April 2024 Update

Hey!!
Some updates for some of the stories I'm working on

~RAINBOW & LIGHTNING V. EVIL STUFF ~
The next chapter should be out in May. I haven't started it yet, but these chapters usually take less time than my others, so May stills seems plausible. The title is 'CHAOS KEEP,' and will have a sort of Mysterious Island vibe to it. Be on the lookout!

~ REJECTS STUFF ~
The next chapter should be out sometime in June. Chapter 8 came out a few weeks ago, check it out if you haven't yet!
A goal I have for this next one is focus a lot more on executing better characterization this time around. I feel like I've done well with Twilight, Starlight, and some others in that regard, but there are several characters, especially many of the OCs and members of the main gang, who need more work to be done. I was not happy to have had to push the main group's POVs in both chapter 7 and chapter 8, so in this upcoming chapter I'm going to make sure they take up the majority of the spotlight. The other POVs that are planned for chapter 9 include: Twilight (scheming in Canterlot), Rarity (who is currently sitting in a dungeon), Trixie (journeying to rescue Cadance), Silver Stream (about to be married to Malthos), and Juno (heading north to rescue Flurry Heart). There's a lot more I want to fit in, but that's the essential stuff. I've resolved that 19.9k is the absolute limit for word count.
The plan is to still have three more chapters after this, but it depends how this one goes. The current plan is for Chapter 10 to have the wedding setpiece where many characters will collide, Chapter 11 to have the big battle at Canterlot with Twilight v the dragons v. Vertigo, and for Chapter 12 to have the conclusion to everything else, including some betrayals, new team-ups, and some major 1v1s. All details regarding the events preceding Rejects 1x01 should be out in the open by the end of Chapter 12. The handy plot summary I mentioned in last post will be in the author's note of Chapter 12.
