It was a sunny day in Ponyville, and the colorful ponies were enjoying their usual activities. Rainbow Dash, the fastest flyer in Equestria, was practicing her tricks in the clear blue sky. Little did she know, a sinister force was lurking, waiting for the right moment to strike.
That evening, after a tiring day, Rainbow Dash returned home to find a package waiting for her. It had no return address and was wrapped in a dull grey paper. Curiosity got the better of her, so she cautiously opened it. Inside, she found a peculiar artifact, a faded rainbow-colored pendant with a cryptic inscription.
Feeling an odd sense of unease, Rainbow Dash decided to wear the pendant that night. As she drifted off to sleep, a faint whisper echoed through her dreams, "Fly to the abandoned castle..."
Rainbow Dash tossed and turned in her sleep as the voice was getting louder and louder with it's commands to fly to the castle. Unable to get Rainbow dash's attention, the cursed pendent forced a nightmare induced seizure that plagued Rainbow dash until the dawn of the next day. Throughout that hellish night, Rainbow dash went into multiple hellish nightmares that nopony could ever unsee or mentally recover from, followed by uncontrollable body spasms, screaming,and crying.
The next day, Rainbow Dash woke up with a strong urge to follow the mysterious voice she heard in her dreams. Pushing her doubts aside, she decided to visit the abandoned castle at the edge of the Everfree Forest. As she flew closer, the castle revealed its decrepit and eerie exterior.
Inside the castle, Rainbow Dash was startled by strange noises and shadows lurking in the corners. Ignoring her instincts, she pressed on. Suddenly, a shadowy figure appeared before her, chanting in a voice that sent shivers down her spine.
Mesmerized by the haunting figure, Rainbow Dash couldn't move as it placed a curse upon her. From that moment onward, she would experience nightmares and hallucinations that blurred the line between reality and the twisted depths of her imagination.
Rainbow dash ran from the figure as fast as her hooves could carry her, only to find that she was trapped in an endless loop of her worst fears and memories from alternate realities that corresponded with her everyday life choices.
Rainbow dash ran into a nightmare that seemed so surreal that she tried to make sense of it... Rainbow dash entered the city of cloudsdale to only see boarded up windows and rainbow colored blood covered the ground as she saw a sign that read "Go to the Factory for the answer".
Rainbow dash followed the sign's instructions and went to the factory.
Nightmares consumed Rainbow Dash's dreams, filled with distorted versions of her friends and the tainted lands of Ponyville. She would wake up screaming, sweat pouring down her face, only to find herself in the middle of disorienting and surreal situations.
During the day, Rainbow Dash's behavior became erratic. Her once vibrant personality turned dark and aggressive, causing her friends to grow worried and distant. The curse took hold of her, slowly poisoning her mind and soul. Rainbow Dash found herself drawn to the forbidden and forbidden to resist.
"Why are you tormenting me like this?", rainbow dash asked the darkened silhouette of herself.
The darkened version of herself looked at her and smiled an evil smile and rotated her neck counterclockwise and making her neck snap repeatedly before stopping herself. A sudden and awkward silence filled the air as rainbow dash and her alternate version of herself locked eyes with eah other, staring into both of their souls waiting for the other one to blink.
"we're still in the factory rainbow", the figure said to rainbow dash with a devilish hiss in her voice.
Rainbow dash looked around her with a panicked and scared look on her face as the figure morphed into absentia. Absentia looked just like scootaloo to rainbow dash but was a demon on the inside. Rainbow dash looked at what appeared to be scootaloo and hung her head down in disbelief and bursted into tears. Absentia grabbed a knife from her labcoat and used this opportunity to kill her at her weakest point. Absentia smiled and charged at her with full speed, stabbing her multiple times in the chest while laughing like a madmare from the insane asylum.
As the curse continued its relentless grip, Rainbow Dash became a danger to herself and those around her. Strange incidents plagued Ponyville, leaving ponies injured and in fear. Desperate to free Rainbow Dash from the curse, her friends sought help from Zecora, the wise zebra in the Everfree Forest.
Zecora revealed that the cursed pendant was once a powerful artifact used by a vengeful sorceress who had perished long ago. In an ancient ritual, they combined their magic to break the curse that held Rainbow Dash captive. A blinding light enveloped her as the curse shattered.
Rainbow Dash awoke, lying in the familiarity and comfort of her own bed. Her friends surrounded her, relief and concern etched upon their faces. From that day forward, Rainbow Dash never spoke of her haunting experience, but the scars remained.
Though she returned to her old self, the memory of the curse lingered within her, reminding her of the dark forces that existed beyond Equestria's colorful facade. Little did they know, the sorceress's spirit still whispered from the shadows, biding her time for another chance to wreak havoc upon Equestria.
And so, Rainbow Dash returned to her normal life in Ponyville as before this incident had happened. Ponyville's boundaries between the everfree forest and the abandoned castle was blocked off and sealed off from the city as a precautionary measure.
But princess celestia ordered that the amulet be placed into containment to be studied for future scenarios such as this one. Celestia also ordered that rainbow dash be studied closely as well to be sure the dark energy did not linger within her.
