seeing how beautiful things are. As much as I have missed.”
“You have never missed much, you’ve been the best friend since I came to the castle. You’ve been there, you are like a best friend that I simply just can’t explain. I love you more than anything.”
“But I have never seen anything until now.”
“It is okay. I knew that you thought that I was beautiful from the way I talked to you. And from what you’ve heard.”
Snowdrop smiled.
“Thank you Twilight. I love you and… that… will… never… change.” Snowdrop heaved.
The constant beeping went to a long drawn out beep, Snowdrop was gone.
“You’ve been my best friend ever.”
That winter Celestia and Luna released the star that she had made for the celebration long time ago. Many tears fell that day, they froze and made their own stars. It had to of been the saddest winter in Equestria. The star floated down to a small sapling on the ground, creating a small flower that bent down.
Thank you my friend. For everything you gave. And every wish you never knew came true. Goodbye.
Princess Twilight Sparkle. Twilight has earned her wings. But when her wings appeared and started floating to the Ponyvillian floor, something amazing happened. In her eyes, a small figure appeared.
“Twilight.” A small sweet voice said.
“Snowdrop?” Twilight asked.
Somewhat looking up, she saw the ice blue Pegasus pony she called friend.
“Snowdrop! What are you doing here?” Twilight asked.
“I heard that you were earning your wings. And, as your friend, I wanted to be the first to congratulate you.” Snowdrop answered.
Twilight smiled, the best friend that she had when she was just a young filly after her brother, was the first to say, congratulations to her.
“Thanks Snowdrop, you’re the best. I hope that everything is certainly fine for you.” Twilight thanked.
“So far it is Twilight, I miss you. Hope to see you soon.” Snowdrop said.
“Bye Snowdrop.”
Tears ran down her face as she reached the ground with her new wings.
