Howdy, hi, this is DaOtterGuy, and welcome to The Closet!
This will be a weekly Sunday Blog Posting to share and recommend my favourite LGBT+ fics on the site. The basic rules are that it has to be a story I've read, be LGBT-focused, and can't be my own.
This Sunday we got a rare pairing amongst the mane 6 with Fluttershy x Pinkie Pie in Icky-Sicky Pinkie Pie by ThatOneWriter!
Pinkie Pie is sick, and that sucks, but Fluttershy is there to make her feel better, and that's rad! The setup is fanstic as a really cute slice of life unfolds about two ponies being bad at communication, but still showing how much they care about each other in small ways.
What's really strong about this fic is the characterization. Everyone feels like their canon selves but with a slight fluffy exterior that really pushes everyone's personalities into solid feel good territory. The comedy is an easy breezy affair with some good chuckles, and the overwhelming heartfelt goodness is classic fluff. It's really hard not to read and have a big smile on your face the whole way through.
Our leading mares are fantastic and have a delightful domestic chemistry that really nails the fluffiness of a slice of life romance.
I give this one a solid recommendation for those in need of some good feelings on a downcast day. Until next week, happy reading!
