Comic-Con Costume Capers

This weekend Comic Con comes to my town.

I, and others, have decided to dress-up.

Me with my duster coat, fedora, heavy boots, pale skin, unshaven visage, and just generally grumpy persona; well I just happen to be a natural fit for Harry Dresden.

To this end for the next 4 days I shall be making my own Staff and Blasting rod from a pair of broom handles.

I oh so dearly wish I could put pictures up, but I lost the charger for my phone and as such I am stuck at this.

I just finished removing labels, cutting down to size, and sanding down the handles, and I am going to spend tomorrow carving the runes into the staff before adding stainer to highlight them, then it will be time for varnishing.
