The Memory Stone is gone, and Sunset Shimmer’s friends have regained their lost memories... but her own memory has not returned.

Faced with the reality that her friends would lose their memories of one another, Sunset Shimmer dove in front of the magic shot forth from the Memory Stone, and watched as her memories of her closest friends left her bit by bit. In the end, this act allowed her friends to come out on top, and regain what Wallflower had taken from them in her quest for revenge.

With the memory stone destroyed, the question now is how to restore her memories. After all, who was she without the memories of the events that had defined her? Could she still be the same Sunset Shimmer that her friends remembered, or is that Sunset Shimmer gone forever?

Twilight Sparkle of Equestria certainly doesn’t want to lose a dear friend. But, perhaps, some things really are forever; some things once done cannot be undone.

Twilight receives an urgent message from Sunset Shimmer, a vague cry for help against an unnamed threat. She races to the rescue without question or hesitation, and arrives to find a floating eyeball from beyond the bounds of corporeal reality taking up residence in her kitchen. Is it evil? Malicious? A threat to life as we know it?

...Maybe? It's creepy as heck, either way, and it's wreaking havoc on Sunset's social life, so it's gotta go.

This story is a sequel to Long Road to Friendship

Once upon a time, Sunset Shimmer was a terrible person. Then a pretty purple princess punched her with a rainbow.

She didn't get better.

Now she's stuck in a redemption story. Only she doesn't want to be redeemed. And it's barely a story. Can Sunset survive this satirical retelling of her rise from the ashes?

Well, she doesn't really have a choice.

This is a parody. If you haven't read the original, read that first. It's marginally better than this.

One year ago, the immortal moon lich died.

One year ago, Twilight Sparkle the so-called human moved to Ponyville.

Rarity never believed that, of course. The "human" bit. After all, no human would willingly choose to live in a town of monsters, and no amount of magic or hunting orders or Plans with a capital "P" would ever change her mind on that—especially when said human was so constantly collected and calm.

But... if she wasn't human, what kind of monster could she be?

After the disaster that was her Sunlight Project, Twilight Sparkle somehow manages to ask Sunset Shimmer out on a date. She isn't ready.

That isn't enough to stop her from trying. However, she needs all the help she can get to navigate the relationships in her life.

Sunset and Twilight have known each other for a good number of years now. They've grown incredibly close over that time; falling in love, moving in together, and even getting married. Ask any of their friends, and they'd tell you it was a match made in heaven. Truly, there isn't a thing in the world that could pull these two apart.
