The Dazzlings have been defeated, their powers stripped away and their status as Equestrian beings revoked. After they stumble off the stage to escape the wrath of a booing crowd, the full weight of their failure crashes down on them.

Luckily, they still have each other.

very sweet and touching, i like it

6076127 Thanks a bunch! Also, thanks for making this a favorite!

Aww, this is cute. But who is Miku?

6076414 Hatsune Miku, a persona of a singing synthesizer application. Also known as a Vocaloid. Look up her appearance, and you'll get the joke.

Absolutely adorable. :yay:

Welcome. Another fan of these ladies. I enjoyed this, and agree with your note at the end. (But, but... if they don't kick Sonata out, how will she get paired up with the self-insert OC? ;)

6077154 :pinkiegasp: A comment from one who did such good cover art for his own stories? I am pleased. :pinkiehappy:

But ogaudno, don't ever talk to me about self-insert OCs. They're bad for my constitution. :fluttershbad:

Really, the fault lies in the whole over-complicated plan to neutralize the Rainbooms instead of, you know, just killing them, but every villain ever is guilty of the flub-up.

It was those stupid Rainboobs!

Never once has it occurred to me to make this joke myself. So obvious now. :facehoof:

Also; this was really sweet! Not particularly fond of the trend mentioned in the author's notes, myself, even though I know full well how hard it can be to write Sonata as legitimately villainous. Then again, that's always (for me) while she's standing next to Adagio. So if anything, writing Evil Sonata should be easier in all those stories where she's "The Only Good One, No Really," no evil light pollution (metaphorically speaking) from anyone else to diminish her own! Same principle applies for Aria.

Let's see someone ship their boring self-insert with that!

I kinda have to agree that the plan failing wasn't any of the Dazzlings' fault. Vinyl (who had no problem following the random, purple, talking dog, maybe because she couldn't hear it on account of her magic-cancelling headphones and followed its directions anyway?) and her magic car that does exactly what the heroes need it to do come straight out of nowhere.

I get how Sunset being a former magical prodigy + Power of Friendship adding onto the six could have pushed their attack to Crystal Alicorn status, but Vinyl, in hindsight, feels like a Get Out of Jail Free card because they'd have never won otherwise.

/rant.

TL;DR: I liked this story. Nothing new, maybe, but well-written and more touching in the details than the usual thing.

6079112 I'm glad I paved way for a new gag. :rainbowwild:

Thanks for your input. Your mention of an evil Sonata characterization may have given me an idea for a potential darkfic. Heck, if you end up finding a way to write that yourself, I'd read it! :pinkiehappy:

I think there have been a few fics in which Sonata turned out to be genuinely malicious or psychotic, but I don't know how much they overlap with the described method. And, afraid I don't really go for dark fics at all, sorry. :twilightsheepish:

6081541 Ah, I see. Totes understandable, though. I myself mostly prefer going for the happier stories and good endings.

This was adorable! I love siren bonding fics.

6089118 So do I, my friend. So do I.

I've been looking for stories like this, mostly because I've read a lot of fanfics of the Dazzlings where the other two sirens leave the other one, or all three of them part ways and trying to live life without each other (Or something similar to that). You have no idea how happy I am when I finished reading this story, It's so heart warming in the end. The way Aria comforted Adagio was very 'Aria-like' she's still on character while comforting Adagio, I just really love it.

Awesome job making this story! I'll give yah 10 Adagio's hips out of ten. :pinkiehappy:

6094769 10 Adagio hips?! You fool! You've doomed us all! :raritycry:

Anyway, I totally feel your pain (if that wasn't explained already in my Author's Notes). Glad to know that there's someone out there who shares that particular view, and I'm glad to know that I've satisfied one who's been searching for so long.

Also, omgtheartistofthatasksonataduskandfriendsbloglikedmystoryi'msogiddyyippee!

Ahem.

Meh. This is really good for a first story, but it's a little weak. Not heartwarming enough to make me happy. Not sad enough to make me cry. They seemed too calm. But, good writing job. You really set the scene. You get a like.

6458226 Glad I could rumble a heart or two.

F-F-First fanfic?! :pinkiegasp:
This was AMAZING!

6599195 You really think so? :pinkiehappy: Thank you. That means a lot.

I don't get it. They became ponies? Why? Elements are racists? Even sirens can be teenage girls.

Your fanfic got me thinking: the sirens fed on negative energy, and were constantly negative as well (not counting their egotistical/smug moments). Could it be possible that destroying the gems also destroyed their internal negativity (more or less) as well as their ability to make others negative, allowing them to become more positive like average people (didn't want to go with 'normal people' because normal is overrated)?

I like this idea, I like it a lot. Especially since it's already been shown that at least crystals can contain magic. Heacannon right here.:yay:

The only thing left though is to figure out what the heck the gems were in Equestria, because as I recall they didn't appear on the siren forms. Unless...could the gems have been inside their bodies?
