Twilight's in a body that's not her own, in a dark, dank, structure...

Twilight wakes up in a Dark, wet, room. She's lost, alone, and no idea how to get home.

Her body has been changed. She retains some features, but she is what can be described as a monster.

She's been down there for days, surviving on the water that reaches the underground she's in. She's hoping for something to happen, because right now, she's trapped...

Twilight snorted awake, her breath hitching for a moment. She groaned slightly, rolling from her side to her belly on the ratty, decomposed mattresses. She laid there for a few seconds more before deciding that sleep had eluded her. Slowly, her purple eyes fluttered open.

She was met with same faintly lit room she woke up to days ago. Her eyes now could see better than they could back when she wasn't... this.

Her body had changed drastically. She looked as if a pony and diamond dog mixed, with a healthy measure of Sombra's dark magic thrown in. She'd grown in size, for one. Her head had now sported a elongated horn and snout, her maw now being filled with sharp teeth. They resembled a wolves in that regard. Her eyes were smaller, still keeping their lavender color, but being much less expressive than her old ones. She still had her mane, it's colors the same, but it was wild and unkempt.

Moving down her body, her neck had much more fur, puffing up around her collar. She still retained her wings, the feathers on them being more than a little beaten from her rough sleeping conditions. Her forelegs now were long claws, again like a wolves. They held more dexterity, however, being similar to a griffon's foreclaw or a minitours hand. Her rear and hind legs were the only parts that hardly changed, her legs only being a bit longer. She still had her tail, and her fur was the same color.

She looked like something from the Everfree. When she'd first spied her reflection, being a passing glance at a shattered mirror, she screamed in terror, the resulting screech causing her more fright. She remembered rearing up and-

She winced at the memory. It had not been pleasant trying to wrench her horn from the ceiling. That had been... 4 days ago. It was hard for the princess to tell the time in dark. She'd slept 3 times since first arriving, so it was probably accurate to say it was her fourth day down here.

The pony sighed, and stood to all fours. She scanned the room she'd called her home for the past few days. It was a square room, containing nearly 2 dozen old, rusted bunk beds. Their mattresses were rotted and tattered, their age showing. Last night, she had picked a few in the best conditions, pushed the frames to the edges of the room, and piled the bedding into the center of the room. The bedding leaked moisture when she laid on them, but they were more comfortable than just sleeping on the floor. Barely.

She'd noticed pretty early on that she was larger than most of the items in this place. The beds around her could only fit half of her on them, for example. Most of the doorways were narrow and short enough that she'd have to duck her head and suck in tight to fit herself through them. And if she stood on her hind legs, her horn would scrape the ceiling.

The pony walked forward, squeezing through the open doorway and into the hallway. She'd learned that nothing else was down here, so she'd forgone closing the metal door. The halls either side of her stretched on in darkness as far as she could see, which truthfully, wasn't that far. Her vision in the dark was just a bit better.

Her horn sparked to life, bathing the corridor in purple light. One thing going in her favour was still being able to use her magic. While it was weakened and stale where she was right now, she was still able to access most of her lower powered spells, such as telekinesis and light generation.

The pony trotted forward, her back hooves clopping and echoing as she made her way to another area of the structure. She weaved past stagnant puddles of water and debris that littered the hallway, past open and closed doorways. She'd travelled down the straight corridor until met a 4 way intersection. She stopped, gazing in each way, before spotting a small arrow she'd inscribed into the wall. She smiled at her intuition, before going into the hallway to her left.

She continued for another minute before the corridor began to become more visible. Light gently cascaded into the hall, it's source a open doorway at the end. She sped up just slightly as she slid through the threshold and into the light proper.

This room was large, it's ceiling much higher than the room's around it. Old machinery sat unused around the room, their intended purpose having to do with the operation of this place. But more important to Twilight, was the small hole in the ceiling. Light and Water spilled from the hole and into the room. The water splashed onto the ground, where a small pond was made in the concrete.

The princess walked forward, and dipped her snout into the small pond. Unlike the rest of the water in the many rooms of this place, this water was fresh and clean, sourced from whatever stream came from above. After taking a few deep gulps of the water, she slowed herself down, removing her snout from the water and just continuing to take small sips of the cool water. While the rest of this building gave her a sense of dread and a small amount of fear, this room, with the small hole that allowed light and water in, gave her a feeling of safety.

