A Cloaked Heart Side Stories? · 8:31pm May 14th, 2022
If I decided to write some side stories, some canon to A Cloaked Heart and others some non-canon silliness in the same universe (E.G.: Jethro and Pinkie imitating Epic Meal Time), would anyone read it? I was thinking about sharing some parts of the story from different perspectives (My first attempt has been seeing Celestia and Luna dressing down the Mane 6 after they attacked Jethro). Thoughts?
I'm torn on this. On the one hoof it means more story's but on the other hoof it means slower updates to the main story. For now I'm saying no simply because I want to see as much of the main story as possible. Either way do what makes you happy, I will support your decision😀😁
I have been wanting to know what Celestia and granny Smith said when calling them out. It keeps driving me nuts not knowing how they were called out considering they rarely get scolded much less punished.
I say go for it, adding these side stories would also help you keep the inspiration going for future chapters and avoid writer's block.(the bane of authors everywhere)
There is quite a lot you could potentially do, such as the dressing down of the Mane 6, or even an entire piece about Princess's et all running about finding enough info about the Lyncan Empire traditions to help Jethro...or even the entire side piece of Zecora being rushed to the Lycan empire.
Like Calmflame mentioned, torn on it....means less foot on the gas for your rather timely chapter updoots....though, another thought is once you've either completed the story....or story arc if you decide on a direction of finishing the story then have enough brain fuel :tm: to swing into a sequel, you could culminate an entire side-story / non-canon silliness into it's own Story, since you'll have had all of the story written out, left to settle an such?
Either way....would be nice to see....yet maybe hang fire till you have it in a place where you see the whole story complete as it's been posted and can start doing 'insert funny side story here' , or a lil 'meanwhile in the meme-cascade that is Scarlet's brain' :)

That sounds like an amazing idéa and a great way of world building. Numerous points in the story from different perspective could easily be written.

At least the characters got punished at all, the only other story i read where the main characters got punished after doing something bad is how many friends have you made today? I would like to see things from the Sisters' perspective when they are dressing down the Main 6.

Yeah a lot of times the author will let twilight and friends off with barely a scolding. Knowing that they had actually try to make things right when thanks to a majority of authors including the Canon ones nobody wants them to be published.
