Once upon a time there were two companies, the Danish Eggmont Publishing and the British Fleetway Publications. Both published comic books in their respective provinces and would eventually merge, Eggmont buying Fleetway through its UK based London Editions company in 1991, resulting in the creation of Fleetway Editions and two years later in 1993...the creation of Sonic the Comic.
