Yeah, yeah, I released on Easter Weekend. Not smart. But, hey, it's out, and it has a reveal that I planted since Chapter 1! How cool is that? I don't think I have any more things since that very episode left to... uh. Oh well, you'll find out!
So today I posted the new chapter of Ranger! As I said in the author's note, I'll be pacing this one a lot more, but on the flip side, I can write ahead, and not worry about running out of chapters too quickly in case of emergencies. Some very old details are going to finally be out in the open soon too... stuff I hinted at since... well, you'll see.

So, I'm not one to do these State of the Author blogs often. I'm not really sure if people are really that interested in my life, but occasionally, like today, I just want to share a little bit of how things are going.
The writing is solid.
I repeat: The Writing Is Solid.
The newest chapter of Sunset's Isekai has a canonical chapter with a visitor from that little corner of the Multiverse. If you have been wanting a bit more from Ranger, why not take a look?
I intended originally to have a solo-story for this character, but it got dragged down to the point that it probably wouldn't take place at all, so I figured I'd start pumping life back into the story with this!

Also, yes, I'm working on it. Sort of cleaning up this arc so it makes sense.
So today I post the last catch-up chapter. If you haven't been keeping up, we've got three chapters that basically summarize the story so far from a few character's perspectives, so they are a bit skewed and don't contain all the information readers will have, but I felt it was needed... a good reminder for the last 250 or so chapters XP
After this, the next mini arc starts. Thank you for your patience!

Not entirely sure why, but I've been having a tough time rebuilding momentum. It's not lack of ideas, or even time... it's just procrastination, if I'm honest. I'm re-setting my daily expectations word-count wise, so bear with the really short XCOM: Ranger chapter for tonight please.
Regarding "Ranger", I have renamed the story into: "XCOM: Ranger" to avoid confusing readers with Rescue Sunstreak's own story with the same name, which was named so before I even started mine.

I think it was all the unintentional and nerve-wracking sliding I did today in the ice. Chapter is started, just... slow. Should be done tomorrow and updates for other stuff should be following soon after.

So, I was wondering about my Ranger readers (show of hands would be nice!) and whether you'd be interested in sharing your thoughts about the story overall here. I'm curious about a few things, if you'd indulge me and comment on them (with as much detail as you like):
1) What do you like about Ranger the most?
2) What do you like about Ranger the least?
3) Do you like more character-oriented chapters, or action-oriented?
So, updating on Ranger and other stories, I'm getting back in the rhythm of writing. It's amazing how quickly you can lose that whole effort by taking a break or procrastinating just a little... work suddenly piles up and you're left wondering where to go and even what to tackle first!
Still, stories are going well and I'm fairly confident that I'll be able to get back on track once more, 100%. Even with other stuff going on IRL.
So you might not be aware of it yet, but force200 created a TvTropes page for Ranger!
It is woefully empty at this time, and needs some TLC! If you're a Ranger fan and you know your Tropes, please go ahead and add content!
