Hear is what would happen if the Doodlebops had a movie!!
PLOT: A young boy named Colorgroove who was a big fan of the Doodlebops really loved their music. And when he got older around 16 years old and wished that he had the power of music and have the Doodlebops join him on an amazing adventure! Well that wish is granted after finding a music diamond! Join them as they dance, sing and also fight an evil curse. And to protect someone that Colorgroove grew a liking on.
P.S it will contain some Wiggles songs to move the story along. But pretend it's Colorgroove singing.
We begin our story as we see a theater on the screen and a 10 year old boy with a Doodlebops shirt on and a Moe wig with his father going in and showing the different memories of him with his dad as a voice narrates.
"My name is Colorgroove. Ever since I was old enough to walk on my two feet I loved dancing. I wasn't really the best at all dances. But that didn't stop my dad from teaching me the ways of learning how. See my dad made a tradition to learn different dances around the world and I liked it. My mom....well let's just say she rolled with it as she doesn't dance much like she used to."
"Dad always took me to concerts to see my favorite band and dancers: The Doodlebops. They were fun, groovy and even allowed some kids to collect some stuff they pass out. But me personal favorite was Moe. He was always fun, loud and fast. Just the way I like it. And when things couldn't be better I got some cool autographed stuff from them and wore the gear to look cool."
"During my time in elementary school I was sharing stories with my friends about how I got to witness the Doodlebops and even showed them my autographed gear I got. They were so pumped seeing it that they wished they could see them too. Lucky for them Dad and I always carried a lot of tickets to every show they plan on doing so I gave them their wish."
"As time when by my Dad started to trust me and allowed me to go with my friends to see the Doodlebops. And boy we were all having the times of our lives. Now I betcha that all of us have our favorite Doodlebop songs. Well here's the thing: we do. Now my favorite song was none other than The Wobbly Whoopsy. I know it's a silly name but that's what I like. To me and my friends we all wished the Doodlebops would live on and keep playing forever as they made many kids happy."
"Yeah. It was fun while it lasted. Until when the tickets stopped selling and the theater shut down. By the time me and my friends were all 14 years old every day we stopped by at the theater and we give our thankful thoughts to the Doodlebops for everything they did for us over the years. Then we prayed to them that wherever they are now we wish them good luck and hope to continue on."
"After when my two best friends moved away. I felt like I was alone. No one to share my stories with, no one to hang with to see the Doodlebops after the theater closed down. Yes I feel really lonely after everything we did together. But my dad insisted that I keep my head up and keep practicing what I always do best: dancing. But what I didn't know is that my life was about to change. This is where my story begins."
We cut to the present where we see Colorgroove who was wearing a leather jacket, blue pants, sunglasses and a larger Doodlebops shirt and was 16 years old and he stopped at the rundown theater and remembered all the times he used to come here.
"Hello old friends. It's been a while. Listen I was letting you know that my spirit will never go away. I always loved your concerts and your dances. Really wish you were all here so I can tell you how much I missed you. We'll talk again someday." Colorgroove replied.
He then walked off and took a walk in the park. Then suddenly he found something on the ground. He picked it up and it was a shiny diamond in the shape of a music note. He smiled and placed it in his pocket. Then he continued walking all the way home, and upon entering his house he saw his parents in the living room as if they were waiting for him.
"Hey son. Were glad your home. Did you stop at the old theater again?" His father asked.
"Yes dad. I still can't believe that place got shut down." Colorgroove replied.
"I know son. I still remember all those times I took you to see the Doodlebops and I remember the times you and your friends went. It's heartbreaking but you gotta understand son that most bands have to retire at some point." His dad said.
"Yeah honey. Not every band can play forever. At some point they will retire from music. You understand that right?" His mom asked.
"I know. I get it." Colorgroove nodded.
"Hey. Why don't you go rest up and come down when dinner is ready?" His mom offered.
Colorgroove nodded and went upstairs to his bedroom. In there it was decorated with different posters of different bands he likes. And in one drawer he opened was all the Doodlebop treasure he admired. Since he enjoyed them as a little boy he couldn't bear to rid of it. Then he reached into his pocket and took out the music diamond he found earlier and placed it on the desktop. Then he spotted a bright star in the night sky.
"Man. This is such a beautiful diamond. You know?" Colorgroove said as he closed his eyes. "I wish there was someway I can see the Doodlebops again after so many years and go on an adventure. That would be cool. Oh and maybe I would gain some very special power from this diamond." Colorgroove wished.
He finished the wish and opened his eyes seeing the star twinkle. He smiled knowing that it was a cool wish to make even if it wasn’t coming true. Then he heard his mom calling him that dinner was ready. He placed down the diamond and went downstairs.
After he left the diamond started to glow a bright rainbow color as a song began playing and after it was done a title appeared on the screen saying: My Little Pony and the Doodlebops: The Magic of Music. And thus will begin our story.
The next day Colorgroove was still sleeping in his bed til the alarm clock woke him up. He hit it turning it off and got dressed for today. Then he grabbed the diamond music note but when he looked at it he saw that it became a necklace!
"What is this? It's now a necklace? When did it become a necklace?" Colorgroove thought.
He didn't know why but decided to roll with it. So he placed the necklace on him and headed out. But what he didn't know is that the necklace started glowing. He walked down to the park where he saw many kids playing but decided to keep on going. Then as he stretched his arm his hand glowed a rainbow color and blasted something and opened a portal! He stood in shock seeing it!
"Holy Mother of Megazon!!" Colorgroove shouted. "What is that?! When did a portal appear out of nowhere just now?!"
Then the portal started getting stronger and Colorgroove tried getting out of it but the wind was too strong and pulled him in and he screamed in the portal til he reached the light on the other end.
The portal reopened and Colorgroove came out and landed on the ground. Then he hit his head on a tree and something orange went in his hair. He was groaning in pain. As he got up he looked around seeing the new surroundings in front of him. He appeared to be in a forest.
"Ow man. Where am i?" Colorgroove asked. "I better look around."
So he walked out of the forest and into the opening. Once he was he saw a village and a nice one at that. But what he saw was not people but anthro ponies walking around and enjoying their day.
"Okay? I'm in a place where I see ponies. Keep going man. Keep going." Colorgroove said to himself.
He kept on walking til suddenly he bumped into someone. They both fell down and Colorgroove who recovered saw who he bumped into. It was a unicorn mare who had a cream white coat, and shoulder length, sapphire and light blue hair. She was almost as tall as he was. She wore dark blue short-shorts, which left nothing to the imagination, and a tiny white tank top, which he thought looked at least one, maybe two sizes too small for her. He couldn’t see her eyes, as they were hidden behind a pair of stylish dark purple shades, and over her ears, she wore a pair of headphones. Only one pony in Ponyville wore shades and headphones like that. The popular and highly outgoing party pony and DJ, DJ Pon-3, or known by her true name, Vinyl Scratch. He immediately gasped and went to her.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry miss! I didn't see you there! Are you alright?" Colorgroove asked as he helped her up.
"Yeah I'm ok. I really should pay attention and take my headphones off but.." She said but stopped as she stared at him.
"Who are you? I don't think I've seen you around." She asked.
"You can definitely say that. I'm Colorgroove. But I have no idea where I am right now." He introduced.
"Well nice to meet you Colorgroove. I'm DJ Pon-3. But you can call me Vinyl Scratch." She said.
"Vinyl Scratch huh? Nice name. It totally fits you. I actually listen to a lot of music myself. But I haven't have the slightest clue where I am." Colorgroove said.
"You're in Equestria. More specifically Ponyville. I was actually on my way to meet Twilight and her friends for a surprise were planning for Fluttershy. It's her birthday today." Vinyl explained.
"Ok good to know. And who's Twilight? And Fluttershy?" Colorgroove asked.
"I take it you never seen them have you?" Vinyl asked as Colorgroove nodded no which gave her the answer. "No worries. You stick with me and I'll introduce you to them."
"Well considering I will be here for awhile I say I don't have any other option. Alright let's go meet your friends." Colorgroove responded.
"Great! Come on Colorgroove!" Vinyl said in excitement.
"Oh and um Vinyl? If it's ok maybe I can help figure out what surprise we plan for this Fluttershy." Colorgroove suggested.
"Sure you can. It be nice of you to help us plan something special for Fluttershy. Now come along man you'll love my friends." Vinyl said.