The magic was stronger in this room as well. Not enough to allow her to teleport without causing any side effects, but enough to ward off the empty feeling she'd felt in the other rooms. She raised her head away from the water, letting out a content sigh. Despite the confusion on her first day, and the subsequent searching for a exit for the next 2, she felt good standing here. Her continued adventuring of the dark structure would continue soon, searching for a exit and potentially some food. She hadn't eaten, and while it seemed like her new body could last a bit longer without food, she was still growing hungry, so finding something edible would be a priority, along with finding a exit.

She planned to check the last corridor at that 4 way intersection this time, along with the rooms in it. The other two led to more empty rooms, some containing desks and machinery, while others had long abandoned shelves and crates.

"I better get started then..." She muttered to herself, though it only came out as almost indecipherable growls and grunts. She glanced upwards at the light, before turning around and leaving to where she had came.

Twilight had been exploring for the last hour, and still had yet to find anything of interest. While this wing seemed larger than the other two, most of the rooms she'd come across contained more debris and old decor. She had found a room that reminded of the tavern in ponyville, one it's walls dominated by dozens of bottles, all behind a large counter. She had taken one, and after giving it a sniff, decided that it wasn't something she should ingest.

And now here she stood, at yet another intersection, deciding which way she should proceed. She debated with herself which way to explore for a few minutes.

"ughh..." She groaned, "I wish I had someway to make a map of this place. If I get even more lost in here, that'll just make it harder to find a exit." She began pacing back and forth, "And if I can't find a exit, the best bet I'll have is the room with the waterfall."

She stood for another few moments before stomping her front leg down.

"Okay Twilight!" She said suddenly, "I've got a solution." She raised a claw, and began pointing to each of the ways, reciting a rhyme. "Eenie, meany, miney, mo-"

Her rhymes were silenced when a loud metallic bang echoed through the halls. Her eyes shrunk to pinpricks as her ears swiveled around, trying to locate any more sounds.

"What was..." She whispered, before there was another bang, followed by some other noises. She couldn't make them out now, but they almost sounded like...

A voice?

A voice! Somepony was talking somewhere! A smile formed on her face as her ears tried to locate the sound, with them deducing it came from her right. She quickly galloped down the hall, stopping at another intersection, again listening. It sounded like it came from her left. The voice was louder now! The words were spoken quickly, She couldn't quite understand them, despite it seeming somewhat familiar. Her smile faded just a tinge, as her paced slowed to just a trot.

"Oh ponyfeathers... what if they can't understand me..." She whispered out. "What if they get scared when they see me. Then they'll run and get the guard. And if they do that and don't recognize me then..." She trailed off as she rounded the corner, she scanned the room she'd entered.

This room was another large one. It had tall concrete walls with a high ceiling, filled with more deserted boxes and crates. But that wasn't what drew her attention. Standing in the middle of the room, was a creature she'd never seen before.

It stood on two legs, judging by its silhouette, as it faced a different wall. In one of its forelimbs, it held something that illuminated the wall. The light cast over a sign in a strange language. She could recognize the letters, but it's meaning was unknown to Twilight. It again talked in a different language, it's voice sounding masculine. Twilight swore she'd heard it before, when she was younger maybe.

"I should introduce myself, and see if it... he can find a way out." She muttered to herself. Taking a deep breath, she cleared her throat, and spoke.

"Hello?"

Immediately, the creature spun around to face her. His face had no snout, but it reminded her of a primate's. Two, forward facing eyes, ears on the side of his head, a small protrusion on the center of his face. It wore some things on it's torso and hind legs. The creature raised it's light, and shone it upon Twilight.

After a moment of blindness and blinking her eyes rapidly, she was able to see the creature. His mouth was held open in shock, eyes wide as he stared at Twilight. He retreated backwards a step, the pony noticing how it's whole body was tensed, looking like it would dart at any moment.

After a moment of silence, the princess spoke, "Hi there?" she gingerly took a step forward.

The creature reacted instantly, turning and sprinting away from the pony.

