This story is a sequel to My Little Pony: Friendship is Cine-magic: Shaun the Sheep Movie
(Season 1, Episode 6)
It's another grand adventure through the cosmos of film, as the Main 6 and Spike are once again needed to help somecreature in need. They shall meet Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse, two natural enemies that never seem to quit butting heads. However, this seemingly cartoonish journey takes a dark turn when they meet Robyn Starling, an orphan forced to live with her greedy, wicked guardian; Aunt Fig. 50 years of feuding will be put aside as Tom and Jerry along with the Main 6 and Spike all must team up to rescue Robyn and reunite her with her long, lost father.

Not one that I expected, but one that I welcome since I actually do still support this film in spite of its criticism, being something from my childhood I personally liked. Also, looking at the characters listed together I kind of realize how much the world of Final Fantasy is the odd one out thus far.

I can definitely see how communication with these two would be awkward regularly, but I do know this film eventually does break tradition. Controversial, yes, but at least it was a one time deal for the franchise.

Getting flashbacks to some of the tie-in games for the movie. Well I only played the Genesis version myself. The SNES title had nothing to do with the movie, with more in common with an earlier NES title that I still own. Seems the ponies are more than used to friendship songs, but also know they don't always hit home. Pinkie's bit at Appleloosa comes to mind.