Colorgroove didn't want to be rude so he followed where Vinyl is going. The two were still walking til they saw a castle in the shape of a tree covered in purple crystals. When Colorgroove saw it he was staring at it in awe knowing it was a beautiful sight.
"Would you look at that? A castle in the shape of a tree. That's something you don't see everyday. It looks amazing!" Colorgroove commented.
"I'm like your loving the view. But wait til you see the inside and fun fact one of my friends who happens to be a princess lives in there." Vinyl said.
"A princess you say? Now that is something I wish to see." Colorgroove smiled.
"Well let's go in." Vinyl said as she opened the door.
She allowed Colorgroove to go in first and Vinyl closed the door and walked with him. Then they arrived at a room and saw five other ponies and a dragon were discussing something. They too were anthro ponies and when they saw Colorgroove with Vinyl they stood in shock seeing a human. This made him a little uncomfortable.
"Oh please don't scream." Colorgroove thought to himself.
Chapter 3: Meeting the Girls, A Surprise and Working on Fluttershy's Present
The girls continued staring at Colorgroove in shock and he too was a bit nervous. Since he never seen more talking ponies before in his life. Then the purple one spoke.
"Um Vinyl? Who is that guy?" She asked.
"Now Twilight. This is Colorgroove. He means no harm and wanted to meet you." Vinyl explained.
"It's true. So please don't scream." Colorgroove said.
"Don't worry we ain't like that. It's nice to meet you Colorgroove. I'm Twilight Sparkle. And these are my friends. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity. Fluttershy is in Cloudsdale for the moment visiting her family for her birthday right now." She introduced.
"Oh. You don't say. Well I was wondering if maybe I could help out with the surprise for her birthday." Colorgroove offered.
"Sure you can. Now we don't want anything too big for her. We just want to think of something really nice for her since she is our friend."
"And darling? That is a nice necklace you have on." Rarity commented.
"Thanks. Anywho we need ideas for Fluttershy's present." Colorgroove said.
"You could always make her a nice garden." A voice offered.
"Huh? Who the heck said that?" Colorgroove asked looking around.
He looked for a while but couldn't find who said that. But what he didn't know is that the being was on his head!
"It almost sounded like it was above my head." Colorgroove replied.
"Yeah. But where though?" Vinyl asked.
Then Colorgroove looked up and the being on his head fell down and landed on the floor. Then coming up was someone that has red hair, orange skin p, wearing a purple vest, red striped pants, orange shoes, and a shirt will a drum on it. It was Moe!
"TADA!! Here I am!!" Moe said.
"Moe?! Moe Doodle?!" Colorgroove said in shock.
"The one and only!!" Moe smiled.
"You weren't above my head. You were ON my head! Nice hiding place Moe!" Colorgroove replied.
"Do you know him?" Twilight asked.
"Know him? Of course I do! But where's Deedee and Rooney? Aren't they looking for you Moe?" Colorgroove asked.
"Oh they did earlier at the clubhouse. Then Rooney was testing out his latest invention. The Portal Blaster. Then all of a sudden the portal took us here and got me separated from them." Moe explained.
"That would explain it." Colorgroove said and suddenly they heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it!"
He walked over to the door and when he opened it he got a huge surprise! Standing in front of him was a girl with pink hair and purple clothes with piano notes. The other was blue and the same color clothes with guitar notes. They were Deedee and Rooney. Colorgroove got so happy he allowed them in and once more he easily recognized the group in front of him.
"Oh my goodness! It's the Doodlebops!! The greatest kids band ever!" Colorgroove beamed.
"Ok Colorgroove. Can you tell us how you know them?" Rarity asked.
"Well. I know them because my dad would always took me to concerts to see them when I was a boy. Yeah I went to lots of their shows. But when the tickets stopped selling the theater shut down. And every day I go there and pray for the Doodlebops to see how their doing." Colorgroove explained.
The girls took time to process everything that Colorgroove said.
"Ok. So you were a huge fan of them when you were a little boy." Twilight replied.
"Yes." Colorgroove said as he faced the Doodlebops. "Guys. It has been years since I last saw you. You have no idea how happy this makes me seeing you again. All the good memories come flooding back."
"It's nice that a fan of ours still remembers us. Anyways we were looking everywhere Moe. Where were you?" Rooney asked.
"I don't know. I ended up all small in the forest til Colorgroove found me in the castle. Then I overheard that today is Fluttershy's birthday! And these girls wanna get her a special present." Moe explained.
"Yes. It's her special day and we really want to make her party the best." Rarity said.
"With lots of balloons, cakes, presents and streamers!!!" Pinkie cheered.
"Well we can go get a cake for her. At Sugarcube Corner. They have lots of sweets there." Twilight suggested.
"That's a great idea! But what about her present?" Vinyl asked.
"Maybe I can head over to where Fluttershy lives and maybe clean up the place a bit and try to think of a present to get her." Colorgroove suggested.
"That would be a big help. Alright. Colorgroove will go to her cottage and tidy up, while we and the Doodlebops get her a cake. Let's go." Applejack declared.
So everyone headed out of the door and Colorgroove saw the group head for Sugarcube Corner. He was about to go to Fluttershy's cottage but there was one problem: he didn't know where it was.
"How am I supposed to get to her place if I don't know where it is?" Colorgroove asked.
Then suddenly his necklace glowed and Colorgroove saw his hands glow and this time when some magic came out it formed into a surfboard with a music note on it. He picked it up and got on it.
"Cool surfboard. But how am I suppose to use it?" Colorgroove wondered.
Then he got his answer as it started floating in the air and then it slowly started moving and Colorgroove kept his balance. Then it started going faster and Colorgroove hanged on tight and surfed through the sky! He then started laughing.
"WOW!! This is actually pretty fun!! Yeah surfs up dude!" Colorgroove shouted.
He kept on surfing til he saw a cottage close to the Everfree Forest. He knew that might be the place he was looking for. So he surfed down and landed on the ground as he jumped off the board and turned into magic and back in his necklace. He then knocked on the door and when it opened he saw a bear in front of him.
"Whoa. Hey big guy. Look I don't mean any trouble but I was wondering if I can come in and clean up a little and think of a present for Fluttershy. I heard that today is her birthday." Colorgroove said.
The bear instantly knew that he was right. So he allowed Colorgroove inside and he got started on cleaning up her cottage. But he had to be careful since she had a lot of animals in here and he really didn't want to hurt them. After a couple of minutes he got finished and went outside in her backyard. But when he got there it was a mess!!
"My goodness! Look at this mess! Fluttershy definitely doesn't want any of her animals living in this! I wish I could make a nice garden paradise for her animals." Colorgroove replied. Then suddenly he had an idea.
"Wait a minute. That's it! I'll transform this messy backyard into a wonderful garden/swimming park for her animals! That oughta be a great birthday present!" Colorgroove smiled. "Now let's get gardening!"
So for the next two hours he was fixing up Fluttershy's backyard. First thing he did was mow all that tall grass away, then he picked all the weeds, next he grabbed a few flower seeds and planted them in the dirt, then he decided to let some water in a hole he dug and it filled it up, and finally he made a few stands and chairs for the animals to go to and to relax.
Colorgroove wiped off the sweat on his face and rested in the shade.
"Whew! So far it's looking good! But something is missing. I need something to get this garden paradise to look beautiful. But what?" Colorgroove said.
He then saw a special seed next to him. It was quite bigger than all the others and had a pink and purple swirl on it. He grabbed it and examined the seed.
"Hmm. That's rare. Maybe I can plant this somewhere. Like where that waterfall is." He said looking at the waterfall that's connected to the pool.
If planting that seed would help then he had too try. So he planted the seed and gave it some water. Then when the sun shined in not only was the seed giving sun but Colorgroove's necklace glowed again and some magic went in the spot where the seed is. Then suddenly it slowly started coming out of the ground and when it bloomed into a pink and purple flower some music began playing and the magic started.
As soon as the flower began moving to the music Colorgroove saw the water turn to a sky blue and started sparkling. Then he couldn't believe his eyes as he saw other things happening as some of the water absorbed in the dirt. The other seeds bloomed into bright colorful flowers, some leaves and vines wrapped around the stands and chairs so it will blend in well, a sweet earthy hot tub sprouted out of the ground, and he even saw one of the trees morph into a funny looking treehouse. The animals saw the magic that was happening and went outside. And finally he saw many birds, butterflies and other insects join in and thus ended the music and Colorgroove admired his work.