"W-wait!" Twilight shouted. This only made the creature move faster.

It reached a door, and began desperately trying to move the wheel attached to it. It wouldn't budge. Twilight approached slowly, trying to not spook the creature further.

He slowly turned around, its face looking more fearful as Twilight got closer. She stopped a few hooves away. The creature's eyes darted between her, the object in her hand, and something in his clothes.

"I'm not gonna hurt you..." Twilight tried to reassure it, but seeing as her voice was difficult to understand, the creature just continued to back away against the door. His reached his forelimb into the clothing, and removed something. He waved it in front of Twilight, who sniffed the thing.

"Is that... a sandwich?" She licked her lips hungrily, which caused the creature to back away a little more. He waved it around a bit more, before tossing it to left.

"Hey! That's a perfectly good sandwich!" The pony chased the sandwich, it splatting against the concrete floor. She grabbed it in her teeth, before turning back to where the creature stood, "You're lucky I believe in the 5 second..."

The creature was sprinting away, to where she'd come from, as fast as it could. Twilight quickly scarfed down the sandwich, before dashing after the creature.

He kept running as she shouted after it, "Wait! You'll get us more lost!" It took a hard right, surprising Twilight as she skidded around the corner. She recovered and continued after it, yelling.

"I just want some help!"

"Scheiße!"

Felix slid around another corner, before again running as fast as he could. He could hear the monster behind him come to the corner, it's hoofsteps pausing for a moment, before they continued again behind him. Again, another of series of growls sounded behind him, further motivating him to move faster.

The poor man's breathing was ragged. He wasn't out of shape, by any means, but running top speed through a dark bunker while being chased by a monster that was bigger than him was not a pleasant experience.

He was just a average guy who like exploring, and posting pictures or videos to his accounts of his adventures. He didn't hunt monsters for a living! He didn't even believe in monsters! But he was a fool apparently, because some sort of hellhound mixed with a mythological beast was chasing him, probably intent on ripping his body to shreds.

"Bad thought! Bad thought!" He yelled to himself in his native german, before jumping over a particularly large puddle situated in the middle of the old tunnel. He stumbled a bit after his left shoe came in contact with the cold water, but remained on his feet. Fortunately for the young man, he heard a large splash followed by a crash. He turned his head for a second, and saw the monster prone on the floor.

"Yes!" The man relished in the small respite, but he did not dare to stop running. He continued on through the dark halls, his phones light aimed ahead.

"Ow..." Twilight rubbed her snout with a hoof. She'd forgotten about this puddle. She had just glided over it the first time she saw it, when she came this way the first time, but during her frenzied chase after the Creature, she'd completely zoned it. And now she laid prone, the cold, dirty water soaking her belly, and her snout aching from when she had hit the ground.

She stopped trying to nurse her snout, and looked down the hall ahead. The light from the creature was getting further away, before it disappeared completely, probably from yet another turn.

"Oh for the love of Celestia..." She muttered out. She quickly stood, shook herself of some of the excess water, and began to trot forwards. She couldn't tell exactly where he had gone. The pony let out a sigh, continuing to gaze ahead.

She sniffed, paused for a moment, then sniffed again. There was a smell. Unique, different from the moist and stale air of the structure. The smell reminded her of charcoal, mixed with something sour. Sweat, grimacing a little at the smell, before her eyes widened.

"The creature!" She dropped her head to the ground, picking up the sent a little more strongly, and began following her nose. It seemed that along with her eyesight, her sense of smell had also improved considerably.

"I just hope he won't run again..." The pony continued on the trail, towards more familiar corridors.

Felix continued forward. After he rounded the corner, he had continued to run before slowly down to a more sustainable sprint. His lungs had begun to burn and his legs was starting to hurt from the effort. But the threat behind him kept him moving.

As he rounded a corner, he spotted light ahead. An exit! He prayed it was one. His kept sprinting towards the growing light, the hall around him becoming brighter and brighter. There was a doorway ahead, the light streaming out from inside. He jogged inside, and quickly turned around, leaning his body against the large, rusted door.

It's old hinges protested as he pushed it shut, water splashing a from a small stream running through the concrete. Once closed, he gazed quickly at his surroundings, finding a rusted piece of metal, and jamming it in the handle.

