After having her dreams in the Wonderbolts crushed because of a stupid nickname tradition, Rainbow Dash has quit the team entirely and sulked back home. She thought she would live depressed with nothing to achieve in life until she watches a race on the TV about the NTT IndyCar Series. Intrigued, Rainbow Dash sets on her way to racing in the IndyCar series full-time in the Andretti Autosport team. Will Rainbow Dash rise up to become a champion of IndyCar? Or will she crash and burn in a horrible wreck? Only time will tell for the rookie.

Kinda ackward around the fact Equestria exists as an island in the Caribbean, but putting aside that the desire of Rainbow Dash to pursue the goal of becoming a champion in this alternate version of Newbie Dash (God, I hate so much that episode) is an excellent new begining.

I wanted to give Rainbow Dash a new opportunity to start in a competitive sport that doesn’t use hazing to demoralise its members, plus I also had this idea floating around in my head for quite a while before I even wrote this story. So yeah, Rainbow will find her new passion in this American open-wheel series. I mean who knows what will happen in her first IndyCar outing? Maybe she will win the Indy 500 and her first championship in her rookie season?

Well this is awkward, I was in the process of creating an IndyCar story based around the exact same season with my OC as a continuation of the Roar of the V8's timeline.
What team is she intending on driving for? I'm assuming it would be one of the upper tier teams. I.e. a McLaren, Penske, Ganassi, or Andretti.
I was planning on bringing back the #22 Penske Entry that Simon Pagenaud used to drive before Penske relegated to a three car team.

This kinda makes me unsure about whether or not I should continue on the next part in my universe.
As I mentioned, I had intended on creating a story based around the 2023 IndyCar season as well. A continuation of the story that started with F1 Duels of the Century in 2019 and currently is set in 2022 with V8 Supercars.
My plan was to have my OC, Viral Velocity, join Team Penske to revive the #22 team as I previously mentioned.
Though, having two fanfics based around the exact same racing series during the exact same season doesn't seem like a good choice for me.

I actually like where this is going! The idea of Equestria co-existing with humans and real-world countries, alongside their modern technology, is something I recently realize I enjoy. Plot is solid, no glaring plot holes so far, and nice callbacks from actual episodes, what with a different ending from "Newbie Dash". I know nothing about cars nor racing so this is my exposure to the NTT IndyCar Series lol.
Overall, good potential, would like to check out the next chapter. Might need to recheck and proofread this, though; a couple of sentences are missing a word and you might need to add more commas.