"Oh. My. Goodness. Would you look at this garden! It's beautiful!! And it's even better than I thought! Oh Fluttershy is gonna love this! And guys?" Colorgroove said as he turned to the animals. "I hereby welcome you all to your own garden paradise!"
The animals cheered as they went to go enjoy the fun. Now all that Colorgroove has to do is wait for the others to get here. Then he whistled and three butterflies came to him.
"Listen my little friends. Fly to where you see Fluttershy and her friends. Tell them that her birthday surprise is ready." Colorgroove replied.
They nodded and flew to find Fluttershy. She will be so surprised when she sees this.
Back with Twilight, The Doodlebops and their friends they were with Fluttershy walking back to her cottage as they were getting to know each other and also share some different stories. Moe was carrying a cake they got. It was a pink frosted strawberry cake.
"So you three are a kids band? And you had some crazy things happening before your shows?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yes Fluttershy. There was one time where I made a wish where I can make anything pink. It was fun at first but then I realized that you can't have too much of a good thing." Deedee answered.
"Wow! I like the color pink too!" Pinkie smiled.
"Sounds like you and Pinkie both share the same favorite color." Rooney said.
"I guess we do. But do you think Colorgroove managed to think of something for Fluttershy while we went to get the cake?" Deedee asked.
"I hope he did. I really don't want Fluttershy feeling upset on her birthday." Rainbow hoped.
"Girls. You don't have to do anything special. The fact that you were all spending time with me on my birthday is more than enough happiness to me." Fluttershy assured.
"Fluttershy darling we insisted that we plan a special present for you. So our new friend Colorgroove has hopefully got you something." Rarity said.
"When we get back to your cottage I'll introduce you to him." Vinyl replied.
Then they see three butterflies coming towards them and they stopped in front of Fluttershy. She smiled seeing them.
"Oh hello little butterflies. What brings you here?" Fluttershy asked.
One of the butterflies came to her ear and said something. When Fluttershy got the message she nodded and proceed to speak.
"There's a surprise waiting for me back home? From Colorgroove? Well thank you for telling me." Fluttershy smiled as the butterflies flew off back to the cottage. The Doodlebops saw what happened and were surprised.
"She can understand what the butterflies said?" Rooney asked.
“That there’s our Fluttershy, Rooney,” Applejack responded, “She understands all kinds of critters large and small.”
"Wow. Then she must have lots of animals. Let's get to the cottage! I wanna see what animals you have!" Moe replied.
So the gang all kept walking and after a few minutes they all finally arrived at her cottage. But when they all went inside it was all clean but too quiet. Reason why is because the animals were not there.
"Uh girls? Where are my animal friends? I thought they were still inside." Fluttershy asked.
"Did Colorgroove kick out all of Fluttershy's animals?! That's not nice! Come on everyone! Look around the cottage and see where we can find them." Twilight said.
So everyone looked around the cottage to find Fluttershy's animals. They searched high, they searched low, they searched everything and everywhere. But no one knew where her animals are. When Fluttershy couldn't find them she decided to go in the backyard to get some air. But then she got a HUGE surprise when she opened the door. She gasped seeing the garden and she saw all the animals relaxing and enjoying their paradise. Even her bunny Angel was in a floaty wearing sunglasses and relaxing in the pool.
"Oh my! My garden!!" Fluttershy squealed.
"Fluttershy! What happened?! Did Colorgroove mess up your garden?!" Twilight worried.
"No! It's beautiful! And I see my animal friends there! He didn't kick them out! Come see!" Fluttershy replied.
The girls and the Doodlebops went to her backyard and they got the same reaction when seeing the garden. They see many colorful flowers, a pool and hot tub of beautiful sparkling sky blue water, A crazy looking treehouse that the monkeys were hanging out in, and all the other animals resting and relaxing enjoying the sunshine.
"Wowie! This is an amazing garden! But where's Colorgroove?" Pinkie asked.
"I'm right here girls."
They turned and saw Colorgroove relaxing on a chair enjoying a drink and has sunglasses on too.
"Dude! Did you make all this? It's incredible!" Vinyl asked.
"I sure did. And funny thing is that for some reason all it took was a little music magic." Colorgroove answered.
"Music magic? What are you talking about?" Twilight asked.
"Funny story. At first I didn't know where Fluttershy's cottage is at first til suddenly my necklace glowed and summoned a surfboard and I was surfing in the sky! Then I came to Fluttershy's cottage and cleaned it up and when I went to Fluttershy's backyard it was a mess! Then it hit me. I decided to create a garden paradise for all her animals and sure enough I did a little gardening and when a planted that rare seed and gave it water my necklace glowed again and magic absorbed into the flower and next thing I knew the magic spread across the garden and made this. Oh and all the animals decided to join the fun." Colorgroove explained.
"Wow! That sounds awesome! Using magic to create a garden like this! Nice!" Moe smiled.
"Wait. Did you say your necklace glowed and that's what caused you to make this garden?" Twilight asked.
"I know it sounds crazy but it's true. Oh and Fluttershy? This is your birthday present that I made for you." Colorgroove answered.
"Colorgroove. So that's what your present to her is. That was so nice of you." Vinyl smiled.
"Yes. And the way I see it. All the flowers, the pool, the treehouse for the monkeys, and the hot tub. This is possibly the best present anyone has ever given me. Thank you." Fluttershy said as she hugged him.
"You're welcome." Colorgroove said.
"Hey. You know what? Seeing all these colorful flowers makes me wanna sing that color song." Deedee said.
"Me too. Hey Fluttershy? Wanna hear us sing you a song for your birthday? It's about everyone's favorite colors!" Rooney offered.
"Oh I would love to hear it!" Fluttershy accepted.
So Colorgroove tried conjuring a ball of rainbow light with music notes coming out and made it float to the flower and once it did music began playing and the Doodlebops started singing and doing their rainbow dance. But when they did the girls noticed two things. One, that Colorgroove was using magic and two the flowers were sprouting out root legs and got faces and were also singing and dancing!
(At 1:20 pretend that Colorgroove is singing and at 1:42 will finish the song)
First it was Deedee and some pink flowers singing the first set of lyrics. Pinkie bounced and joined in the fun. Eventually the others decided to dance along. Next Rooney took the lead and sand the second set of lyrics with some blue flowers. Then Moe finished the second verse and then Colorgroove took over.
COLORGROOVE: I'm thinking about the roses you take on a date
RED FLOWERS: He's thinking about red, he thinking about red
COLORGROOVE: And I'm thinking about the apples that Applejack doesn't hate
RED FLOWERS: He's thinking about red
Then Moe sang his final lines and the Doodlebops all sang the final set of lyrics and posed ending the song and the flowers returned to normal. The girls clapped and cheered for a wonderful song.
"Wow! That was stupendous! And with all those flowers dancing and singing made it better!" Pinkie smiled.
"But how did you make those flowers dance?!" Twilight asked.
"Honestly I don't know." Colorgroove said. But then he remembered something back home. When he made that wish. "Wait. I remember now! I made a wish back home that I would be granted with the power of music AND for me to join the Doodlebops on an adventure! That's why all this happened!"
"So you made a wish to have the power of music and now you do?" Twilight asked.
"Yep. I just can't believe I didn't notice it. Until now." Colorgroove replied.
"Well that's a cool wish you made. And we're glad that you used that power wisely to make Fluttershy her garden. But remember not to go crazy with it." Rooney reminded him.
"You got that right. I'll make sure to not go nuts with the power. Now the only trouble is I don't know where I'll be staying since I'm new here." Colorgroove thought.
"Well since you were able to give Fluttershy a wonderful present why don't you and the Doodlebops come stay with me? You seem nice and you definitely proved that you are not evil." Vinyl asked.
"I would love to stay with you Vinyl. Besides I think your cute and cool. A great combination." Colorgroove answered.
She blushed a little but smiled that Colorgroove is more than willing to stay with her. The Doodlebops smiled seeing this and they giggled a little.
"I think I sense a little love motion coming on." Rooney said slyly.
"Were just friends Rooney. But I'm willing to stay with her." Colorgroove replied.
