Summer in Phoenix by a mile. Winter in Chicago sucks but summer also sucks in Phoenix and it lasts twice as long and is completely unrelenting, as in literally every day from April-October is hot and uncomfortable outside in Phoenix, while it’s a lot more variable in Chicago. Yeah you can crappy awful cold snaps and snowstorms in chitown but you can also get balmy ok weather (like 40-50 degrees) even in January on occasion too. There’s no such thing as like a nice 75 degree day in July in Phoenix. It’s 110 guaranteed day after day after day… where it becomes ultra monotonous torture and debilitating for me over time like winter never has in Chicago, especially by like August.
That’s just my opinion though but if you like going outdoors at all like I do, Phoenix is like the worst place ever for that at least in the U.S. for half the year straight continuously.
Which is worse, summer in Phoenix or winter in Chicago?