"That'll be enough... I hope..." The man took a couple breaths as he turned around, and took stock of where he was. The room was large, filled with machinery, but there was no easy exit as he had hoped. Instead, above, there was a small hole in the ceiling, where the midday light streamed in and a small stream of water dripped down.

"There's no way up..." The man frantically scanned the room for anything to aid him. Old generators and other machinery filled the room, but besides that, there wasn't much else for the young man to use.

The door behind him rattled, the latch on it trying to turn, the piece of metal he'd place keeping the door from moving. Felix felt his heart begin to pound. The Beast had found him again, and that door wouldn't keep it out forever.

"Bad. Bad. Bad.." He darted to the left, stopping before a old, rusted generator. Hastefully, he shut of his phone's recording and dropped to his stomach, shimmying into the narrow space underneath. The rough concrete scraped against his body, his T-shirt, jeans, and hoodie providing little protection from the skin being scratched away. He kept going until he reached the center, pivoting his legs so they were completely underneath. Once done with that, he slowly flipped onto his back.

A bang filled the room. The human gazed past his legs, towards the metal door. He watched as when another bang sounded, the door crumpled inwards. His eyes widened in terror as more bangs sounded, the door becoming more and more damaged.

Finally, with a horrible snapping sound, the door flew open. He could see as a four legged creature walked into the room, It's clawed feet leading, followed by a pair of hooves. It moved near the middle of the room, where it paused. He could hear it sniff the air, and after a moment, turn in his direction.

"No..." He whispered out quietly, quickly reorienting himself, and scooting on his back away from the beast. The other side of this thing had very little room, but it was more welcoming than the monster behind him. He was nearly there, his arms poking out...

His leg clanged against a piece of metal, which then shifted, while he hissed in pain. A horrible crumpling sound was followed by a crash. Pain roared across his left leg as the man let loose a scream of agony, the bones in his limb being crushed under something.

Lifting his head up, he could see what had done it. The generator's supports, damaged from time and the elements, had gave way. The generator had landed on his lower leg, crushing his Fibula, Tibia, and Ankle underneath. He could vaguely feel his foot, but the pain kept him from moving it. He attempted to pull it out, only to let loose another yell. Tears began blotting his vision.

Despite this, he could see as the beast that pursued him here peeked it's head where the gap between the wall and generator was to his right. It's eyes seemingly widened, before it attempted to wedge it's body inside, closer to him.

"Damn y-you!" The man screeched out as he twisted his body towards it, gritting his teeth. His fear had given way to anger, "Just leave m-me t-to..." He voice quivered as he trailed off. The beast's ears flattened, before it withdrew. He watched it leave, some confusion entering him. "Wha-"

Suddenly, the metal on top of him became surrounded in a purple glow, a tingle passing over where his leg was underneath. The machine sifted, sending another spike of pain to the young man, but it went unnoticed as he gazed at the spectacle right in front of him.

Slowly, the generator raised in the air, hovering despite nothing lifting it. It raised just a couple feet, before floating off to his left, lowering down a few feet before the purple aura left it, dropping it to the ground with a bang. The man stared, not noticing the beast breathing heavily as the same aura left it's horn.

He did take notice when it slowly approached him. The man's breathing quickened, as he attempted to push himself away. He only made it so far, his back hitting the wall behind him while his leg drug on the floor uselessly. He tried to ignore the blood trail left in its wake.

The large creature stopped just short of his leg. It's eyes met his as they stared at each other, the purple orbs somehow containing some kind of urgency and... desperation.

It broke the stare, moving it's head towards his leg. His breathing hitched as it's snout drew closer, it's sharp teeth still visible in places. He could see how severe the wound was, despite it still being hidden from view. Pain still pulsed throughout it. Blood seeped through his pant leg in many places, the shattered bones no doubt piercing through his skin. He held his breath as it remained focused on the leg.

Instead of any violence, the creatures horn glowed in magenta light. He watched as the glow formed on his pant leg, and drew it up, the injury now being revealed. It was a grizzly sight, the flowing blood and pieces of skeleton, The young man's eyes screwed shut, his teeth gritting.