"And Vinyl? Since Colorgroove will be staying with you can you make sure that he doesn't do anything that can cause harm to our home since he used magic?" Twilight asked.
"Sure. But you have nothing to worry about Twilight. If he used magic to create A garden like this then I say he's not gonna cause harm. He's okay in my book." Vinyl answered.
"I agree with Vinyl. And Colorgroove? Thank you for this garden. You made this the best birthday I ever had." Fluttershy smiled.
He smiled and then everyone except Fluttershy left the cottage and went to their respective homes. But for Colorgroove and the Doodlebops they were going to live with Vinyl and to him it was the beginning of a new start. But will have to learn what other powers he has. Especially when later on he faces something that could threaten him.
With Colorgroove and The Doodlebops they were following Vinyl to her place since they will be staying with her. They all arrived at Vinyl’s house and it was not a bad place to be living in.
"Pretty nice place you have here. So is it just you that lives here?" Colorgroove asked.
"No. My roommate Octavia lives here too. But she's currently at Canterlot preparing for the upcoming Canterlot Symphony Sea. It's a special event that happens with the orchestra." Vinyl answered.
"That sounds cool. We are always wanting to try out new styles of music. Reason why is because we like playing rock and roll but sometimes it's fun to switch it up." Rooney said.
"I'm glad to hear that. Well make yourselves at home. I'm gonna get dinner ready." Vinyl said as she went in the kitchen.
Colorgroove and The Doodlebops all sat on the couch. But when Moe sat down he felt something hard on his seat.
"Ahh! What's this?" Moe asked pulling out a book.
"Looks like a book to me." Colorgroove said taking the book.
"It's got rainbow music notes on the front. What's it called?" Moe wondered.
"According to the book it's called 'The Legend of the Musical Hero'." Colorgroove said.
"Good title." Moe smiled.
"Interesting. So what's it about?" Rooney asked.
"Well the plot is that it's about a young boy who loved dancing found this beautiful diamond while on a walk. But what he didn't know is that it was a magic diamond. And once he wore it the diamond granted him the power of a million songs and dances. And as time went by he learned how to control it. But then suddenly there was also an evil curse that had to be vanquished." Colorgroove started.
"A curse? What curse?" Deedee asked.
"Glad you asked." Colorgroove said flipping to the page with a pair of purple tap dancing shoes. "The other day at a shoe store the owner found these mysterious beautiful purple shoes and placed them on sale. Then a young girl came by and saw the shoes. She bought them and placed them on her feet. But what she didn't know is that they are cursed shoes. And they casted a spell on her which made her dance and dance and power up an evil energy dragon and never stops."
"Never?" Rooney asked.
"Never." Colorgroove answered.
"Never ever?" Moe asked as well.
"Never ever EVER." Colorgroove answered.
"Oh boy. That's a lot of dancing and also quite an evil curse." Moe exclaimed.
"You bet. And there's more. When the boy realized that she was wearing the cursed shoes he needed to get those off her feet. But with the evil energy dragon all powered up he needed another plan. The only way to vanquish that curse is to destroy the dragon's chest, free it's host and played some really loud rock and roll music to destroy the shoes." Colorgroove finished closing the book.
"Wow. That's quite a story. If it was a real curse then it be the villain for The Doodlebop Superheroes to defeat." Rooney said.
"And I certainly don't wanna repeat like what happened with the Red Shoes." Deedee replied.
"Agreed on that Deedee. I seen that episode and your brothers had to do everything they can to get you to take them off." Colorgroove nodded.
They all agreed on that and then suddenly some magic secretly snuck in and formed a package. When the magic faded away there lies a package on Vinyl's desktop.
"Did you guys hear something?" Colorgroove asked.
"Look." Moe said pointing at the package. They were certainly all surprised seeing a package on the desktop when it wasn't there before.
"Where on earth did that come from?" Colorgroove wondered.
"Never mind that. Who's it for?" Moe asked.
Rooney picked up the package and read the name on it.
"Twilight Sparkle." Rooney said.
"Twilight got a package? But I thought that the mail ponies here would deliver the mail. Not magically appear out of nowhere." Colorgroove thought. "This is weird."
"Yeah. And there's no stamp on it. I wonder what's wrong." Rooney wondered.
"Beats me Rooney. Lemme go drop off Twilight's package." Colorgroove said.
He took the package and headed out. He summoned his surfboard and got on and air surfed all the way to Twilight's castle. He knocked on the door and Spike answered it taking the package. He thanked Colorgroove and he air surfed back to Vinyl's house.
"Ok. I don't know how that package got there but I ain't asking questions." Colorgroove replied.
"Um Colorgroove? Isn't it kinda weird that you happen to be wearing the same music diamond that's from the story? Cause I'm getting a feeling that the story is coming to life." Rooney asked.
"It is a little. But I'm sure it's something that Twilight needs for another one of her potions. No biggie." Colorgroove assured.
Rooney didn't know if the story was coming to life or if he was imagining it but he decided to roll with it as he and the gang headed in the kitchen for dinner.
The next day Colorgroove, Vinyl and the Doodlebops were heading to Rarity's shop. He didn't why they were going there so Colorgroove needed to know why.
"Hey Vinyl? Why are we heading to Rarity's shop? My clothes aren't torn or anything." Colorgroove asked.
"Oh no it's not that. I was suggesting that we get you a style that suits you better. Nothing wrong with your leather jacket and pants but I'm thinking a groovy outfit would work with you better." Vinyl explained.
"Oh like a different look huh? Ok I get. Well my jacket was getting a bit stale so I guess a different look would be better." Colorgroove admitted.
"You know that reminded me of the time we all tried different looks. I was hard rock, Rooney was hip hop, and Deedee was country." Moe added.
"No kidding. That sounded like fun." Colorgroove smiled.
They continued walking til they all came closer and when it finally came into view it looked like what they'd expected it to be, a building shaped like a carousel, although it was what he'd expected it to be he was still puzzled by it.
"Geez, I never thought that her shop would be in the form of a carousel." Colorgroove said.
They laughed and headed inside. In there was all sorts of different outfits to try on. But for right now there wasn't one that interested him to wear. Then coming downstairs was Rarity and she was excited to see Vinyl here.
"Vinyl! I'm glad you came here. Is there anything I can help you with?" Rarity asked.
"Yes. I was wondering if you can make Colorgroove a jazzy outfit for him to wear? Like a ostentatious affair complete with a cape and a humongous belt with eagle-hanging conchos? I think he look handsome in that." Vinyl said blushing.
"Ooh. So you wanna get his attention do you?" Rarity smirked. "Well I can certainly do that. Just give me two hours and I will have this all ready."
Rarity went upstairs to prepare her work. And then Vinyl came to Colorgroove.
"Hey. I talked to Rarity and she'll have an outfit ready for you in two hours. We'll just hang here til then." Vinyl said.
"Ok Vinyl. That works for me." Colorgroove nodded.
So they all sat down and Colorgroove used his powers to summon everyone some headphones so they can listen to some music. Then after an hour they see a group of ponies entering and Colorgroove was the first one to greet them. Two of them were stallions and the other two were mares.
"Oh hi there. If you happen to be looking for Rarity she's a little busy right now on something." Colorgroove said.
"Man. That stinks. We were really hoping she wasn't too busy. We need some new outfits for our latest music video. We are the Fab Four. Names are Dancer, Dubstep, Moonwalk, and Groover." He introduced.
"Oh well nice to meet you. Maybe I can help you out. What kind of outfits are you looking for?" Colorgroove asked.
"Well each of us likes a different style of music. Me for example I like some rock and roll music. So I was hoping I can find an outfit that fits the rock and roll type." Dancer answered.
"Rock and roll you say? Well maybe I can make you one." Colorgroove offered.
Then his necklace glowed and he conjured a ball of red music energy and placed it in Dancer's chest. Then the magic glowed around him and when it died down he was wearing a cool rock and roll outfit. He had on a sleeveless leather jacket, A red shirt with a guitar on it, black pants with a chain and black boots. Also his hair was in a Mohawk dyed in the colors of flames.
"Wow! Now THAT is definitely rock and roll material!" Dancer smiled.
"You look like a rockstar! I love the look!" Moe said.
"Thanks mister!" Dancer replied.
