Everyone’s favorite unicorn is doing something else today so I'm writing about Rarity instead.
This short fic is just practice for writing Rarity and Sweetie Belle as I weave them into my long fic (which you can beta read if you visit my user page). Let me know if I’m getting the vibes right; that's all I really care about with this.
Edit: There's a dialogue contest so might as well incorporate this into that. Puts some constraints on where I was planning to go with the story, but hey, it's a nice challenge.

Yeah, no kidding. I spent ten minutes just staring at a blank screen as I tried to figure out how to change the first few paragraphs over to the new format. My normal style works well with dialogue, but I rely heavily on gestures and expression descriptions. It took a bit of thinking to work my way out of it. Oh, that, and I have like no experience writing fiction whatsoever.
I had fun, though. It really showed me how much I can get away with through speech alone. I'll definitely be taking a few lessons I've learned from this to my other work.

My mother actually has a gizmo that's specifically built for pureeing up apples for applesauce. A meat grinder wouldn't be a perfect substitute for it, but it does work on pretty much the same principles. Just remember to peel and core the apples before you start grinding, or you're going to be picking apple peel and seed fragments out of your applesauce regardless of what device you use.