A warm feeling passed over his leg, the searing pain washing away. The man's eyes opened, looking towards his leg. The creature now dipped it's head, it's glowing horn now hovering closely over the wounds, the same glow wrapped around his leg. He watched in awe as the bones sunk back into the flesh, the holes in his skin slowly closing as well, the squishy bits being put back in place. Soon, the injury disappeared completely as the glow left completely, leaving behind only discolored skin, and the blood on the floor. The creature raised its head, it's fur glistening with sweat and panting hard.

"I..." The man was speechless. The words to question what was happening just couldn't come. He hardly understood what was happening to him.

"Thank you..." He managed out. The creature smiled, further confusing the man. It slowly walked over to his left side, which only caused the man to tense for a moment, before dropping to the floor. It's large head landed in his lap, it's chin resting on his thigh, the rest of it's large body curling behind. It looked up at him with purple eyes, one that dug at a weakness in the human's heart, and one he couldn't resist.

He brought his left hand down, resting the palm on its head, beginning to lightly stroke it through it's long mane, taking care to avoid it's long horn. The hair was surprisingly soft, it feeling smooth as he ran his fingers through it. His right hand sooned joined, his fingers scritching just behind its pointed ears. The creature melted underneath his pets, it letting loose a deep sigh of relief. Soon, it's eyes slowly closed, it drifting off to sleep if the small snores were any clue.

While he kept petting the formerly threatening monster, he whispered one word.

"What..."

Twilight snorted awake. Her head ached for a moment, before fading. Her mouth felt dry, and her fur felt moist and dirty. She was lying on her side currently, her head resting on something firm, but more mailable than the concrete or even the mattresses she'd been sleeping on.

Slowly, her eyes opened. Her vision was blurry for a few seconds, before finally focusing. The room was dim, the light above taking a orange tint. The air was noticeably warmer, and much more humid. Parts of her body ached, her horn especially.

It clicked in her mind. She sighed to herself. She'd over exerted herself magically. No wonder she felt like this. When she lifted that machine and healed him, she'd exhausted herself to where she...

She quickly lifted her head, looking towards the person, who thankfully looked to be resting. Her face heated up a bit. She'd fallen asleep on his lap! Quickly, she withdrew herself from the creature, who shifted in place and groaned, before again going silent.

She stood up, taking a moment to stretch her back, before turning and walking towards the pond. She quickly dipped her snout in the water, taking big gulps of the water. The splashing caused another groan to sound out behind her.

She gradually slowed her drinking, before lifting her head from the liquid. She sighed happily, closing her eyes and just focusing on her breathing for a moment as the warm light shone on her.

A groan, followed by a string of words unknown to the pony, came from behind her. Turning around, she saw the person shift as his eyes fluttered open. They scanned the room, freezing when they met Twilight’s.

They stared at each other for about a minute, Twilight growing steadily more nervous as the silence persisted.

“Can you understand me?” She finally said, wincing at how rough it sounded.

She noticed how the creature shifted uncomfortably, looking a little more fearful at her. The pony sighed and sat down on her haunches. She scratched her chin as she racked her brain for a solution.

Felix’s fear faded to confusion when he saw the animal sit down, looking like it was deep in thought somehow.

He continued to stare when it started scratching its chin, before its eyes lit up. It stood again, and began to approach him slowly. He felt fearful for a moment, which the creature seemingly picked up on. It stopped a short distant from his legs, before sitting down again. It started scratching something across the concrete floor with its claws, leaving gouges in the stone.

That’s not unnerving…” He mumbled. He felt a bit of sweat drip from his brow when the creature looked up at him. It quickly went back to work, and Felix sighed inwardly in relief. His eyes followed along with the things claw as it scrawled out… letters?

A sentence! Felix’s eyes widened at the realization. When it finished, it scooted back a bit before looking up at him.

Can you understand me? It wrote. It took a second for the German to decipher the meaning, but he quickly responded. “Ja… Yes I do.” He stuttered out in English. While German was his first language, he could speak English fine.

The creature made an odd noise, akin to an excited child, while its tail began to wag. It quickly moved left of the original message, again scrawling out another sentence.

