It was a lovely sunny day at Sweet Apple Acres and all the ponies there were hard at work getting apples for the cider season. And there was one pony that was always hard at work. That pony was Applejack. She was currently busy with apple bucking and filling the buckets up. She was so busy for a few hours til two ponies caught her attention. But they were two she didn't want to see. Her aunt and uncle Orange. See when she was little and went to Manehattan and is taken by her aunt and uncle, the two are amused by her country mannerisms and introduce her to the city's high society. As Applejack greets the social elite of Manehattan, Aunt Orange compliments her on her learned speech but later attempts to save face when Applejack embarrasses herself. Yeah back then it was better to be herself.

"Aunt and Uncle Orange. What are you two doing here?" Applejack asked.

"What? Can't we visit our niece every once in a while? We just wanted to see if you wanted to give the Manehattan life another chance." Aunt Orange replied.

"That was the old me back then. Im happy here at Sweet Apple Acres." Applejack reminded her.

"Come now. I know it was hard getting used to this. But I promise you that this will be easier. You can even make up some lies to get away with a few things." Uncle Orange try to reason with her.

"Your kidding right? Im not a liar and I never will be." Applejack said.

"I figured you say that. So we got you a necklace. That way you can always remember us." Aunt Orange said handing her a gold necklace with a shiny emerald in it.

Applejack knew better than to be handed over something that could be bad. But a necklace wasn't something awful. So she took it and put it on. However the emerald on the necklace began to glow and Applejack felt her head aching bad. Then it stopped and she opened her eyes which glowed a green and stopped. Then her skin became a little grayer.

"Now then. Anything else you like to say dear?" Aunt Orange asked.

"Yeah. Who cares about Sweet Apple Acres? Granny and Big Mac can handle it all by themselves. They don't need me." Applejack said snobby.

"That's much better dear. Now why don't you come with us and we'll help you become a Manehattan citizen in no time." Uncle Orange said.

The trio left but none of them realize that her younger sister was watching the whole thing and didn't like what they did.

"You two rotten oranges. I will help my sister realize that lying doesn't work in any way." Apple Bloom said determined.

She got her stuff and headed out to Manehattan to get her sister back.

In the city of Manehattan we see the trio doing some activities that had to offer. First they had dinner at a fancy restaurant which they had snobby discussions. Next was heading to a salon for a makeover and Applejack had her hair done in curls. Then was a club where most snobs go to talk about just any fancy stuff. Finally was a trip to the clothes shop where only the fanciest clothes are made. After all that time spent Applejack sat on the bed and looked through all the clothes she got. Some were stolen and she lied about another pony taking them. Then Apple Bloom came in and Applejack saw her.

"Ugh! Who's raggy runt is this?!" Applejack shouted in disgust.

"AJ! It's me your sister! You have to come home now! Granny and Mac are extremely worried!" Apple Bloom said trying to reason with her.

"In that revolting barn? No way! It's not my home." Applejack said.

"Don't lie AJ! It's always your home!" Apple Bloom argued. Then she noticed that it was the emerald controlling her and needed to take it off.

"AJ. You aren't in control. Take that necklace off and please come home!!" Apple Bloom pleaded.

"No. Manehattan IS my home now. So scram peasant." Applejack said rudely.

"That's enough!!" Apple Bloom shouted as she ripped off the necklace and smashed it to pieces. Once destroyed the spell was broken and Applejack was freed. She rubbed her head and groaned a bit.

"Ow. What happened?" Applejack asked all confused.

"Sis!" Apple Bloom said hugging her. "It was aunt and uncle Orange. They placed some kind of mind controlling necklace on you and made you act like a snobby liar and jerk."

Applejack realized her mistake and sobbed hugging Apple Bloom.

"Oh im so sorry sugarcube. I didn't mean to be so selfish and rude. Can you forgive me?" Applejack asked.

"Yes. We're sisters and we always forgive each other." Apple Bloom reminded her.

"Thank you Apple Bloom. Now im leaving all this fancy stuff here. Let's go back home." Applejack told her sister.

"I was thinking the same thing." Apple Bloom smiled as they headed home.

The two sisters walked all the way from Manehattan back to Sweet Apple Acres and away from the Oranges. And funny thing is when the store owner found the clothes in the Orange's room he alerted the police and arrested them. But back home we see the Apples and sharing their apple sweets and telling them the whole story of how Apple Bloom saved her sister from Manehattan.

"Im proud of you Apple Bloom. Saving your sister from those Oranges." Granny Smith said.

"Thanks Granny. It was no easy task but I couldn't let my sister stay there. Not to mention that the necklace was making her lie." Apple Bloom told Granny.

"Ugh. That is why we don't need all that fancy stuff. We have everything we need right here." Granny replied.

"Eeyup." Big Mac said.

Then all the Apples chuckled from that and did the dishes.

"Ok everypony. It's late. Bedtime." Granny said.

Soon everyone was getting ready for bed and before Applejack went to sleep she kissed her sister on the forehead thanking her for saving her from Manehattan and the Oranges. It just goes to show you that you don't lie and pretend to be something your not. Be yourself and that's all you can do.
