WARNING: THIS STORY WAS WRITTEN FOR FUN AND NONSENSE. DO NOT EXPECT SERIOUS DISCUSSION ON FOREIGN POLICY

Princess Celestia decides to give Twilight a crash course in foreign policy by inviting her to Canterlot to both learn and participate in a meeting with a newly formed nation. Sure she's nervous, but she also confident. After all, she's the Princess of Friendship, she's made friends with Zebras, Buffalo, Griffins, dragons, and now even Changelings. Sure these new arrivals might be different, but nothing she can't handle, right?

Isn't Twilight afraid of snakes?

7728138 Wow, that's old. I forgot about that.

7728144 I remembered because of a NOPE Gif.

7728150 I think it was more being suddenly startled than anything else, and of course horses shy away from snakes.

7728188

Twilight is legitimately afraid of snakes and cheese quesadillas.

I stand corrected! *

7728228 Actually, the exact quote is:

Though she wasn't immediately sure of their species, that was more Fluttershy's specialty, she was able to identify them.

Emphasis mine. She actually was able to identify them, it just took her a second.

This was delightfully silly.

7728144 Yes, she is scared of Snakes.... but these are SNEKS, not snakes.

7728144 Upvoted because of the picture of King Slippery Snek. :derpytongue2:

How truly random, I adore short stories written in this fashion, especially since I can't write them myself. Well done sir, well done indeed.

Speaking as a severe reptile enthusiast with a very silly british accent that may or may not include the occasional verbal tick of "mmmyes", just call me Mister Ambassador.

7730484 Ah, Sir Leopold! I had no idea you had an account here!

For some reason, I kept picturing the Vipers from XCOM2 when I read this.

I love snakes, but it is quite hard to imagine a society of them with many possessions what with their lack of limbs and all.
And aren't snakes quite solitary creatures?

Still fun story.

7733377 Prehensile tails and mouths. Heck, they're more flexible than earth-ponies. They're probably very strong too, those bodies are most likely banded with solid muscle. And that's apart from any magic abilities they have. I'd have guessed either mind based powers or djin summoning.

This is amazing. It is both insane, and somehow believable that this could be an episode. From now on, this is part of my headcannon. Expect Meta to encounter the Sneks.

I'm gonna be honest... I wish there was more to this story, the sneks are adorable and the whole thing was funny :pinkiehappy:

You know, looking back, you should really do a follow-up to this. I'd really like to hear about he continued diplomatic relations with the Sneks...
