Bud Grazer

The beauty of thought. The infinity there. Nowhere is as near as I to anywhere. Everywhere is the same from some point in thought and the same point is in some thought from everywhere. ~ Sun Ra

Even among a race known for its loyalty, there are some gryphons who go further than the average.

Having pledged to serve her pony master until death, Nuage follows both him and the strict rules that govern her lifestyle.
But how far can honor take someone ?

This story could really use a decent cover picture, but I have the drawing skills of a toddler.

If anyone who can draw feels generous, I would be very grateful :raritywink:

Welp, it appears I am the first to do most things here apart from comment.

That's all I really have to say. :twilightsheepish:

I would draw a cover for you if you give me a description :3 message me

Heh heh. Congratulations, but you have to be visitor number 1 000 000 to win a car :raritywink:

Thanks for the fave, that's at least one reason for me to finish the story :pinkiehappy:

2889082 Curses, foiled again! :raritydespair:

Wow, im suprised this isnt getting allot of traffic, this is an awesome plot and is being executed splendidly. I'm brewing a cover worthy of this story.
I want to give a prediction; papyrus is about to obtain his goal but is overwhelmed with power or whatnot and nuage comes to help or save her master and ends up becoming immortal instead due to interfering with the magic at the last second, as a plot twist

I suppose the lack of views is due to a combination of an "OC-only" story, the tragedy tag and a boring cover picture.

Thanks in advance for the cover art, hopefully that will help attract some readers

As for your theory... I will say nothing :trollestia:

Ok, this pony is utterly insane.

He needs to be killed at once.

*readies his Godslayer*

Those who seek after power are the least able to wisely use it.

2911915
Hey ! Don't kill my characters...

I get to do that :pinkiecrazy:

Ah, blind obedience.

How many innocents have died because those who were 'loyal to their master(race)' were 'only following orders'?

I can only hope she'll wake up to her folly before her insane master gains his wicked power.

(I mean, cuz if she doesn't, and he does get it, imma hafta destroy their planet. Can't let evil gods exist! Dems da rules! :trollestia: )

Thanks bro, thanks.

Now let's see how long it will take me to get the next one out.

Crazy old unicorn wants evil book of psycho death magic from another serial killer unicorn.

This will not end well... :fluttershyouch:

Dear oh dear, Papyrus, things are bad when Nuage is genuinely considering not doing what you ask. :pinkiesick:

Funny things happen in the heat of the moment. :derpyderp1:

Well, time to call Harry Dresden...

Got a mad godling to put down.

3132944
Don't worry, Nuage should take care of that.

As soon as she stops being dead, that is. :twilightoops:

3133168 She must drink the Water of Life!

*gets a Sandworm from "Dune"*

That cures death, right?

:pinkiecrazy:

That was really weird, but in a good way. :moustache:

Glad you liked it. Surrealism is the best ism !

There's always funny stuff going on in my head, it's good to let it out and get some fresh air once in a while :derpytongue2:

3183891 Dat freaky muzak certainly helped with the strangeness, how did you find those guys/that guy?

3184852
If I remember right, some guy in school (middle school ? never sure how the different grades translate between countries). How he knew the band, I'm not sure... I think he was a drummer and since Christian Vander is a beast on the drums, it would make sense that he listened to this. Anyways, he lent me the few tapes he had and it blew my mind. :pinkiecrazy: I think the band is a little more well-known over here... It's not like they're on the radio, but I remember seeing at least one interview of Vander on TV, in a show about jazz.

Now that we have the wonders of the internet and practically all of their songs have been uploaded to youtube, I've become a fan again. It's a kind of music that really moves me, I guess. Music that speaks directly to the soul, bypassing the brain completely. And I've only put a few short songs/extracts in the chapter, the most powerful pieces tend to be really long, like Köhntarkösz or Mekanïk Destruktïẁ Kommandöh. That one shakes you from the first note to the last.

I think I'm fanboying... Sorry :twilightblush: But if you like it, I can suggest lots of other interesting music, I listen to plenty of free jazz, avant-garde, fusion... Magma's music is not the weirdest I know (that honor definitely goes to Sun Ra's), but it's pretty high on the list, the rest is more or less "conventional".

While that wasn't quite the ending I was hoping for/expecting, it is certainly a fine end to one of the most unique Stories I have read. Even though I may be just one of a few readers, I think your work with this story was amazing, and just barely missed the top 5 Gryphon stories from my user page. If you do decide to write a sequel I will be there; and even if its not a sequel I will probably still be there.

Thank you
I've been working on another, similar story for... way too long by now. If you liked this one, check out what I'll publish in the near future.

And then, I have several other ideas running around in my head for other stuff that I want to write next... I already have some vague idea of what I could write in a sequel to this one, but I'd like to get all the others done first. I really need to find a way to get these out of my brain faster, it's getting cluttered in there. :pinkiecrazy:

So, there's little chance we'll see Nuage again, but "never say never"...

I read this story a few weeks ago and loved it to death!
It made me laugh.
It made me cry.
It even made me cringe till my teeth were gone.
I loved this story so much that I actually read it in one day, put it on my NOOK, and cried that it was over.:twilightblush:

I wan't more Nuage!

Thanks man (or woman). This story is actually one of my favorites amongst the stuff I've written, so nice comments like these are extra special to me  Sorry about your teeth, though. :twilightsheepish:

I'm not promising a sequel because I have a lot of stories in progress right now and if I start another one, nothing will ever get done. I write slowly enough already... But when those are finally done, there's a good chance I'll go back to this universe. Just don't hold your breath, because it'll take a while.

You might want to check that story, too. It's just a one-shot and more of a spin-off than a sequel, but it does take place in the same continuity and with one character coming back.

Hope you don't mind, but I added this story to some groups.
