The title 'Love Pie' has a double meaning of possibly the name of the magic pie she eats or the results of the pie that causes Pinkie's friends to fall in love with her, therefor they love pie.

As opposed to Twilight and AJ, there was no clear indication that Rarity actually saw Pinkie's eyes, and that leads me to think that her interest may actually be legitimate. I feel bad for her if that ends up being the case.

It would be, it might be difficult though. I don't know of too many ways love can be corrupted and how that would apply to AJ, Dash, Twi, Rarity, and Flutter. Although something like Into Darkness but for the five instead of just Rarity might be really fun. Something to throw into an ideas folder

Soooo... this love magic works like this: Pinkie Pie doesn't pull feelings out of thin air, but only inflames those that already existed. That is, her friends are already a little in love with her, magic simply manifests these feelings.
Aaand... this is the final confirmation - Pinkie's gaze only inflames already existing feelings. And since Fluttershy, unlike the rest of the company, is not used to making a mountain out of a mountain, while having amazingly low self-esteem, from the very beginning she simply accepted her feelings and continued to live, without hoping to receive an answer.