"Alright. Who's next? Who wants a cool musical look from Colorgroove?" He asked.
"Oh do me man! I love hearing some hip hop! So any chance you can make me have on a hip hop outfit?" Dubstep asked.
"Sure!" Colorgroove said. He then conjured a ball of purple music energy and placed it in his chest. After the magic faded he was now wearing a purple shirt with graffiti design, gold chains on his neck, gangster glasses, A purple cap backwards and holey pants with dope kicks.
"Oh yeah peeps! I feel funky fresh now!" Dubstep said.
"Ok darling. Do me. I have always enjoyed country music. So can you make me a cowgirl outfit?" Groover asked.
"You got partner!" Colorgroove replied. He now conjured a ball of orange music energy and placed it in her chest. When they magic died down she now had on a cowgirl vest, a cowgirl hat and boots, pink pants and cowgirl pads on her arms.
"Yeehaw!!! I reckon you found me a rootin tootin good outfit!" Groover said as a cowgirl.
"Ok I'm last. Colorgroove. I love listening to disco music. So can you try to make me a disco outfit?" Moonwalk asked.
"I gotcha covered little lady!" Colorgroove said. He summoned the last ball which is full of blue music energy and placed it in her chest. Once it finished transforming her she had on A groovy blue shirt with iconic white boots, hoop earrings, and printed shift dress.
"Wow! I look cool! Thanks Colorgroove!" Moonwalk smiled.
"You know what? Seeing you all in those different looks makes me wanna sing a song! And we'll do a dance called the 4-Style!" Moe said.
"That's exactly what were thinking! Let's do it!" Dancer smiled.
So Colorgroove blasted some rainbow energy at the light and once it hit it the music started playing and the Doodlebops and Colorgroove started singing.
They were all dancing and singing about how it's fun to use your imagination and trying new looks. And on some cuts we see Colorgroove dancing with The Fab Four. First they started by digging their heels, then they scratched the record, next they shook their hair, and finally then spun around and posed then repeated the process. Vinyl couldn't deny that this tune was quite catchy and joined in the fun. After the song ended they all posed. And suddenly to their surprise the magic formed into a tape and landed in Moonwalk's hands.
"Wow. That was a great song! And did it secretly record everything we did?" Moonwalk asked.
"I guess it did. Looks like my magic has more than more ability. It's so crazy and fun that I probably want to keep it. The magic I mean." Colorgroove answered.
"Well thanks again man. And you guys?" Groover said and looked at the Doodlebops. "Thanks for the song."
The four left as Colorgroove and The Doodlebops waved goodbye. Then they all sat back down and continued waiting for Rarity. Another hour passed and she came down with the outfit all ready.
"Ok darling. I have your outfit done." Rarity said.
"Thanks Rarity. Now let's see how this looks on me." Colorgroove smiled.
Then he spun around and around til the clothes came on him and took off his old ones. He was now wearing a jumpsuit with some rainbow stripes, rubies on the collar and complete with a red cape and a humongous belt with eagle-hanging conchos on the pants. He even switched out his old sunglasses with some better cool looking shades. Everyone saw the outfit and were in awe.
"Dude! You are so good looking!" Vinyl said.
"Wow! You look better than before! That look really fits you!" Deedee complimented.
"Thanks guys. I think so too. Now is there anything else that we should do today?" Colorgroove asked.
"Well I did mention that Octavia was preparing for the upcoming Canterlot Symphony Sea. And Twilight happens to be in charge of it. Why don't we head there and see how everything is going?" Vinyl suggested.
"Great idea! We'll head down to the train station and make our way there!" Rarity said.
"That won't be necessary Rares. Besides I have a better idea to get there." Colorgroove replied.
He used his magic to summon his surfboard. But then he realized the others with him. So he decided to clone it and out appeared five other surfboards with their respective colors and symbols. Rarity grabbed the white one, Vinyl got the sapphire one, Deedee got the pink one, Rooney had the blue one and Moe got the orange one. Then they all headed outside and stepped on them.
"How's a surfboard going to get us there?" Rarity asked.
"You'll see. Watch." Colorgroove said.
He focused on the board and it started floating in the air and then the same thing happened with the others. Everyone had to keep their balance on it and were surprised. But not more than Vinyl.
"So you're saying were gonna air surf to Canterlot? That's is the most wicked idea yet! I love it!" Vinyl smiled.
"I thought you would Vinyl!" Colorgroove agreed.
"Wow! This is awesome! I always wanted to try air surfing!" Moe beamed.
"Well now you're gonna get the chance to try it out! Canterlot! Here we come!!" Colorgroove declared.
And so everyone slowly started moving and went faster and headed straight to Canterlot! What will Colorgroove do now once at Canterlot? And will he get suspicious of Twilight's shoes that may be similar to the ones that were in the story?
With Twilight and her other friends they were all on the train heading to Canterlot. Reason why is because they are wanting to see how things are going with The Canterlot Symphony Sea. But as they were traveling they keep hearing some tapping sounds. Applejack looked under the table and saw her feet wearing some purple shoes and moving.
"Twi. Can't you stop dancing?" Applejack asked.
"I'm not dancing." Twilight denied.
"Then how come your feet are?" Applejack asked again.
She looked down and Twilight saw that her feet were indeed moving.
"Oh yeah. I don't know. They just kept on dancing ever since I placed these shoes on. They're quite nice." Twilight answered.
Applejack decided to roll with it and the train continued onward to Canterlot. Sure enough after an hour they all arrived. They all got off the train and looked around. As Twilight looked around, everything looked absolutely perfect. She strolls toward the orchestra, where the various musicians talked amongst each other. Among the orchestra is one of the most well-known cellists in the group: Octavia Melody.
“Good morning, every pony,” Twilight greeted.
“Good morning, Princess Twilight,” The musicians answered, in unison.
“How are things going?”
“Just about to practice promptly,” Octavia smiled, with a lovely British accent.
"Although Miss Twilight? Why are you dancing when no music is playing? You feeling well or are you under a magic spell?" A mare named Beauty Brass asked.
"I'm feeling fine. Besides I think I like dancing in my new shoes." Twilight said.
"Hey girls? Where's Rarity, Vinyl and Colorgroove? Aren't they supposed to come here to help us?" Fluttershy wondered.
"Yeah. Where are they?" Pinkie agreed.
"Right here my dear!!" A voice said
They turned and saw Rarity, Vinyl, Colorgroove and The Doodlebops all riding in the air on their surfboards. They got close enough to the girls and Colorgroove jumped off and his board disappeared. They the others jumped off and their boards disappeared too.
"Well I'll be! Were you air surfing here?" Applejack asked.
"And did you get a new look? That is an awesome outfit your wearing!" Rainbow replied.
"You betcha! Vinyl loved the feeling of the breeze in the air. And yes. I thought a different look would be nice to have." Colorgroove said as he spotted Octavia. "Well. You must be Octavia. Vinyl told me all about you."
"She did? Well I certainly am grateful to meet you. We are practicing for the special concert tonight and we have our music sheets ready but I don't know if the instruments are ready." Octavia worried.
"That won't be a problem. Since I've have the power of music maybe I can see how to get the instruments ready." Colorgroove suggested.
So using his powers he magically got out a baton and once he waved it in the air a ball of rainbow light came and hit every instrument and they floated above the ground. Everyone gasped in surprise seeing that. He then went on the podium and prepared himself.
"Alright now I'll conduct something and sing a tune. Just to make sure that everything is ready." Colorgroove said.
And like that he waved his arms and swung his baton. Then music played and he sang.
As he sang he also danced while swinging his baton. Twilight was still dancing but Rooney got a little suspicious of those shoes she's wearing. The instruments were all playing wonderful and even the musicians decided to sing too! When the song ended he posed and the instruments came floating down and all the musicians grabbed their right ones and Colorgroove got off the podium.
"Wow! First you used music to make Fluttershy a beautiful garden, then you made surfboards for us so we didn't have to take the train, and now you conducted an orchestra without the musicians playing the instruments! Is there anything you can't do?!" Vinyl squealed.
"Probably not Vinyl. Although Twilight? Why are you still dancing? The song's over." Colorgroove said.
"I know. I don't wanna stop. These shoes are so nice and I love dancing in them." Twilight said as she left the group and went to prepare. While dancing.
"Uh Colorgroove? Can I have a word will you?" Rooney asked.
