A bit about me and the future I guess

Hi. Thanks for clicking. I'll be short. (that's a lie but not on purpose I swear)
I'm IGIBAB, french writer in the fandom since July 2013. An author that made a bit of a name for himself, at least for someone that wasn't there in the early days (french ficdom is like the english ficdom : the things that everyone know about are from 2011-2012. I'm the guy that wrote the next most well-knowed stuff, the kind of things you quickly stumble upon if you get into reading more than MLD and Anthropology. Is this bragging?)

From 2014 to 2018, we had a french site for fictions (called mlpfictions). Due to dramas, the site closed, and a lot of writters found themselves without an audience. Myself included. An alternative appeared ("la bibliothèque de canterlot") but the site hasn't been updated in 3 years, is full of bugs and kinda dead.

So here I am, looking for a new audience. Looking for a reason to keep on writing about those colourful ponies I've loved for 10 years now. I still have ideas, unfinished projects, and I've wanted to translate for a long time now. So I am throwing myself into this new adventure. Because I've had enough about complaining that this fandom is dying while I'm not doing anything to help it stay alive. Fandom needs new creations, and I can bring that but I've been finding excuses for years. Time to stop that and move forward. Make the stuff I've always wanted to do, and participate in all of that fun stuff. No matter if my english is poor and if I fumble.

So, projects :
For now, the goal is to post a translation of one of my old works, at a rythm of at least one chapter a month and at most one per week. (I'm doing a lot on the side, work, youtube, real book, so on, and I don't want to overwork myself)
When this is done (which will take some time as I have a 70k and a 210k fanfictions to translate, not counting one-shots and other stuff), I'll probably have found a lot of motivation back to continue my unfinished projects in french, so I'll be able to translate those right after.

Wanna help me?
I won't ask for someone to be like a beta-reader correcting english mistakes, as it is too much work (for that person, not for me lol). But, every comment, every like, every reading counts in my motivation. I've been writing for myself for years, and by sharing, I've discovered it's much more pleasant to write for others. It's motivating. I'm feeling like I help people escape, wonder, imagine.
If you really want to help, just post a comment when you spot a mistake. You don't have to do a full grammar check of the whole chapter. Just, a mistake rubs you the wrong way, write a comment about that one and that one only. I'll correct it quickly. I'm much slower if I see a wall of text with 200 mistakes. (but I still appreciate it)

For now, I want to say, this site has been very welcoming of someone who makes a lot of mistakes, and it's heartwarming. Thank you for that. And thank you if you read until there.

Oh and, if you want to know, IGIBAB means "I Guess I'm Becoming A Brony"... Yeah... Found that pseudo 10 years ago now... Never manage to change to "I Guess I Became A Brony" because I'm just too attached to that naivety I had. The fun of those early days...
