Chaos Gate returns! (and writing update) · 6:13am Jul 18th, 2015
Please forgive my random non-pony commercial break, but I'm excited over here. Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate is one of the most engaging turn-based strategy games I've ever played, and it's finally available again via legitimate and not-super-expensive channels. It plays a lot like X-Com (old school X-Com... I haven't got around to the new ones yet), but it draws deep from the well of madness that is Warhammer 40K.
One of the most memorable aspects of the game is its music. It's EPIC (though kind of synth-heavy, which I'll admit doesn't hold up as well as it once did). But listen to that choir!
Anyway... I'm trying to avoid admitting that I probably won't get a story out this month, and I'm definitely trying to avoid admitting that I've been trying to maintain a goal of monthly releases. But with the way things are going, I should probably just call the month of July now and start getting caught up on sleep, instead of continuing to stay up late bashing my face against the keyboard.