"Yeah. What's going on?" Colorgroove said.
"Do you think that those shoes she was wearing were familiar?" Rooney asked.
Colorgroove took some time to think about what he said. "Now that you mentioned it yeah. Those shoes are purple and they were familiar to the ones in the story."
"Wait. Colorgroove. You don't think that Twilight is wearing the cursed shoes like in the story?" Moe asked.
"Those did look similar to the story. But I'm not sure just yet. I tell you what. You guys keep an eye on Twilight and lemme know if these shoes really are the same cursed ones from the story." Colorgroove suggested.
"Good idea. But let's prepare for the concert." Deedee agreed.
Soon everyone agreed and they helped finished preparing for the upcoming Canterlot Symphony Sea.
Night came in and we see all the ponies in their seats. Even the guests of honor also known as Celestia and Luna were in their seats too. Then on stage, Colorgroove appears before the audience, who applauds as he walked toward the center of the stage. He was the host and narrator of the concert for tonight. After bowing once or twice, he picks up a microphone and introduces the first number.
"Ladies and gentlemen. We like to welcome you all here tonight for Canterlot's first ever Symphony Sea. And tonight you will witness the birth of a new magic that's been discovered by me. Safe, and fun magic for everyone. So without further ado let's start off with the can can." Colorgroove replied.
Using his magic he once more got out his baton and the same ball of rainbow light hit every instrument and they floated above the ground. Everyone gasped in surprise seeing that. He then conducted the orchestra and they started playing.
As the music was playing rainbow music notes came out of each instrument and floated above the audience. Then to everyone's surprise the music notes danced! Soon everyone decided to join in the fun too! Then after the music ended the notes disappeared and everyone clapped for that as Colorgroove bowed.
"Thank you everyone. But we ain't done. Now ladies and gentlemen. For this next song I wish for all of you to take your partners." Colorgroove said as everyone did what he said. "Wonderful. Now were all gonna dance as the music plays from a famous composer named Johann Strauss II. It's time for the Tales of the Vienna Woods."
Turned back to the instruments and conducted again.
As he played the music the rainbow music notes came out and started forming a vision of them being in the woods and waltzing away. They simply were enjoying the lovely tune and after it finished the woods disappear and everyone clapped again for another wonderful song.
A few hours went by and everyone was nearing the end of show. Colorgroove faced them again with a smile on his face.
"Well. I sincerely hope you enjoyed the show. But before we end things off there is one more song I like to do. And it features my friends The Doodlebops. See when I first started using my music powers I thought I was never gonna be able to use them well. But then as I kept trying I started getting better every day. So this last song is 'When Your Good at Something'." Colorgroove said as the curtains rose revealing the Doodlebops and Colorgroove took his place and they started playing and singing.
Then the song began as Deedee started off. And soon Colorgroove did the Celebration dance that went along with it. First he clapped his hands, then he raised the roof, and finally he star jumped. He proceeded to repeat that dance a few times and when the song ended they all posed and everyone applauded and left Canterlot.
With Colorgroove he told the Doodlebops to head back to Vinyl's house so they can rest up after a wonderful performance they did tonight. Then Colorgroove saw Vinyl coming towards him and gave him a hug.
"Colorgroove you rockstar stud. You really gave everyone a concert they'll never forget. I'm so glad you came here. I never knew that you have so much control over your power that you used the music to spread joy to others. And that is what I like about you." Vinyl smiled.
"Well thank you Vinyl. I try hard." Colorgroove said.
"You most certainly do. Hey um Colorgroove? I was thinking of a way to repay you back for all the wonderful stuff you did with the music. Would you like to have dinner with me tonight at the Tasty Treat?" Vinyl asked blushing.
"You know what? Yes. Yes I would love to have dinner with you at this Tasty Treat tonight. But I got an idea to dress for the occasion." Colorgroove answered.
So he took Vinyl by her waist and she placed her hands on his shoulders and together they both spun around and a bright sapphire light surrounded the two and when it died down they both had on fancy clothes. Colorgroove had on A white tuxedo and Vinyl had on A sapphire dress.
"Oh my. You certainly are full of surprises aren't you?" Vinyl flirted.
"I sure am. Now let's head to the Tasty Treat for dinner." Colorgroove replied as he summoned his surfboard once again and allowed Vinyl to get on first. "After you."
"Thank you. What a gentleman." Vinyl smiled as she got on.
Colorgroove was the last to get on the surfboard and Vinyl held on to Colorgroove as he focused on lifting it up and they air surfed all the way to the Tasty Treat. Colorgroove is gonna have a nice time with Vinyl tonight and he knows that too. But in his mind there was something familiar about the shoes Twilight was wearing earlier. He would definitely need to ask Rooney later if he was right about them being the same ones from the story.
Colorgroove and Vinyl were still air surfing in the sky and they came across a restaurant that says the Tasty Treat and came to a landing. Then Colorgroove jumped off his surfboard and Vinyl did too after she did and he caught her. He gently placed her down and smiled.
"Wow. You really know how to make a lady feel special." Vinyl said.
"Hey. You really are special to me. So there's no way I let you get hurt. So let's go get something to eat." Colorgroove replied.
They went inside and went to the waiter at the reservation desk.
"Hi. Reservation for two please. Under the name Colorgroove." He said to the waiter.
"Ah yes. We have been expecting you. Come with me. The princesses will be pleased with you two joining them for dinner." The waiter smiled.
"Princesses? What are you talking about?" Colorgroove asked.
He got his answer as they went to the table where the same two princesses were sitting. One of them has a white coat and wings, her mane & tail is striped of pink, purple, aqua blue, & green with sparkles around, her eyes are light grayish-magenta she wears a golden crown with a purple gem on it, a golden necklace also with a purple gem on it, wears golden hoof shoes, and also has a sun based cutie mark. This was Princess Celestia. The other also had a horn and wings but she had midnight blue fur and hair. Her mane was sparkling and moving so elegantly, even though there wasn’t a breeze in the air. She had big eyes which were the same color as her hair. She was Princess Luna.
"Colorgroove. Vinyl. We are glad you accepted our invitation. Come sit with us." Celestia smiled.
The two went to the table and sat down with the princesses. They all ordered their meals and drinks and then after the waiter left they started sharing conversations.
"So you must be the princesses I saw at the concert earlier tonight." Colorgroove said.
"Why yes. We happen to be the rulers of Equestria itself. And you must be the guy with the music power that made the concert go so well." Celestia replied.
"Yep. That's me. I'm known as Colorgroove. And I hope that you enjoyed that concert I really wanted to share the power of the music." Colorgroove said.
"Oh we certainly did. Though I'm curious about that necklace your wearing. Was that the cause of all that magic happening?" Luna asked.
"Yeah. It was. Now I know you had history with ponies using magic artifacts and didn't end so well as they went crazy in power. But I assure you that I'm not like that." Colorgroove answered.
"It's true Celestia. He's been with me the whole time and I can tell that he is not going crazy. He has total control over his power and he's been nice to me." Vinyl agreed.
"We can certainly tell. And the fact that you were with those three colorful band members. The Doodlebops were they?" Celestia asked.
"Yeah that's them. When I was a little boy my dad always took me to see them play in concert. They were fun, groovy and even allowed some kids to collect some stuff they pass out. But me personal favorite was Moe. He was always fun, loud and fast. Just the way I like it. And when things couldn't be better I got some cool autographed stuff from them and wore the gear to look cool. During my time in elementary school I shared some stories with a few of my old friends about the Doodlebops and even went with them to see them play. To me and my friends we all wished the Doodlebops would live on and keep playing forever as they made many kids happy. But sadly the theater shut down and I haven't seen a concert from them since. Then suddenly when I found this music diamond next thing I know I ended up here in Equestria and surprisingly saw the Doodlebops here too." Colorgroove explained.
"I see. Though we should tell you about Twilight. Something isn't right with her since she's been wearing those purple shoes." Luna said.
"Me and Rooney noticed that too. What's going on?" Colorgroove asked.
"Well it happened after we left the show." Celestia started.
Then there was a flashback was shown of them leaving the show and saw Twilight still dancing.
"After we left the show we noticed that Twilight still had on those shoes and was still tapping. We didn't know why so we decided to follow her." Celestia said.
