Simple Writing Plans for 2023 · 10:27am Jun 9th, 2023

A blog entry like this is almost obsolete this year, but for the sake of completion and consistency, here's an obligatory blog entry with my writing plans for 2023.

As simple as simple can be, my writing plans for this year are simply to finish my incomplete multi-chapter stories before I start new and bigger projects. This was a plan for last year, as well, but fate had other ideas. So here I am in 2023, with the same plan. One thing is different this year, though, fate has no weird ideas (so far, at least) and I'm even more organized than I was last year. So I can say that every multi-chapter story of mine that isn't finished yet, will either be finished or have made massive progress by the end of the year. This particularly goes for:

- Dreamwalker Dash

- Letters to Cozy Glow

- A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World

- Reformation from the Heart

- Liza Doolots and the Candy Factory

- Sunny Starscout & Izzy Moonbow: Serial Killers

"Dreamwalker Dash", "Liza Doolots and the Candy Factory" and "Sunny Starscout & Izzy Moonbow: Serial Killers" will be finished by December 31st at the latest. "Letters to Cozy Glow" is difficult to judge, as it depends on Cozy's progress, because this is a story about a mental therapy, it's unpredictable what is going to happen. "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World" will not be finished this year, because this story is massive and spans over 20 years. I am also pondering if I might set the current submission to "Cancelled" and bring the story back in an improved way as a new submission, but this depends on it if and how well the views of it recover with a tighter release pattern. Either way, both Cozy's story and Tempest's story will finally make significant progress again this year.
"Reformation from the Heart" is a Patreon-commissioned story from 2020 and whether it gets continued at all beyond the chapters that my patron has paid for depends on it whether he wants to commission further chapters of it or if someone else is interested in paying to see it continued. But at the very least, the remaining paid chapters will be released this year. After this, I can either continue the story if a new arrangement is made or I will set it to "On Hiatus" for an undetermined amount of time.

Another story that will finally be picked up again this year (without releasing it as a new submission, simply because I want to keep it where it is) is "Filed Away". Furthermore, "The Marvelous, Life-Changing Discoveries of Silverstream, the Hippogriff" will also see updates this year, but due to my special approach with this story, I cannot tell how many updates it will be.
I am unsure what to do with "Journeys and Destinations: A Friendship for Eternity", it's a story I definitely don't want to give up, but it is nearly ten years old now, something has interferred every time I wanted to continue it and a lot of things have changed since I started writing it, especially the appearance of a certain three cutie marks~ I think I can still make this story work, but an "Alternate Universe" tag and a new submission will probably be unavoidable at this point. I still need to figure things out here, I'll make a blog entry for the story once a decision has been made. But I want to restart it this year.

And this is where I stand for 2023. Writing already happens in the background, but I want a decent chunk to be finished before anything gets released. I am going to write up a storm this year, figuratively and literally.

Stay easy as a filly!
