That is some beautiful poetry you've got there, I hope it gets on the popular list! Even if it doesn't, I'll let you know here and now, that you are an amazing poet.

Ha, that's definitely not a compliment I hear every day. While I myself am not predicting a big turnout (it isn't the usual kind of fic I write, among other factors), nevertheless I'm grateful! Thank you for your kind words.
Very unique pair of ponies, with a very unique way of telling a story. Beautiful.

Thank you for a lovely comment. Always a pleasure to read what others think.
It still surprises me how much of this came to my mind fully formed. Once I made the initial connection between one's eastern poetry and the other's eastern-styled origins, the story's direction (how to write it, what to write about, and so on) seemed amazingly obvious from there.
It's not often that happens, but given what a pain writing can be, it's always welcome when it does!
Beautiful! Inspired! Thoughtful!
Brilliant. Have never seen a story that is entirely poetic. And the marked difference between Kettle Corn's writing and MIstmane's is very impressive. Not sure about the other entries in the contest, but this should receive high marks.

Three magic words. I love it!

Ah, one can hope, but my sixth sense tells me there'll be some stiff competition as the month goes by.
Thanks! Mistmane's side gave me the most trouble, since I was trying to portray someone who'd be a more advanced poet than an enthusiastic child like Kettle Corn. I also aimed to have their styles blend a bit near the end, with Mistmane relaxing her approach enough to be more forthcoming, while Kettle Corn pushes herself to be more inventive.
And, of course, thank you both very much for the comments. After a bit of a hiatus on my part, it's a very encouraging gift!
This is quite beautiful. Not at all what I would expect to find in ponyfic, but then it’s always had room for surprises, just as with the show itself. And it’s exciting to see late-season characters being lavished with this kind of development.
Also:
That one got me laugh-in.

That's one reason why I took part in the Time Action Glory Challenge: given what creativity this fandom's pulled off, it's a shame to see it also leave stones unturned, especially for characters in later seasons. Both of these characters here have been languishing for a long time already.

Thank you, sweet critic!
Your praise is inspiration
To keep writing more.
Goodness, haikus are addictive, aren't they? I'll need an intervention soon. Yes, I wanted to keep the story as focused as possible, partly as a challenge, and not least because a whole story written in poems can wear out its welcome. Thank you once again for a generous comment!
I generally dont do poetry, I'm a generally literal person but I really liked this

Poetry is a bit of an acquired taste sometimes; I'm very glad you consider this a pleasant exception.
Thank you very much for your comment. You've certainly cheered me up today.