The sisters followed Twilight and saw her shoes were starting to glow brighter. They stopped her so they can talk to her but didn't stop dancing.
"When we tried talking to her we wondered why she was still dancing even when the show was clearly over. She was getting a little tired but she can't seem to stop." Luna continued.
"And they we noticed her shoes were glowing and we sensed an evil magic inside them. We knew that this can only mean trouble." Celestia finished.
With that, the flashback ended bringing us back to the present. Colorgroove and Vinyl were both in shock. Twilight was wearing cursed shoes!
"So Rooney was right! Twilight is wearing cursed shoes from the story!" Colorgroove realized.
"Oh this is not good. We gotta convince Twilight to take them off." Vinyl agreed.
"You can do that tomorrow. There's no telling that Twilight went home and is sleep dancing right now. You should wait til morning." Celestia suggested.
"Ok Celestia. We will do that." Colorgroove nodded.
At the same time the waiter came back with their meals and drinks and they all enjoyed their dinner. Then after a couple of minutes they all left. Colorgroove and Vinyl both got on the surfboard and headed back to her place to rest. But tomorrow they need to free Twilight from those shoes.
The next morning we see everyone gathered at Twilight's Castle. Colorgroove called all of Twilight's friends here to discuss about the shoes. Even the Doodlebops were here as well. But the only one who wasn't here was Twilight. Reason why is because she had some arrends to do.
"Everyone. Thank you for coming here. I called you all here because we need to help Twilight rid herself of a curse that she placed on herself." Colorgroove said.
"A curse? What curse are you talking about?" Applejack asked.
"Well last night at dinner me and Vinyl heard that Twilight is wearing cursed shoes and we need to get them off her feet. And Rooney? You were right all along. Those were the same shoes from the story." Colorgroove answered.
"Oh no! This is terrible!" Rooney said.
"I don't know. I think Twilight is pretty good at it now. Besides I was thinking of planning a dance party later." Pinkie replied.
"Pinkie don't you see? It's just like the story Colorgroove was reading!" Moe reasoned.
"What story? Goldilocks and the Three Bears? I like that one!" Pinkie asked.
"Not Goldilocks. The Legend of the Musical Hero!" Colorgroove corrected.
"Oh. That story. I don't know that one." Pinkie said.
"Pinkie! The story is about a young boy who loved dancing found this beautiful diamond while on a walk. But what he didn't know is that it was a magic diamond. And once he wore it the diamond granted him the power of a million songs and dances. And as time went by he learned how to control it. But then suddenly there was also an evil curse that had to be vanquished. And that curse is when a young girl came by and saw these beautiful purple shoes. She bought them at a shoe store and placed them on her feet. But what she didn't know is that they are cursed shoes. And they casted a spell on her which made her dance and dance and power up an evil energy dragon and never stops." Colorgroove explained.
"So your saying that based on the story Twilight is wearing cursed shoes and is possibly powering up a dragon as we speak?!" Rarity freaked.
"Yes. Which is why we need to get them off her feet before things get more bad." Colorgroove answered.
"He's right. Come on! We gotta find Twilight and get the shoes off her feet." Deedee declared.
So everyone headed for the door but when they were about to leave a whistle sound draw Moe's attention as a rope came down.
"Just a sec." Moe said as he went to the rope.
"Oh no I knew that was gonna happen! Don't pull the rope!" Colorgroove realized.
"Don't pull the rope!" Deedee said.
"Don't pull the rope!" Rooney said.
"Don't pull the rope!" The girls shouted in unison.
"But I just have to. I really have to." Moe said pulling the rope and resulted in him getting all wet and everyone laughed at that.
"Refreshing!!" Moe replied and shook himself dry.
"Just what I needed." Moe replied.
"We told you not to pull the rope!!" Everyone said in unison.
"I just can't help myself." Moe said.
"Come on Moe were in a hurry." Rooney replied.
He nodded and everyone went out of the door to find Twilight. Meanwhile with Twilight herself she was still dancing and finished her arrends. Then she saw all her friends and the Doodlebops riding on their surfboards and came down in front of her.
"Oh hey girls I was on my way back." Twilight said.
"Twilight listen. Those shoes your wearing are cursed. You have to take them off now!" Applejack replied.
"What's wrong? Is something evil gonna happen later on?" Twilight asked.
"There will be if you don't take off the shoes right now! Your giving them too much power to charge a dragon form! So take them off please!!!" Rarity begged.
Twilight stopped dancing but when she was about to take them off an evil light of purple flashed covering her in that. Then a barrier began surrounding her and purple electricity began surging through her body.
"Oh no! The shoes are powered up and are now beginning to take Twilight's body!!" Colorgroove shouted.
Then the light glowed brighter and shocks of electricity came out and destroyed a few buildings and then zapped them again to make them float and started coming towards her forming a dragon form as her opened her eyes and they too were glowing purple and she gasped softly.
"We got to get her out of there!" Colorgroove said.
Everyone nodded in agreement and tried using their magic and The Doodlebops also tried helping. But no matter what they did they can't seem to get Twilight out of the barrier.
"It's no use! We can't seem to get past the barrier that's surrounding Twilight!" Colorgroove worried.
Then suddenly they saw more bits of the buildings coming together and the chest was finished as it covered Twilight til they can't see her. Then even more bits came and formed arms, legs, A tail, A pair of wings and a head. It became a huge dragon and when it's eyes opened it flashed an evil purple and roared at them. It then flapped it's wings and took to the skies heading for Ponyville. When everyone recovered from the light she was gone.
"Oh no. This isn't good. The transformation is complete. Twilight turned into a dragon powered by the shoes. And now she's gonna wreck all of Ponyville." Fluttershy worried.
"Poor Twilight. Colorgroove is there anyway we can free her from this curse?" Rarity asked.
"There is one way. In order to save Twilight and break the curse is for all of us to gain the power of the music. And then we gotta destroy the shoes." Colorgroove answered.
"He's right. We all have to work together and play really loud music to stun the dragon, free Twilight and destroy the shoes for good." Moe replied.
"Right you are Moe. Now lemme power you guys up with the magic of music!" Colorgroove said.
With that said he used his power to summon a guitar out of music energy and then floated above the ground. He then started playing and singing a song as magic came out and went everyone.
The magic began transforming everyone to have their own music forms. First was Vinyl and she gained a really cool DJ outfit and gained the power to summon any machines to make wub sounds or to make the music louder, next was the Mane Five and each one had a dancing style on their dresses. Rainbow's was rock and roll, Pinkie's was hip hop, Fluttershy's was somewhat Hawaiian, Applejack was country, and Rarity's was classical. Each of their abilities was to summon their instruments and play the tune. The Doodlebops gained their superhero outfits. Deedee had her grey cape and mask, Rooney had his gold cape and mask, and Moe had his red velvet cape and mask. When Colorgroove finished his song he came down and saw everyone all ready and now have the power of the music.
"Alright. Now were ready. Let's go break a curse." Colorgroove said.
So everyone summoned A surfboard and all of them floated above the ground and Colorgroove looked determined as he knows what the mission is.
"Ok guys. Remember the goal: Stun the dragon, free Twilight and then we destroy the shoes for good." Colorgroove stated.
"We got the message. Now let's go free Twilight from those cursed shoes!" Rainbow replied.
And so everyone followed and air surfed with Colorgroove into Ponyville. Twilight turned into a dragon powered by the shoes and it's up to them to save her from this curse.
With all the heroes still air surfing in the sky they were looking for Twilight as she turned into a dragon all thanks to the cursed shoes she has on. They all kept searching for her but so far they haven't had any luck tracking her down.
"Any sign of her guys?" Colorgroove asked.
"No. We can't see to find her. That dragon form she took is a bit powerful. If only we knew where she was." Rarity replied.
"There she is! She's on the Mayor's house!!" Pinkie yelled while pointing.
Everyone looked in the direction Pinkie was pointing and sure enough they all saw the dragon on top of the Mayor's house breathing fire and causing major destruction to Ponyville. The heroes saw what Twilight was doing and were in total shock seeing The Princess of Friendship do something like this.
"Poor Twilight. This isn't like her. Oh I hope we can free her from this terrible curse." Fluttershy hoped.
"We will. We just need to destroy the shoes she has on and that way she'll be her normal self again. But first we need to free it's host!" Colorgroove said.