Can you help me? Felix raised an eyebrow, looking back up at the creature, who looked at him with big eyes.

“What do you need help with?” He asked slowly, his accent causing the creature to tilt its head to the side. It shook its head and went back to writing.

I need help to leave this place. Felix looked unsure for a moment.

“Why do you need to leave?” He asked slowly, raising an eyebrow towards the creature. The creature scratched out a longer message this time.

I’ve been stuck down her for 4 days. I’ve been transformed into this. There’s no food down here, and the magic is weak. I've been trying to find a way out, and when I found you, I thought you could help. Felix winced slightly, but responded.

“4 days?” The purple creature nodded, “Have you eaten anything? Also what do you eat?”

I ate that sandwich you threw. It gave a head tilt, continuing, Why’d you do that? Also I’m a herbivore.

“Well… I thought you were going to… eat me?” Watching the creatures eyes widen, it began shaking its head rapidly. He continued, “So, I threw my sandwich as a distraction so I could get away. And when you started chasing me... well you saw how it ended.”

The creature, looking a little alarmed, quickly wrote. I am so sorry. If I’d known that you were scared, I wouldn’t have ran after you, and broken the door, and-

“It’s fine.” The man interrupted, offering the creature a smile, “I was acting rash. You announced yourself to me, and I ran.” The creature smiled a little. “Also, you were transformed? What were you before?”

I was, but I don’t know how exactly. I am a pony, a alicorn to be specific. Felix blinked, raising an eyebrow at the creature.

“A pony?” A nod. “Like the miniature horses?” The creature paused, before again nodding. “And you were a… Alicorn?” A final nod. “Alright, I won’t question it right now.” He paused for a moment before snapping his fingers, “Do you have a name?”

My name is Twilight Sparkle.

“Not what I was expecting…” He muttered, which caused the creature- Twilight, to raise an eyebrow. The human quickly shook his head, “No matter. It’s nice to meet you Twilight Sparkle. My name’s Felix Beckert, I’m a human.” He held out a hand, but hesitated for a moment, unsure of the gesture.

It was quickly remedied when the ‘pony’ gripped his hand with her own claw. The pad felt quite soft against his hand, the sensation being odd for the German. He’d owned many dogs growing up, and their pads had been a far cry in terms of smoothness. After giving it a shake, they released each other.

“Well... I suppose we should find the exit.” He pointed towards the 'pony', and narrowed his eyes, "I'm trusting your story, but if you try something, just know I was fencing champion in school." The 'pony' quickly nodded, and so the man slowly stood. He came up unsteadily, his left leg seeming like it could barely hold his weight. He tried to take a step, but nearly fell forward. Reacting quickly, Twilight moved beside the human, who steadied himself with a arm.

Twilight scratched out another message. Felix read the message quickly, balancing on just his right leg. I could carry you. You’re leg still needs to heal fully. My magic only healed the severe damage.

Felix read the message, before looking up at the pony, who had twisted her head to look at him. She probably could carry him. His head reached to about her snout, and she easily dwarfed him in sheer size. But the man didn’t want to be a burden to his new companion… and he wasn’t sure if he fully trusted her yet.

“I’ll be fine. I’ll be careful.” He released his grip and again tried to walk, but only toppled forward when he tried to stand on it. “Scheiße!”

He suddenly stopped before hitting the ground as his vision became tinted purple and his skin began to tingle. “What is…” He started but trailed off when he looked towards Twilight, her horn alight with a purple aura. He was lifted higher into the air, coming to a stop above the large former pony. "W-Wait I don't-" Despite the protest, he was quickly set belly down on Twilight's back. He wrapped his arms around her barrel as best he could, before looking up in annoyance. "I was alright. You don't-"

Twilight just turned her head and gave him a deadpan look. The human's mouth quickly clicked shut, a small redness forming on his face. The former pony gave a small snort and smiled.

“So… can you find the way out? I wasn’t really paying attention where I was going when… you know.” Felix spoke from behind her.

Twilight nodded, lifting a paw to her snout and giving it a few taps.

“Well… onward we go then.” Felix said sitting up, Twilight giving a small eye roll. Together, the duo set off into the darkness, beginning an adventure like no other…

“Shit… I forgot my phone.”
