Not to be too negative, but I watched the first two (four?) episodes of Pony Life finally.
They're not awful? The worst I can say is they do not move me. But I might watch two more, and we'll continue like that till I'm sick of it.
You can find the rest of my thoughts here. Follow me on Twitter if you want to keep up with my thoughts on the series.

My God, you put it into words.
N.B. "c.f." is for comparisons. For examples, you want "e.g." or "i.e."
I really liked the second episode. The first felt a little bit sporadic with how much it shifted from scene to scene and joke to joke, but episode 2 held a really good narrative with its scenes and had some good humor, I think.
Though, episode 1 did give me a stupid video idea.
It sounds like I thought it would be - the exact opposite of what I wanted.
I wanted a new MLP show to be more like She-Ra/Avatar/Steven Universe, not like Teen Titans Go.

Unfortunately, I doubt we will ever get such a thing with the MLP IP. Hasbro wants to sell toys, not send messages. The first couple seasons of MLPFiM are the best we're gonna get, though I do privately think they at least helped with that wave of more mature, socially conscious Western animation. (For all that pretty much everything else spawned out of Adventure Time.)

Pretty much this. FiM had its influence, and the brand will do nothing culturally significant again.

>legit loves Seasons 7-9, adores the Young Six, and thinks the show went out on a high note for the ages.

It's fine to enjoy it, it just didn't have the ground-breaking firstness of the early show is my point.