Then everyone flew to the dragon and used all their magic including the magic Colorgroove gave them to attack the dragon. It started getting annoyed and knocked everyone down. When Colorgroove landed he saw Vinyl falling and he caught her and looked up still seeing the dragon causing destruction.
"It's no use! No matter what we try we can't get to Twilight!" Rainbow cried.
"That's because the shoes are giving her unlimited energy to keep dancing. We need to play some rock and roll to stun the dragon and hopefully free Twilight from that form. But how though?" Colorgroove said.
"Wait. Colorgroove. You said that if we play really loud rock and roll music that might stun the dragon long enough to get Twilight out and we can destroy the shoes." Rooney replied.
"Yeah your right! And I know just the one to do! Hey Moe! You feel like getting loud today?" Colorgroove asked.
"Aww you bet! If were taking out a dragon then LET'S GET LOUD!!!" Moe yelled.
Vinyl used her magic to summon some speakers and The Mane Five summoned their instruments and the rest like the Doodlebops and Colorgroove got in position as they prepared to sing a song to hopefully stun the dragon.
As Moe started singing the dragon heard that and went towards the heroes but then as everyone shouted 'Let's get Loud!!' the dragon started to roar in agony and the chest started cracking! At the second verse the dragon tried to recover but as soon as everyone started shouting 'Let's get Loud' again it roared in agony some more and the chest exploded revealing Twilight and Colorgroove flew in and grabbed her out of the chest and the dragon roared in pain and fell down. It got up but due to it's host not in there it was a little weaker. Colorgroove saw that and needed to break the curse fast.
"Guys! Take Twilight and get the shoes off her feet! I'll distract that dragon!" Colorgroove said.
"Colorgroove! You'll be killed! I don't want you to be killed in the hands of that dragon! I...I probably should have told you this earlier but I love you! And I don't want you getting hurt." Vinyl confessed.
"I appreciate you saying that. But with that dragon still alive I have to stop it. You were nice to see when we met and respected me. So I need to do the same. Now go free Twilight from that curse. I'll hold off the dragon." Colorgroove said as he surfed his way to distract the dragon. Vinyl cried a little but knew he do anything to protect her.
"Good luck Colorgroove." Vinyl said as she went with the others.
Back with Colorgroove he saw the dragon trying to get to Twilight again but then it felt a blast as it roared in agony seeing that Colorgroove used his magic to hit him.
Colorgroove came face to face with the beast and he growled at him. Then Colorgroove realized that using his magic for the greater good if something that all heroes do. Even if it means sacrifice. Ultimately he knew what he had to do.
"Over here you colossal fossil!! You ain't getting Twilight! In fact your too stupid to realize that I have a magic far more powerful than yours! When life gets you down you gotta play the music! And in this case I'm playing that I save the world!!" Colorgroove said as he summoned his rock guitar and begin playing.
The minute he began playing the dragon got hit with all his energy and tried fighting through it. But Colorgroove's powers were now stronger thanks to his bond with the ponies and Vinyl. He danced and played his guitar the best as he could and the dragon was starting to get weaker by the minute.
"Yeah dragon! Feel the wrath of me playing my guitar! Cause I rock!! I'm so cool!" Colorgroove shouted.
Nearing the end of the song the dragon continued trying to fight but it was too weak now and more cracks were being formed. Back with the rest of the gang they all finally managed to get the shoes off Twilight's feet and The Mane Five used their magic to try and destroy the shoes.
Back with Colorgroove he was at the end and when he finished playing he posed and the dragon roared so loud that he exploded into bits. But one of them hit Colorgroove's board and he fell off screaming and hit the ground. When he hit the grass he then saw more bits coming down and he curled in a ball as they made a pile covering him up. But then one smaller one hit him on the head and he fell unconscious.
The Mane Five finally managed to destroy the shoes and the spell was now broken and Twilight was back to normal. She was unconscious at first but then she slowly opened her eyes and groaned a little.
"Ow. What happened?" Twilight asked.
"Twilight!!" Everyone said in unison and hugged her.
"Twilight darling we were worried about you! Those shoes you were wearing were cursed and we needed to break you free." Rarity explained.
"Wait. Where's Colorgroove?" Vinyl asked.
Then she looked at the pile of rubble in her direction and gasped in terror. She ran over to it and with Applejack's help they were able to get rid of them faster and they saw Colorgroove's body laying on the ground. Vinyl dragged his body out and held him close while tears came out of her eyes.
"Colorgroove. He risked his life to save me. But it costed him his own. And now he's..." Vinyl said as she couldn't contain her tears.
"Vinyl im...im so sorry." Twilight apologized.
"He was a great friend. And he always made sure that we were safe. But now he's gone.' Vinyl cried softly.
Then she hugged him as she cried in his shoulder. Then everyone else felt real bad that the only friend they knew with music power was gone. But then suddenly Vinyl felt a pair of hands rubbing her back and she looked at them and back seeing Colorgroove was doing! Meaning he was alive!
"I guess love really does make the best music. Does it?" Colorgroove asked.
"Colorgroove! You're alive!" Vinyl said happy!
She hugged him tight and everyone laughed and cheered seeing that Colorgroove was okay! Then they both stood up and looked in each other's eyes.
"Colorgroove. Im so glad you're okay. I thought you were done for. Guess I shouldn't have underestimated your music powers." Vinyl replied.
"It's ok. And Vinyl? I have something to confess to. When you said that you love me guess what? I love you too. You are like the most beautiful and coolest girl I met. And I can't deny my feelings for you. So Vinyl? Would you be my girlfriend? Colorgroove asked.
"Yes! Yes Colorgroove! I thought you never asked!" Vinyl said.
Then she looked in his eyes and closed them while puckering her lips and he did the same. Then like a fairytale ending they finally have their first kiss. And after that they separated Vinyl lays her head on Colorgroove's neck, while watching from behind was everyone adoring the scene who couldn't stop seeing them so happy together.
"What a romantic scene to watch." Deedee said.
"Yeah. I wish we could celebrate our victory against the dragon." Moe replied.
"You know what? Maybe there is a way to celebrate!! Everyone let's head to Sugarcube Corner! Party is being held there!!" Pinkie declared.
So everyone followed Pinkie to Sugarcube Corner and were happy that the dragon was defeated and Twilight was back to normal and free from the curse.
At Sugarcube Corner we see everyone in their partying for their victory against the dragon Even the princesses were there. There were streamers, balloons, cakes, and all sorts of party decorations all over the place. And we see the Doodlebops and Colorgroove dancing and grooving to the beat and loving the party.
"Wow! This is one awesome party! I'm so glad that we were able to plan it here!" Moe replied.
"Im glad you like it Moe! Because this is the best party we have since the time we have Twilight's party for becoming a princess!" Pinkie said.
"Indeed and Colorgroove we appreciate you and everyone else for stopping the dragon and saving Equestria. In fact anytime we need your help whether it be a party or a threat coming you will be hereby declared as the King of the Music." Celestia said.
"Thanks Celestia I promise that I won't let you or Luna down. You can always count on me and my friends to save Equestria with the power of music!" Colorgroove replied.
They smiled and continued to enjoy the party. Then Vinyl came to Colorgroove and wrapped her arms around him.
"Hey babe. I was wondering if your in the mood for one last dance before we head home for the night." Vinyl asked.
"You bet I am! Lemme just get the music playing and let's groove to the beat!!" Colorgroove said as he blasted the record and aimed it at the speakers which got the song playing.
(Pause at 1:13 and pretend that Colorgroove narrated for the last time. After that continue playing and pretend he said the final lines.)
When the music started playing we see The Doodlebops, Colorgroove, Vinyl and The Mane Six all dancing and singing to the song. And then once the Doodlebops told the readers thank you for joining them in reading this crossover we hear Colorgroove narrate one more time.
"Yep. This is where my story ends. I end up in Equestria forever. But not in a bad way. After all I made lots of friends and I managed to reconnect with my childhood band from many years ago. And I scored myself a lover. And her name is Vinyl Scratch. So now I say thanks for reading and being my friend. And I certainly can't wait to see you again becasue.." Colorgroove said.
After he finished narrating the Doodlebops sang the final lyrics and posed as we zoom out of Sugarcube Corner and into the sky where we see the end credits playing. And thus my friends ends the crossover of the Doodlebops!
