My Movie Review of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (Reconstructed & Re-Analyzed)

This is a completely modified version of my review on “Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island”. Along with presenting a greater sense of reconstruction to correct grammatical errors and all that sort of thing, this also presents a combination of my thoughts on the film both when I initially reviewed and re-analyzed it later the same year.

Tim Conway’s “The Dentist” · 6:31pm Feb 17th, 2019

I thought that, today, it wouldn’t hurt to share with you guys something that, each and every time I think about it, makes me go from giggling to laughing. My intention in particular: to help all of you guys have a great laugh, as well as to see what you all think.

This sketch I’m showing you all comes from that of “The Carol Burnett Show”, where Tim Conway (before he became a regular of the show) guest stars with regular star and friend Harvey Korman as a dentist who must help his patient with his toothache.

Let me tell you all something: This sketch here is one of the funniest things, if not the funniest, to have ever come on television! It’s definitely the funniest sketch from the show, that’s for sure. Only Tim Conway could ever make something so fun out of being a dentist, especially with the way he did it. Why people don’t do any kind of thing like this anymore is something I’ll never know. In this case, making comedies that are innocent and not so mean-spirited.

I decided that today would particularly be the best day to show it to you all in light of yesterday. After all this time, official confirmation came on Facebook that Season 9 will be the final season of Friendship is Magic. I felt awfully sad upon finding the news, especially because it once again fell into the scenario of rumors eventually becoming confirmation. But know this, even if the series ends in favor of a new generation, the characters will always be the ones that will never stop being with us, and this fandom is something that I hope will keep going as long as everyone’s breathing. I also hope that this site, will never disappear.

I hope you all enjoy this video!

Thanks for this, I really needed this. I am very upset after the news yesterday, even though I knew this would likely end up happening. I feel better now, especially with what you said about the characters and fandom.

I'll miss the FIM series, but I am willing to see what the next generation will be like.

And I agree comedies just aren't as innocent as they used to be. Just look at the last few seasons of Family Guy and American Dad. Granted they're directed at a mature audience, but even that audience hates seeing so much mean spirited humor coming from such bad characters.

For kids and teens it's watching Teen Titans Go. The humor they use is just an outrage. When those guys are mean, they're mean to the point they could drive someone to suicide. And their idiocy just makes you want to slap your hand to your forehead.

I'm in medical school right now, so this is hilariously relatable.

:applejackunsure: Maybe I should clarify. What I find hilariously relatable about the dentist skit is the whole "I have no idea what I'm actually doing" feeling that professional students get when being forced into a situation where they have to put theory into practice.

Also, yeah, that video kinda feels just a smidge mean-spirited.

Tim Conway. I knew him for a lot of TV roles, but I associated him mostly with...

EEEVILLL!!

Not that evil, you old coot.

I'll miss the FIM Series too. I'm willing to see the next generation is like too.
Maybe it'll share the same style with either 2012's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (TV Series) or Dragon Ball Z
